Great book by a great author—check out this and more from Mickey Miller!
Part 2 of The Lying Game – I suggest that you Do Not read this book without first reading TLG. Carter and Lacy have been separated for 4 months, can they ever stand to be without each other forever. This book ties up all the loose ends from the first book in an immensely satisfying way and is a great ending to the duet. I greatly enjoyed this book, much more than the first one, thought I can’t really pinpoint why, and can’t wait to see what Mr. Miller had in store for us next.
“Face it Carter, boundaries were never our thing.”
“I know. But I wanted to respect them, for once in my life.”
What a great finale to the duet!! I loved Carter and Lacy in book one. I wanted to slap Carter at the end of Lying Game but now? Now, he’s wiggled his way in to my heart for good!
Carter Flynn realized he made the biggest mistake of his life. Letting her go. It’s always been her. It will always be her. Now, he just has to convince her to talk to him. Piece of cake, right? He needs her now more than ever as he confronts his past and the emotional fallout that results. But, when his actions bring danger to their door, will he lose her all over again? Will either of them come out of this alive? He let her go once, but this time he’s holding on with everything he has.
Lacy Benson is done with him. He used her. Humiliated her. She’s blocked his number. She’s finally ready to move on. But, the universe has other plans. He’s back, he’s irresistible, and he needs her. Despite her anger, she can’t turn him down. And he’s…..different. Can they make it work this time, or is the Carter she blocked still lurking in the shadows? Can she risk letting her guard down again?
I love a good second-chance romance and this one was the best!! I’d recommend this duet to anyone who loves a friends-to-enemies-to lovers -to enemies-to lovers story!!
Perfect ending! Loved it!
After not so patiently waiting for the ending to that cliffhanger we were left with, I am VERY satisfied with the conclusion of Carter & Lacy’s story. All the delicious steaminess you could desire with all the twists and turns of those crazy Blackwell citizens and their friends & family!
The End Game is the second in the Game Duet and the conclusion of Carter and Lacy’s story. They have had one hell of a long ride from high school sweethearts to now. It has been a ride with many ups and downs, heartbreak, and drama with a few twists to keep it interesting. You will
be rooting for them to find their happy ending but at the same time they will frustrate you and have you wanting to shake some sense into them both. It is obvious that both Carter and Lacy want to be together but they seem to find a way to take the most difficult road possible. In the end, the crazy road they traveled will be all worth it.
This is another hit for Mickey Miller!
Mickey Miller has outdone himself with End Game, the 2nd in the duet which began with Lying Game. End game has angst, emotion, steamy sex, suspense and plot twists you won’t see coming. A must-read!
Wow, this book is simply phenomenal that you NEED to READ—you won’t regret it! This is the epic conclusion of the duet of the Love Games—this is a very good enemy to lover’s sports romance. An engaging story that will keep you captivated and glued to the pages of this fascinating storyline, and the momentum of the story keeps you wanting to read more. This was a perfect blend of lust, steam, danger, suspense, a little humor, and navigating the emotional angst of love with the added complication of the lying game. Carter Flynn made a grave mistake by letting Lacy leave for New York. The tension between Lacy and Carter has reached its boiling point, and Lacy is discovering that maybe she doesn’t hate Carter. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game. Still, Lacy is not willing to give him another chance because Carter is not one to make a commitment. When they finally see each other again, the chemistry is off-the-chart hot, but will Lacy be able to trust Carter knowing there will be no commitment? Will Lacy need to move on? The storyline is fluid, and the characters are extremely well developed. If you are looking for a love story like no other you have read before, then this is definitely the book for you.
I really enjoyed this duet! I empathised with Carter it seemed nothing could go right for him between his father, basketball and Lacey. I just wanted something to go his way. They say nothing worth having comes without a fight and he did! Lance and Joseph were great characters, loved their humour and they seemed so genuine. Lacy seemed a little wish washy for me and was too quick to pull out the pity card for herself. There are many twists and long shots you won’t pick up on and well worth reading to get the answers to all those questions running through your mind.
This is the second part of the Love Game duet and picks up where book #1, the Lying Game ended. This book had drama, humor, heartbreak, angst, and love ..all the things I love in a great story. Carter and Lacey’s chemistry is off the charts and their scenes together are sizzling! It’s obvious that they belong together, and they face many obstacles along their way. This was such an amazing story and another great hit by Mickey Miller!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy.
This is the conclusion to The Game Duet. You have to read The Lying Game before this book. This book starts with Lacy in New York, dancing with Blue Illusion. This is the story that I wanted to read in the first book. I wanted Carter to man up and face all the things that were holding him back from living an amazing life. Lacy finally figured out what she was worth, what she deserved, and she stuck to her guns. But when Carter looks like he can be that man? They are electric together. I liked the action in the story, and how the couple stood in for Chandler. It seems that there might be a few more sibling stories in the works and hopefully an appearance by dear old dad. Fabulous conclusion to an excellent duet.
What a great book. It has all the unanswered questions that you have from The Lying Game in it. It has thing I didn’t see coming and glad they were there to find out.
Holy Crap!!!! What a way to end the Duet! This is the continuation of the first book, The Lying Game, so you NEED to read that first!
Carter and Lacey have had their share of issues with each other, but through it all, they always loved each other, even if they were to stubborn to admit it. In this final book, Mickey Miller ties in characters from the Blackwells Series, and oh man did this get deep! There are twists and turns I never saw coming! Just when you think you know, BAM, plot twist! I really enjoyed this series and I know you will too! Now, if only we could get a book on Joseph and Lance!
Didn’t think it was much at first but holy hell does it get good. I’m hooked. There is a cliffhanger…getting ready to see what happens to Carter and Lacy
Loved this 2 book set
I absolutely loved Carter and Lacy’s conclusion to their story and I gotta say I wasn’t prepared for the stuff that happened and what I’ve learned about Carter and his father that abandoned him and then finding out his father wasn’t a good guy… This book was filled with laughter, love, hate amongst other things. In order to find out what I’m talking about you have to read both The Lying Game and The End Game (in this order) to get the full effect of these incredible characters and their HEA story. Another great book Mickey Miller.
Phenomenal ending to the Duet. This Duet did make me go on one helluva emotional roller-coaster. Had me all up in my feels. I couldn’t have been happier with the ending. Pissed off at what I had to go through to get it though. Totally a one sitting read!!!
Part 2 of this series does not disappoint. Love and lust and danger. So many twists and turns I didnt want it to end. This is my favorite series by Mickey Miller. Just buy it!
This “love-hate” novel is filled with juicy characters that keep you turning pages. Of course, Miller’s writing is always stellar! This is my 5th book by this author. All of them are fabulous.
Let me start my saying you MUST READ The Lying Game (book one) first no questions about it. In book two were brought back to both Lacy and Carter as they each go through their own adjustments from where we left off. This is an emotional rollercoaster ride throughout the book. I enjoyed the duel POV as well, we get to see a whole other side of Carter and see him growing and becoming not a new man but a more well rounded one. This is more then just a sports basketball romance story that I feel everyone would enjoy. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Recommending this book because you have to see what happens with Carter & Lacy & it’s not wrapped up in book one. This book was all over the place with the same old games….Josh…no reason for this. The fact that Lacy would believe Katherine after all of this while knowing her for a minute? Not viable & completely disappointed me. Just too much going on in this book for no reason at all.
