In this dark, action-packed fourth book in the New York Times bestselling Dorothy Must Die series, Amy Gumm travels from Oz to the twisted land of Ev, where she fights to free Oz from evil once and for all.My name is Amy Gumm. You might remember me as the other girl from Kansas. When a tornado swept me away to the magical land of Oz, I was given a mission: Dorothy must die. That’s right, … die. That’s right, everyone’s favorite Wicked-Witch-slayer had let the magic of Oz corrupt her. She turned evil. So I killed her.
But just when we thought it was safe to start rebuilding the damaged land of Oz, we were betrayed. Now I’m following the Road of Yellow Brick as it helps me escape toward the mysterious land of Ev, where the Nome King rules a bleak and angry world. And what I’m about to find is shocking: My original mission may not have been successful.
I thought my job was over, but it’s only just beginning. And it’s up to me to foil Dorothy’s plans for revenge—and finally save the land I’ve come to love.

“Hi, Amy,” I said. “Are you going to kill me now?”
I really liked this book. It ended on a good note and tied everything together nicely. Although the ending still left me wondering, I think this should be the last book because there’s no reason to continue the series after what happened. I loved how Amy evolved since the first book. She became this strong, confident, powerful and caring person. Her and Nox’s relationship was one of the things I loved about this series. It was full of love, compassion and trust.
In this book, Dorothy was stripped of her evil and we actually got to know her character from the alternate point-of-views which was great. I felt like I could actually understand how Dorothy felt when she did all of those horrible things to Oz. It’s great to show both sides of the story, I applaud Danielle Paige for that.
At the ending, I was tearing up so much because of the feelings and emotions that were being displayed. I’m very glad that I decided to read this series. There were little typos throughout the book, like missing a period after a sentence or a misspelling of a word, but overall it was awesome.
This book is the fourth in the “Dorothy Must Die” series. The narrative is told in a back and forth manner between Amy and Dorothy as they both find themselves in the Land of Ev, which helped move the story along for less action throughout the story. I found this last story a good culmination for the series.
Book 91 towards my goal of 285! 4/5 stars for this series finale. I’m sad to see these characters go! Think I’ll read their novellas just to stay in their world a little longer. Great conclusion to a fun series. Definitely recommend!
The End of Oz is the fourth and final book in the serie Dorothy must die.
Just when Amy tought that everything was safe in Oz, it turn out that it was far from being over. Someone betrayed her and the Orders. Now following the Yellow brick road to Ev, where the Nome King rules she found out that her mission to kill Dorothy was not a success.
This book also got chapters from the PoV of Dorothy and we get to see a new side of her. As she’s the Nome King prisonner and he wants her to became is Queen to unite Oz and Ev together… Or he maybe have another plan in store for her.
A big final battle will happen and the future of Oz and Kansas rest on who will win.
It was nice to receive the origin status of Mombi & Polychrome. You get to understand how they developed over time. Growth, betrayal and purpose are given to both and each receives soul scars from tough lessons learned.
The third story was a bit of a let down. It was long and drawn out. But it was interestingly strange how gender fluidity was used in the transformation to keep a chosen one safe.
All and all still worth the time to read and get the entire perspective of Oz and understand why Dorothy Must Die.
