New York Times Bestseller: An audacious Nazi plan to kidnap Winston Churchill threatens to tip the scales of World War II.In November of 1943, an elite team of Nazi paratroopers descends on British soil with a diabolical goal: to abduct Winston Churchill and cripple the Allied war effort. The mission, ordered by Hitler himself and planned by Heinrich Himmler, is led by ace agent Kurt Steiner and … by ace agent Kurt Steiner and aided on the ground by IRA gunman Liam Devlin.
As the deadly duo executes Hitler’s harrowing plot, only the quiet town of Studley Constable stands in their way. Its residents are the lone souls aware of the impending Nazi plan, and they must become the most unlikely of heroes as the fate of the war hangs in the balance.

I love all Jack Higgins novels!
I found the writing “old fashioned” and tedious at times.
great if you like historical novels, especially WWII
The first Jack Higgins book I ever read (many, many moons ago)! It set the stage of loving his coverage of “war” related issued.
This book has it all for the suspense freak, nasty Nazis, gallant young heroes and Churchill.
Great action packed story.
Read this in 2018 because I remembered there was a popular movie made from the novel. Very contrived, unrealistic plot and action. Don’t waste your time.
It is telling the story of the Nazi nation trying to kidnap Churchill. Very enjoyable.
Hard to put the book down once you get started. Engaging characters and suspenseful plot.
Good reading.
The best of Jack Higgins. Very entertaining. Memorable characters.
This is a book that has been out for years, but I remember that I liked it. This was written at a time when Jack Higgins books were very readable.
Jack Higgins had already written a number of action thrillers before this, but The Eagle Has Landed clearly shows where the years of writing and learning have paid off. This is the book that put Higgins on the map. The writing, the plotting, the characters, everything comes together in this story. If you enjoy Higgins but haven’t gotten to this …
I read it a very long time ago, but it’s now on my Kindle to read again.
This is an old book but, you can never go wrong with Jack Higgins.
Another Higgins “edge-of-your-seat” adventure.
I read this book a very long time ago. Apparently, there’s some bit of actual history that goes with the story. Once again, it’s a great beach read.
Stpry written around WW II facts. Believable.
Read this book decades ago but I remember that it was a great story and wicked good movie based on the book
One of the best books I have ever read. I love it.
