“Mrs. Pollifax gives Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple a rival to reckon with.”—Toronto StarIf you make it across the border, get us help. Some of us care. Do you understand? Right now we desperately need passports and identity papers. The arrests grow insane. At the very hour this message was en route to the CIA, Mrs. Pollifax was waiting for her night-blooming cereus to do its thing. She hardly got … cereus to do its thing.
She hardly got to see it, however, because Mr. Carstairs was already on his way to recruit that gallant lady for another daring mission.
Soon the most unlikely of all international spies was sporting a beautiful new hat—perfect for hiding eight forged passports.

Always love Mrs Polifax!
I love all the Mrs. Pollifax books – they’re dated but some of the themes are timeless, and they’re fun and usually relatively light-hearted.
The Pollifax books never disappoint! I absolutely loved all her books. Always kept me guessing how things would end!
One of the earlier and one of the best books in the series – very memorable characters dealing with thought-provoking challenges that are still relevant, all wrapped up in delightful story telling.
Interesting characters and situations!

LOVE THESE BOOKS SUCH FUN
Not one of this series is less than terrrific.
Look forward to reading more of these books.
I LOVE Mrs. Pollifax! Plan to get them all. Have read several of them and they are quite entertaining as well as a heroine in my age bracket. If you haven’t read them before, start with the first which is Amazing Mrs. Pollifax, but after that you can read them in any order and not have any problems.
Wonderfully interesting and fun to read
Fun read. Mrs. Polifax is a modern-day inter-active Miss Marple. She’s a fun lady. Story moved along nicely. Maybe a little far-fetched, but very reminiscent of the time it was written.
Love her books. It’s about time that my heroine is over the age of 50!
It is wonderful to reread the cozy adventure of Mrs Pollifax. My best word for her books is delightful.
