Can Hanna and Will Find True Love Amid the Bright Lights of Reality TV? Perfect for the fans of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette! Six months ago, William stole Hanna’s heart and shattered it in front of millions of people on a reality TV dating show. And now the big-wig CEO is back on Hanna’s home turf in Minnesota and wants her to forgive him? Fat chance of that. But life is swirling around … But life is swirling around faster than snow in a blizzard, and despite her objections, teaming up with William seems like the only option to rescue her reputation.
William has never regretted anything more than the day he gave that ill-fated interview for the reality show, The Price of Love. But while he can’t change the past, he’s determined to fix the future. He just needs to convince Hanna to forgive him—and pretend to be engaged with him. Simple, right?
When the media erupts with even worse accusations, teaming up and pretending to be engaged seems to be the only way to salvage their reputations. Despite the media frenzy that swirls around them, an attraction neither of them can fight off begins to surface. Could this love run deeper than a scandal, or will old wounds tear them apart once and for all? When all seems lost, it’s only with help from above that Hanna and Will may find their happily-ever-after.

Liked the characters and the bit of mystery.
A great read. Finished it in two days.
Couldn’t relate to main character. I don’t know why previous ratings came from. I did not finish, maybe it got better?
fun read
Loved this story!
Very uplifting, happy, just a happy book to make you happy too!
It was an easy good read. Funny.
I really enjoyed this book. Having the characters meet on a reality show was an original for me. I love the Christian based books because I don’t have to worry about language or sex scenes.
Loved it!!
A great story detailing the things that occurred when a Minnesota girl and CEO of a billion dollar company meet on a reality dating show. Many twists and turns involve a potential scandal about fraud in the company. I couldn’t put the book down during the last 15 chapters.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I enjoyed her writing and the fresh voice she gave her characters. First off this is a clean and very relevant story about our relationship with God and others in this age of social media, reality TV and fake news. The author creatively weaves a story based on a reality TV show called the Price of Love and how William and Hanna meet and fall in love among the media frenzy of the show. But unfortunately because of a slip of the tongue by Will their relationship is damaged and the media makes false assumptions and Hanna’s character as a modest and pure Christian is tarnished and Will’s high power job is in jeopardy. The story is engaging and authentic and the characters are easy to relate to because they are flawed and seeking redemption. I will definitely be putting this author on my to read pile from now one.
I received this book as an ARC from the publisher for an honest review. The review is my honest opinion.
The Engagement Plot by Krista Phillips is a faith based romance about Hanna and Will. Six months has passed since Hanna appeared as a contestant on The Price of Love and was chosen by Will the wealthy bachelor. During the episodes for the show Hanna had been given the nickname ‘Holy Hanna’ because she wanted to postpone sexual activity until her marriage. To increase ratings, Will bragged during an interview that he and Hannah had been intimate. Hanna was crushed because of the public backlash to her faith and she felt her trust in Will was destroyed.
Now six months later she rescues Will from a blizzard along the lonely road leading to her father’s farm. He wants to apologize for what happened to her during the show. He also admits that he has a scheme to help save his company but he needs her….and he will publicly help to restore her reputation. Hanna believes in forgiveness and agrees to the deception of an engagement with Will to help with the ratings of his company and Hannah thinks it will help restore her image.
Any plan starting with a deception is sure to have problems. That was my only disappointment with this story. You cannot repair a wrong by planning a deception, in my opinion. But the story is very good and the layers of truth that Hanna and Will’s father deliver to the story is very well written.
