Flora has been masquerading as a French maid for years. Though she despises having to hide her skill at the piano and has no innate fondness for mending, she is happy to no longer be on the run. When a handsome earl who sent butterflies fluttering through her chest as a child discovers her French is atrocious, Flora is in immediate need of a new position, lest her true identity be discovered.… discovered.
Christmas has never been Lord Wolfe McIntyre’s favorite season. His parents never celebrated it, and he never thought he would succumb to sentimentality as an adult. After all, he runs a gaming hell. But after his sister’s engagement is broken, Wolfe vows to host a magnificent holiday ball so his sister can find a husband before the next season. The only problem? His lack of knowledge about the holiday.
Wolfe is shocked when his friend’s maid appears at his manor house in Scotland. When he hired a Christmas consultant, he was expecting a stern Bavarian woman with a knowledge of Yule logs, not an alluring young woman whom he last saw claiming a blatantly false identity and who seems distressed at seeing him. Wolfe is even more shocked when he discovers he… desires her. Earls are certainly not supposed to find their servants appealing, no matter how much they fill their homes with Yuletide joy and music. But perhaps there’s a reason Flora looks familiar…

This is the 3rd book in a series. It is great t to read at any time but its better to read it in the series order. Each book is romantic, funny, unrealistic and fun to read. The plot is nicely woven around a young woman, Flora, who is masquerading as a ladies maid, and an earl, Wolfe, who is the son of a dastardly villain and the sister who believed she was betrothed to Wolfe’s best friend. Very fun to read and as with each book in the series, it has an ending that does not disappoint.
light romantic (M&B)
Very good book. Well written
Intriguing story. Had more of a story line.
A clean romantic eventually story. The earl reeks masculinity and charm, the consultant beauty and wit. Interesting characters. There is a mystery aspect to the story and Christmas was never so much fun. Read and enjoy.
A fun entertaining read.
A fun read!
What a great story with fun characters, unusual plot – all centered around Christmas!
It was a cute little love story
Quick read that’s fun.
Bianca Blythe’s The Earl’s Christmas Consultant (Wedding Trouble Book 3) is a totally fun romp. It requires a bit of a suspension of belief (an Earl running a gaming hell, romance seemingly between the classes, etc) but nothing is totally implausible here. I love our Earl and totally adore Flora, her courage and character. I also adore the humor of this book as well as it’s beautiful romance. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
I enjoyed this story, as it was a tale told out of the normal Regency ballroom – it took place in Scotland. The characters were all likable, except the villain. Flora has been working as a French Lady’s maid to disguise herself from the villain for the last few years. She hates having to give up her passion of playing the piano and really does not enjoy all the mending, cleaning etc as a lady’s maid.
Lord Wolfe McIntyre is the handsome earl that she idolized when she was very young and her father gave him piano lessons and now he finds her where she works for his friend wife and questions her on her French which he finds to be lacking and calls her out on it. Now she must find new employment before he tells her employers she is a liar.
Wolfe’s family never celebrated or cared for Christmas but after his sister’s engagement is broken, Wolfe decides to host the best ball ever at his estate in Scotland – he will invite all the eligible bachelors he knows and likes to give his sister a chance to find a husband before the next season in London. The main problem with this scenario is he has no knowledge regarding celebrating the holiday or a themed Christmas ball. All the fun, danger, planning, romance and love start here after he hires Flora as his Christmas Consultant. I recommend this entertaining and romantic read!
A sweet Christmas story that shows that the season can bring people together. Flora has been hiding pretending to be a french maid but has to hide her true talents. But when Lord Wolfe finds out she is not French at all, she knows she needs to find a new position. But of all things it is at Wolfe’s house!
Wolfe needs help hosting a Christmas ball that could help his sister find a spouse, when he engagement is broken. He hires a consultant to help him with the details and none other than Flora appears! Totally unexpected but as they spend time together the attraction begins to grow!
Fascinating Story!
This is Flora and Wolf’s love story and what a beautiful one it is!
I loved the versatility of Flora. She is such a determined and resourceful young lady who feels from the heart.
The story itself is well written and reads quickly and easily and I am happy to recommend it.
I was supplied with an Advance Readers copy and my review above is voluntary and unbiased.
I’ve enjoyed other books by Bianca Blythe. My impression is the writing of this was rushed, perhaps to get it out for the pre-Christmas weeks. A bit of revision and fleshing out of the story would improve it. Therefore, my rating is “OK”.
By taking a position as a maid, Flora has been “hiding” from the man who murdered her father. This is reiterated several times, but the reason for the killing is mentioned only near the end and in passing.
Flora is happily employed as a duchess’ maid. She certainly has no plans to advertise her services as a Christmas consultant. Yet when a handsome earl discovers she is not who she says she is, Flora needs a new position quickly. Christmas has never been Lord McIntyre’s favourite season, but after his sister’s engagement is broken, the earl vows to host a magnificent ball so she can find a husband. After his secretary spots an advertisement for a Christmas consultant, he hires her. The earl is shocked when his friend’s maid appears at his manor house in Scotland
This is the third book in the series & we’ve already been introduced to Wolf & Fiona in earlier books. Fiona was happy being a maid in Norfolk but when her mistress marries & moves to London Fiona knows she’ll not be safe. The pace is good & the characters well fleshed. Wolf & Fiona are very likeable & are attracted to each other from before meeting in Scotland, but she’s a servant & he’s an earl so there can’t be a future for them, but then again it is Christmas! A charming heart warming story.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
