Will Jacq be able to reach the final checkpoint with her heart and her life intact, or will The Elemental Trial prove too daunting?

Whoa buddy this race is really getting interesting now!! We pick up right after the first trial ended where they get a brief break to rest and recover before the second trial starts. This leads to some more secrets, roaming, and surprises just in time for the second trial. Only they have a twist where they have to work with a second team during this part with the team assignments changing after each checkpoint. This makes things quite interesting after everything that went down last time. you are never going to be able to guess what will be coming from page to page. Great addition to this amazing series! I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
A Nail Biting 4.5 Stars
The second Trial has more twists & turns in store for all of the pair’s of teams. Initially it actually seems less harmful & deadly than the Trials they faced in book #1 – It seems that the Faerie Realm often has a twisted way of doing things though, and this is proved true again in this instalment! The secrets around ‘The Brotherhood’ are gradually being unlocked by our two heroes but will they be able to stop what is planned?? The romance between Jacq & Orin, although slow burn, finally starts to manifest in this book!
I’m loving this tense, nail biting & thoroughly exciting series!! I can’t wait for book #3, this was another gripping read, 4.5 stars

I found “The Fear Factor” painful to watch at best. It always threw me to watch people doing the most amazingly scary things to win. I frequently wondered how far producers would go to get ratings. “The Elemental Trial” goes straight to the worse tests that I imagined producers could come up with and surpasses them; at least the “Fear Factor” producers did their best to avoid deaths. The teams working together in “The Elemental Trial” was supposed to illustrate the value of teamwork. That only illuminated the overly competitive and wildly unethical drive to win at any cost shown by most of the contestants. Jacq and Orin shine as the only people willing to play fairly, even though those around them are trying their best to drag them down.
I received a copy of this from the author and i am voluntarily reviewing it.
The race continues and they are in even more danger if that’s possible. As the race progresses and contestants start having a harder time, suspicion grows. This book picks up right where the last one left off. The romance is sparking between partners and the two mc’s of course feel it but don’t speak on it. This is unfortunately where the writing is cliche, yes everyone is beautiful and everyone is spoken for. Teasing and flirting threaten the budding romance, but they quickly recover when they are once again shown they can trust no one. Lives will be lost and challenges are more intelligence than magic this time around but it doesn’t put a damper on the action. We’re left hanging by our toenails and ready for the next book in the series and I can’t wait.
Super exciting and action packed. Not one dip pace even when the contestants are at rest. This is a fantastic series and will not disappoint.
Round 2 in the race and things are getting deadlier than ever. Jacq and Orion and fighting their natural attraction for each other. We learn more about The Brotherhood. Cassie makes an unexpected appearance. There seems to be as much going on behind the scenes as there is on the TV.
The race continues as our contestants gear up for another round of trials in The Faerie Race. Our contestants are off on another quest in The Elemental Trial which turns out to be more dangerous than the first trial, The Sorcery Trial.
All the contestants are fighting to win not caring if lives are lost. Jacq is determined to win so that she can win the grand prize and hopefully use it to save her sister. Jacq’s sister disappeared a couple of years ago and Jacq traced her whereabouts to the Faerie realm. The only way Jacq can enter the Faerie realm is through the The Faerie Race.
The trials are dangerous. The contestants are dangerous. Lives are in danger. Will the producers allow lives to be lost for a TV show? Do they worry more about the ratings of the show than lives? Will Jacq and Orin make it out alive? Will all of the contestants make it out? Will anyone be left by the wayside?
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about the faerie world and the trials in both books one and two in The Faerie Race. I love both the danger that the contestants are put in. I love the thriller of the danger and the twists of each trial. I love the thrill and the excitement of each trial as the contestants race to compete against one another and the waiting to see who will make it to the end. I love seeing how the characters have to work together as a team to make it through the trials.
Just the dangerous situations the contestants are put through is enough to keep the pages turning until that last page is flipped to find out who will make it to the end. I would love to see The Faerie Race on the big screen one day.
I would recommend The Elemental Trial to all fans of fantasy, faerie, fae and reality TV shows.
jacq and orin are back for round two after a gruelling and terrifying first round. are they ready for the next set of challenges and the risks that accompany them. grab your book and find out.
These races are phenomenal! I think this series should really be made into a movie or tv show! There is much drama. There is so much action! It took me on one adventurous crazy ride! I can’t wait to read the next book!
I am loving this series! Carrying on from book 1 this well written story has a fantastic addictive plot filled with action, deception, danger and twists and turns and I just can’t get enough of it! I cannot wait to read book 3!
This is the second book in the series, and I have to say that I could not put it down. The Elemental Trial was just as fast paced, if not more, than The Sorcery Trial. Jacq and Orin are becoming closer as well as proving to themselves and others that they will do anything and everything in their power to succeed with their morality intact. Now that they have completed and survived The Sorcery Trials, Jacq and Orin now must not only work together, but they have to trust their new teammates in order to finish this trial in one piece. The Elemental Trial is a quick read full of magic, mayhem, love, and betrayals. This does end on a cliffhanger and there were unexpected surprises that made me mad and made me cry. I highly recommend this book to those who like magic and action mixed with innocent attractions. I received an eArc of this book, and this was my honest opinion. I can hardly wait to find out how this ends.
ONE WILD ROLLERCOASTER RIDE!!!
Nerve racking! This dynamic duo jumps right over gold and takes platinum. The drama, uncertainty, determination, danger and suspense thrust bombshell together piece by piece fluidly. Dealing through all the trials and tribulations, along with a few twists and turns catapults this baby together sleek, shiny and tight. A a churning vortex of inadvertent activities and vexing surprising events keep you flipping page after page. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer, rocking this little gem to the core. The characters are authentic, believable and original with depth and traits adding just enough flaws to spice things up keeping you on a razors edge. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. Incredible job guys, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
A fast paced read that is action packed. With lots of twists and turns. If you love fantasy worlds, that will take you away into its World, with a great story and world building as well as you feel like you get to know the Characters. Then this is the read for you. This read will grab you from the first page to the last. I definitely recommend.

This series just keeps getting better and better!
I did not think this writing duo could top the first book “The Sorcery Trial”, but I was wrong! I feel like I’ve been plunged into the world of the Faerie Race. Armitage and Luana take you to a place that is so haunting that I have to look around as I am reading to remind myself that this is an urban fantasy world! I love it!!! This story is like “Death Race” on steroids. The storyline, the plots, the action, the twists are so imaginative and exciting and let’s not forget the romance, all work together to bring you one of the best series of the year!!! But don’t start here, you MUST read “The Sorcery Trial” first. I guarantee you will not regret it. I’m on pins and needles for the next book. I addicted to this series. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review and I’ve never enjoyed leaving a review more!! 5++++
The Elemental Trial is Book 2 in The Faerie Race series. Claire and J.A. have created an exceptional story. Their ability with words create a wonderful picture of the action and puts you in the middle so you experience what’s happening. Jacq, our MC, is determined to win this race no matter what she must face. This is a step above he Sorcery Trial which was fabulous. This is a series that you must read — you will not be sorry you did. Am anxious to see what Claire and J.A. have planned for us in Book 3. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and hones review.
I’m loving this series! Jacq and Orin are so amazing! I can’t get enough of this series, I need the next book NOW!
We pick up where we left off from the first book and let me tell you….it doesn’t disappoint! Once again the characters are incredible. The storyline is top notch and the world building is absolutely amazing!
That was EXHILARATING! I thought The Sorcery Trial was intense. Nope. This was nail-bitingly exciting. Orin and Jacq have a good friendship going on and Tristram is obnoxiously arrogant as usual. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
The FFR is intensifying as the second leg begins. Dangerous mysteries surround the race and the people involved in organizing it. Jacq doesn’t have anyone to trust but her partner Orin and her cameraman friend Ben. As things heat up in more ways than one for Jacq she must carry on and not only win but survive.
Really love this series! Book two picks up right where one left off. Exciting from the start these characters and this story continues to captivate. So very excited to see what happens in part three!
I received an ARC for free from the author. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
Wow they sure don’t believe in playing fair do they. I don’t think that if someone died they would care, spoke to soon someone did. To me that hurt. This trial the players had to work with another team and they traded off in each one. Crazy times. Good story. I really enjoyed reading it. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
I am in love with these authors and this series of book’s so far are out of this world.
I’m normally quite a slow reader, but it only took me a day to read this book
I’m loving the chemistry between Jacq and Orin and her reluctance to admit it. The way all of the characters interact with each other throughout the book is brilliant, especially because in this book to get through they have to work together or fail.
It just seems that the game is rigged and only one set of teammates are supposed to win. I so can’t wait for the next instalment, as hopefully we will meet the long lost sister, who set an explosion off so that she could pass Jacq a note, cue the drum roll. This book had so many twists and turns that it gave me whiplash, and still left me panting for more.
As I turned to the last page I couldn’t believe it and let out a little scream, I know you might think that this is a bit dramatic, but read the book and then tell me if I’m dramatic
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone as it is such a great read you won’t be disappointed I promise you
The Elemental Trial: The Faerie Race by J.A. Armitage and Claire Luana is better than the first installment, The Sorcery Trial. The storyline flows smoothly and the character development is very good.
A televised race with one fae and one human on a team in Faerwild is being filmed and televised in both the Human and Faeiry worlds. This Race is meant to introduce both worlds to each other in an exciting race. Unfortunately, the contestants didn’t realize just how filled with duplicity, intrigue, and even murder this race would be.
This second installment in the series starts right where the first one ended. With this in mind, I don’t recommend reading as a stand-alone book as there is no backstory on the characters or the first Trial.
To spice up the race for the viewers, the remaining teams have been grouped into four member teams. The stakes are high and the betrayals are everywhere and each Trial gets more difficult and deadlier. Orin and Jacq can’t trust anyone, except each other. Two contestants already died, will someone else die this time?
I can’t help but give five stars for this second installment in this fantasy series. There are such great plot developments and so many twists and turns that your mind will be turning as fast as you turn the pages.
I did receive an advance readers copy from the authors. The above is my honest and voluntary review.
