As Princess Elodie nears her 18th birthday she’s been preparing herself to become the warrior Queen. The Enchanted Princess is an entertaining story filled with well developed characters and a well written story that held my attention and flowed smoothly. From the twists and turns to the cliffhanger ending this is a great start to the Broken Curses series.
This is the first book in a new series, Broken Curses. I loved the fairytale feel of the book. I don’t normally read fantasy books, but I couldn’t resist this one. This book has everything from betrayal and suspense to drama and romance. The characters were great and I loved getting to know them. Ms. Brower does an excellent job of pulling you into the story and bringing it to life. I had a great time reading this book and am looking forward to reading book 2!

Nearing her 18th birthday when she is to inherit the throne from her evil stepmother, Fiona, Elodie has been preparing herself by learning fighting skills and defensive moves to be the warrior queen she envisions herself to be. Although Fiona would not have allowed allow this, a protective knight, Cale, has been training her in secret.
When she returns from a lesson, she is informed that Fiona has promised her hand to a minor prince, Daire, whom she despises. Not willing to accept this, she runs away and is followed by both Cale and Daire, but the three of them are mysteriously taken away to a different and dangerous cursed realm filled with magic. Can she get back to her own kingdom? Or will it be stolen away from her?
The first part of a series. Nice storyline and plot. I missed some connection with the main characters. The story did not have that chemistry I had hoped. It is a fantasy story but it lacked depth at times. Enjoyable to read though. Because it is part one of a series it ends in a cliffhanger.
This book had me captivated from the first page. The only down fall is that there is a cliffhanger but I cannot wait to read the next one! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily reviewed it and the comments are my own.
This is an enjoyable and intriguing fantasy story with a young princess pitted against her step-mother. I found the world, action, and adventure interesting and exciting. I did not really like Princess Elodie, but I enjoyed her companions, and the story kept me reading in spite of the female MC.
It is important to note that this book is part one of a continuing story, rather than being one in a series of standalone stories. You will not find out the end of everyone’s stories unless you read additional books.
