Love left me off its to-do list.I date. I’m all for giving guys a chance. I’ve just never met the one.Until on a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist. Logan Steele is all tousled hair, hard chest and lips so perfect I want to reach out and touch them just to check they’re real. I’m sure that’s a thunderclap of chemistry I feel between us.Did I … feel between us.
Did I mention he’s an Earl with a self-made fortune?
A billionaire who works tirelessly for charity?
And he’s so hot, watching him is like staring at the sun.
But like I said, love isn’t rooting for me.
When I find out Logan Steele is out to destroy everything I’ve dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage.
It no longer matters that he quickens my pulse just saying my name, weakens my knees with a single touch and that he might just be the greatest kisser that ever lived.
I might believe in love but Logan Steele is definitely not the one.
A standalone romance.

I love this book. It’s funny, moving, heartbreaking, and erotic, and it is impossible not to become addicted to Logan and Darcy.
I love how Logan and Darcy meet. Louise Bay uses this moment to establish who they are: a wealthy man of title but not entitled and a woman who eschews the popular, preferring instead the purity of tradition.
I love how they push and pull each other away and toward. They like each other, but they fear their feelings. When Louise Bay (finally) brings their naughty bits together, it is GLORIOUS. All of that “what are we going to do with how we feel” explodes into some sizzling passion.
I love how Louise Bay doesn’t force conflict. She lets the issues between Logan and Darcy evolve organically, remaining true to her characters. Sometimes that conflict made me cry, and I can’t hate her for that.
I love the ending. It is perfection.
Come join me in a love-fest for The Earl of London. You won’t regret it.
It’s finally Darcy’s time for love. Darcy is Ryder’s sister from the Duke of Manhattan and has spent her life devoted to her home and village of Woolton. A chance meeting while on a ride on the grounds at the spot she used to play with her brother as a child brings Logan into her very safe world.
Logan is a mover and a shaker. A man that knows exactly what he wants from life. He wants to restore the family home for his grandmother that raised him. He wants to build his business and life while helping others. And he wants to do all those things while not making the same mistakes as his father. He’ll find his success and satisfaction in life with no strings female companionship.
There’s a lot of fighting between Darcy and Logan. Darcy is adamant that Woolton remain the small close knit community that she can remember. She detests the city people coming in to change the village only to abandon it. Logan wants to build something of his very own instead of the acquiring business and making them successful. He submits plans to build a resort of sorts for Londoners to come and stay in the country. It would be a win-win, because it would employ those in the community and bring in some revenue. Darcy has strong opinions and fights him every step of the way.
Finally the tension breaks, and as always, Louise Bay knows how to bring the spark with her characters. While Darcy’s attitude grated on me for a good portion of the book, it’s what makes Bay’s writing so good. I kept wanting to see how she’d draw me in and root for these characters. And never to disappoint, she does just that. By the time Bay got these characters together, I was all in. I can’t wait for the next Bay masterpiece.
I really enjoyed this book and as is the norm with a Louise Bay book. The women aren’t walk overs, they stand up for what they always believe in and are completely strong and independent. A feeling of who needs a man shines through.
It took me sometime to get into this book as I didn’t really have the feels for it and then all of a sudden boom, I was sucked in and in love completely with the characters. Darcy Westbury stole my heart and the character of this book completely goes to her. But coming a close second is smooth as hell Logan Steele. There cat and mouse, love and hate relationship builds through out this book. And by the end you get exactly what you wished for all along.
A lot of the characters are familiar and make appearances throughout But two fantastic characters are Aurora whom I hope achieves her own story as it will be more than deserved. And Grandma Steele is another character who made me smile huge and is a large part of this book.
This book is a huge recommend from me. You just got to love a beautiful love story, set in a sleepy village as breathtaking as Woolton.
I most certainly, absolutely, unequivocally fell in love with Logan Steele in The Earl of London. This is actually Darcy’s story, the girl I’ve grown to love in previous Louise Bay books, and I did love the feisty and confident Darcy, but Logan stole my heart.
The Earl of London is not all hearts and flowers. Darcy and Logan are not actually set on finding a mate to live out their lives in married bliss. A chance encounter in the mist of the country fog starts our characters on a whirlwind journey of war and love, together, at the same time. How utterly absurd you say! I say, “How utterly magnificent!” The push and pull, the sassy comebacks, the tender moments, the self-discovery, Darcy’s quick assumptions, all made this book so much fun to read. It had me squirming in my seat just waiting to see where the couple would end up next.
Logan was unpredictable and ever so sexy. How could anyone not fall for him? Does Darcy have an extra layer of armour against his charms. She must because she is hard work, she gives Logan a run for his money, makes him earn every touch, yet never really needs anything from him but love and the dreaded commitment. Darcy is such an amazing, independent woman, with self-respect and spine of steel. She knows what’s important to her and, she doesn’t back down.
Every chapter unveils some new element into the story and reading it was honestly like a breath of fresh Wooltan air. I didn’t find it predictable, I fell in love with the lengths Logan would go to prove his love, after I hated him for a few chapters of course. One of the best parts for me was the setting: the beautiful English countryside always makes me swoon and its close proximity to the city of London gives us Americans a glimpse at a different life. Well, who am I kidding? Reading about a rich, British businessman and how he seduces a very saucy, but proper, English Lady will do that to me too!
I’ve only recently come to know the works of Louise Bay but now I look for them, watch for them, and crave them. I’m so happy she has a whole catalogue of backstories I can dive into while I sit patiently waiting for her to write another one of her amazing stories.
I’ve been looking forward to Darcy’s book and I loved it!!
Darcy and Logan will be butting their heads all the way straight to an HEA! Darcy fiercely loves a few things in her life – Woolton, her family, and tradition. These passions tended to be all consuming for her and leave little time for much else. When she meets her newest neighbor she is thrown by his charm and features until she learns of his dastardly plans to come in and change everything she holds dear. Logan has toiled for years to right the sins of his father and prove his own name in the world. When a chance to right a supreme arises he takes its and ends up neighbor to the fiery and fantastic Darcy who both bewitches and beguiles him. She is an opponent like he’s never had before and frankly he feels like he is going down for the count where she is concerned.
I voluntarily read an reader copy of this book.
I was so excited to read Earl of London, we finally get Darcy’s story after meeting her in Duke of Manhattan as Ryder’s sister.
Darcy Westbury is a country girl, living the village life on the Woolton Estate. All her happy memories involve her time growing up in the gorgeous Manor House, so when someone buys up the Badsley Estate next door, she’s eager to find out their intentions to ensure her grandparents legacy remains unscathed.
Logan Steele is a city guy who loves his life in London. Being a successful businessman and bachelor, he exudes power in every aspect of his life, including the women he meets. Until he’s informed that Badsley is going on the market. Being able to buy back his grandmothers beloved home has always been his aim, but he didn’t count on meeting Darcy.
Will it be a battle of the sexes, or will they realise that love really does conquer all?
I’m totally in love with Darcy and Logan’s story, and loved that we saw more of Ryder and Scarlett with their little family too!!!
Louise Bay has a unique style of writing, whether her story be about the rich and famous or the more every day characters, you are wrapped up in their stories and swept along, riding a rollercoaster of emotions. Every single character is relatable in some way, regardless of their background or financial status, and there are always realistic elements in every story.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Louise, but no matter how much I love her books, I’m never quite prepared for how amazing every new release is! With every book she writes, she sets the bar higher for the next one, and even though I think ‘she can’t possibly beat this book’, she releases a new one and leaves me completely astounded by the brilliance of this book!
10 HUGE
If you could choose how not to meet your hot new neighbor–it would be face down in the mud. Too bad Darcy didn’t get to choose.
Logan was used to strong, professional, tall women. Why was he so curious about his new neighbor, short, curvy, and covered in mud. He had to know more. Moving to the country was for his grandmother, one of those huge promises he’d made himself. Get her family estate back. Darcy turned out to be a benefit for himself.
They had little in common and plenty at odds. Is there are a way to get past their pasts, their differences, and their fear of commitment? Attraction wasn’t the problem. The steam fairly bubbled around them. He didn’t see a woman more than once so why did he keep coming back to her? Why was he working so hard for her acceptance?
Two people with troubled childhoods. Loyalty and family priorities. For Darcy, her little village around her estate was hers to protect as well. In doing so was she protecting her heart and losing a chance for a future?
Watch these two strong people come to terms with a future and learning to compromise and to love. I enjoyed the story and recommend it to all romance fans. The characters are interesting, grow, and the steam runs hot.

I truly enjoyed reading The Earl of London by Louise Bay. This enemies to lovers story captivated me from the start. The characters were great together and I loved watching their back and forth! Their journey was not an easy one, but one I enjoyed reading and highly recommend.
Logan Steele was one sexy man who was confident and determined. He is man accustomed to getting what he wants, always. He came off as arrogant, yet they were drawn to each other from the start. I loved how strong and determined Darcy was. She believes in love but does not think it is meant for her. While Logan wanted nothing to do with relationships.
Even so, Logan and Darcy are eventually drawn to each other. You can feel their chemistry and connection. Yet Darcy was not pushover. She stood up for what she wanted and I loved that about her and watching Logan fall. They had so much push and pull throughout the story and I loved it. Could they find a way to each other before it was too late?

Happy reading.
I totally fell in love with Logan and Darcy’s story. Logan buys his Grandmother’s childhood home and meets his beautiful neighbor, Darcy. A perfect, beautiful story like only Louise can do. I enjoyed the entire book.
Swoon worthiness from beginning to end . Logan Steele and Darcy Westbury are both insatiably combustible together! They were both so headstrong and powerful in their own right. Logan is a beast in the boardroom. He had to climb his way back to the rich and elite. The love for adorable grandmother and pure drive, he has finally accomplished his goal. He has purchased his grandmother’s home which was lost due to a misfortune in the past. He soon discovers his beautiful and stubborn neighbor Darcy. Darcy’s family are wealthy but she is far from snobby or the typical socialite. She and Logan are instantly attracted to each other but she tries to deny it in the beginning. Her main purpose was reserve the small village of Wooton from developers like Logan. She’s trying to prevent the village from becoming another tourist attraction for the rich and keep local businesses from going out of business. Logan and Darcy’s insecurities are revealed as the story unfolds but love with conquer all! Another amazing book by Louise Bay!
I found this read truly delightful. With a wonderful blend of heat, heart, drama and steam, you will quickly find yourself swept into Darcy and Logan’s romance. Plenty of sparks and witty barbs flying between these two only add to the very engaging appeal of this book. A great read!
Super cute book! I loved the characters! I loved the chemistry Darcy and Logan had! I found myself smiling so much through out this book! I’m a huge fan of banter so this was right up my ally!
If you like a feisty, tell it how it is and caring female then Darcy is for you! If you like a goes after what he wants, says all the right things, is tall and hot then Logan is for you!
And if you like all that wrapped up in a good story then this book is totally for you!
Mountains to climb
It took a lot of emotional wrangling and soul searching for Darcy and Logan to overcome the shadows of their respective childhoods, and when they finally do it’s magic!
If you are someone like me who has been waiting for Darcy’s story, your wait is over! With the English countryside as the backdrop, Louise Bay brings Darcy’s story to life! Darcy Westbury is a strong, independant woman who is fiercely committed to preserving the traditions and history of the village that she has called home her entire like. In walks Logan Steele who is also strong, independent and use to getting his way and upends the quiet, dependable life that Darcy has crafted for herself. Darcy has meet her match in Logan and their chemistry and connection is instant, but will they both put their stubbornness aside and see that sometimes the person you think is so wrong for you is actually, oh so right? This story is beautifully written and I enjoyed every delicious, funny, maddening, heartwarming, sexy word! Bravo, Louise Bay on another 5 star read!
Darcy & Logan
I truly fell in love with these characters and the people that live in their world. Darcy is a strong, independent English woman. She takes great pride in family, history, and heritage. She doesn’t need a man but yes it would be nice to have someone to share her life with. The moment that she sees Logan from across the grounds she can not look away. He is beyond handsome with his square jaw line, tall and muscular but lean with such a swagger that she can not look away. When their eyes meet yes it is an immediate attraction with an air of mystery!
Logan is a smart, handsome savvy business man that holds his grandmother with great respect and regard. He has finally purchased a home in the countryside with a sprawling landscape to give to the woman who raised him. He feels that he has finally given her everything that she could ever want. Although his grandmother would love so much more, things that money can just not buy.
Darcy shall we say is not anyone that he would think he needs and wants. She surprises him at every turn. She nothing like the women he dates. She is so sassy, strong willed, opinionated with such a natural beauty and presence. He has never found this appealing until now! They may have an immediate attraction but once Darcy finds out what Logan intents to use the land surrounding his estate the gloves come off and she will fight him tooth and nail. There is a fine line in Love and War and they may just fall across it!!
Loved it !!
The Earl of London is a gorgeous story, beautifully written and I enjoyed every swoony moment of it.
The beautiful English countryside comes alive between the pages of this book. Ms Bay’s talented writing conjures up such imagery that I could almost feel the fresh air on my face and the grass between my toes. Logan is a hard nosed businessman, single minded and ruthless when it comes to dealing with work related issues. However, there’s a softer side to him which quickly becomes apparent once his grandmother enters the picture. He’s become a firm favourite of mine when it comes to book boyfriends, even if I did want to kick his backside on occasions! Darcy is a delight. Strong, loyal and surprisingly down to earth, there are no artificial airs and graces about her. I loved her straightforwardness and her humour and the way she stuck to her guns without coming across as a hard nosed shrew! The chemistry between these two is hot but it’s a slow burn, which allows us to see their friendship and relationship develop. There’s a great cast of supporting characters too, which, together with picturesque descriptions of the English landscape, create a wonderful backdrop to life in the country. If you enjoy losing yourself amongst the pages of a classy, yet steamy, romance, then this is the one for you.
