Weston Kincaid was my first…everything. My brother’s best friend should have come with a warning label. The man was a cautionary tale and we were the ill-fated cliché. The star quarterback to my loner art geek. But I didn’t listen. Not to the warnings. Not to my instincts. I fell, and I fell hard. Then he left and I was forced to pick up the pieces of my broken heart. A decade and a lifetime … broken heart.
A decade and a lifetime later, he’s back.
Only instead of being the star jock, he’s now a surgeon.
A sexy, irresistible surgeon who happens to save my friend’s life. As if all that isn’t bad enough, he has it in his determined, arrogant head that we should pick up where we left off.
But this time, it’ll take more than devouring looks and the rush of his touch to temp me back into his bed.
And my heart? Not an option.
He’s about to figure out, I’m not the same girl he left behind.

Weston is a surgeon and Aria’s brother’s best friend. He was the guy she fell for as a teenager and now he is her best friend’s surgeon. Their story will break you in so many ways but it’s a story that will take you so high you never want to come down.

A great story where a guy and girl are falling for one another but this a forbidden romance. He is his best friend and she is his best friend’s little sister and they are childhood neighbors. Things are changing drastically as these characters grow older and ia tragic event forces their paths to cross. An exciting story with a little ‘who dun it’ to keep things moving. Well written with a lot of emotion and feelings. I look forward to reading more. Enjoy!

I love this new J. Saman story, she is a “Must Get”; for me and sure doesn’t disappoint with this new story. It’s a Brother’s Best Friend story and done so very well. Lots of emotion, drama, angst and sarcasm. The use of flashbacks works well to explain some of the story, keeping you in the know without confusion. Great story, well worth the read.

No matter how many times I read this book I love it each time. It’s not just the sarcastic interactions between the H and H but the best friends in the story. Also the flash backs are perfect for the story Ave don’t confuse you while telling the story. Totally a must read!!!!

I really enjoyed reading The Edge of Forever by J. Saman because it was a wonderful second chance story about Aria and Wes. They knew each other since they were younger because they were next door neighbors and Wes was best friends with Aria’s brother. They were in love with each other, but each had a different path in life to take with Wes wanting to be a doctor and Aria wanting to be an artist. Life went on and brought them back together again due to Aria’s best friend almost being killed and was in a coma. The chapters went back and forth between the past and the present and all that happened in the span of them not being together. I loved this story so much. I would highly recommend reading it. I also love the cover. Wes is just so gorgeous!!

Brother’s best friend trope is definitely my jam, especially when so beautifully written as The Edge of Forever is. Aria and Wes are wonderfully complex characters, given a second (or third) chance at not just chemistry but a real relationship.
I love first person dual narration, because I feel like I’m inside both character’s emotions. I also enjoy the fact that the male lead is the one who’s feeling a step out of sync instead of the female…it’s a nice change of pace!
I didn’t read book one in the series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing information to enjoy this book. Although, I’m definitely intrigued about the next one!
I think I found a new one-click author in J. Saman!
The Edge of Forever by J. Saman. Emotionally charged story of redemption and second chances. I felt an instant connection to Wes and Aria that led me to routing for their HEA before we even got to the halfway mark. Their personalities and banter, and undeniable chemistry was a big hit for me. This book is filled with drama, personal conflicts, heated passion, and hopes that the one that got away is here to stay. I would recommend this story and this author to others. In this story we get a heartbreaking tale of love lost, fate, and second chances. Weston and Aria have known each other for a long time but all he has ever seen her as is off limits since she is his best friend’s younger sister. They go round and round through high school years of pining for each other, but Weston never feels like he is good enough for her, he is too old for her (only by 3 years though) and trying to keep his loyalty to his friend. Aria has loved him her whole life and even if she tries to tell herself otherwise to keep things casual, she knows it will hurt when he leaves. Fate plays a big role in their lives when the timing of being together never seems right. Weston wants her to be free to do all she dreams of and things with his life isn’t always the best, so they do spend years apart. Years later it seems fate has deemed it time for them to be together even if it occurs on the tails of Aria’s best friend being extremely hurt. This story was heartbreaking for Josh (Aria’s friend) but mostly because their timing never gets right, and Aria fears another heartbreak from Weston. Weston knows now is his time with Aria and refuses to give up on them, but can he convince her to take the leap once again or will she run? I loved these characters, and the storyline was amazing with some twists I never saw coming. I read Drew’s story first and knowing what happens to him in it I was still sad for him in this one, but knew it was for the best. All the side characters were amazing and supportive, Weston was pure perfection in his alpha but sweet ways.
Words cannot express how incredible this story of forbidden love between two people, Wes and Aria, who belong together yet the timing never seems to work for them. She is the younger sister of his best friend and they both feel it’s best to keep their feelings for each other a secret. They definitely have incredible chemistry, but life just doesn’t always work out for them.
Aria is a young girl who you can’t help but love because she doesn’t conform to what everyone expects her to. She’s independent, feisty, loyal and loving. When her best friend gets hurt and ends up in the hospital, never in a million years did she expect who his doctor would be. Emotions come to the forefront and Aria has to make some difficult decisions. Wes, a surgeon, can’t believe when he sees Aria. All those old feelings surface and he wants to show Aria that they truly belong together. But can old wounds really heal?
As I read this story of forbidden love, I could feel the emotions of these characters. The love they feel for each other was so palpable, yet I wasn’t sure if they could work out their past. Wes and Aria are the kind of characters you can connect with. I fell in love with both of them and so will you. This story is a complete and definite must read! I loved everything about it and so will you!
This second chance romance story was well written with characters that were so well detailed that I was totally engaged until the very last page was turned!
This was a second-chance, friend’s little sister, taboo age and mystery all wrapped up into one. It was a very entertaining read, with lots of very romantic overtones, suspense, great flashbacks, swoony hero and tough heroine.
Aria is an artist, successful at that. Wes is a trauma surgeon, and her first everything. They’ve been apart for 10 years, and her best friend Josh ending up on his operating table brings them back together. There’s a lot to unpack, and I don’t want to give too much away or spoil anything. These two have chemistry in spades, but issues because of their past they need to work through. So much good stuff here! Wes is one of the most swoon-worthy book boyfriends I’ve come across in a while and Aria is a whole lot of relatable.
I would definitely recommend this read!
I really enjoyed Aria and Wes story it is a really good brother’s best friend romance so was just perfect for me. These two were young and in love but Wes left her and devastated her when she was 18 now ten years have past and she is doing really well for herself and he is back and determined to win her back. I really enjoyed this one it is well written and the characters were really likable
