Love this series
Mixed feelings but continuing the series
So here’s the thing, I don’t know how I feel about the series. I still think the dialogue is forced. I am not sure if I like Huntley as a person and Lorenzo is one step away from a certified stalker. And yet I’m going to read the next book. I am enthralled by the plot. I need to know what’s happening next. Is this the best written ya/na book I’ve ever read, not even close. But it is compelling and I read it in two days. Would’ve been one but that day job got in the way again. So, in other words, I recommend you read it but just be prepared for some awkward moments
I had to pick up the first one of the series before I read this one, but I really enjoyed them both.
The Eagle (Spy Girl #2) was a great read by Jillian Dodd. The Priest is the world’s most deadly assassin and has come back from the dead. He has been tasked with a series of very high profile hits. His first hit is a very important world leader and his government is determined to get retaliation. Spy Girl (Huntley Van Allister) is vacationing on the Royal Yacht and is called for her next mission. This one is personal and will bring her face to face with the man who killed her mom. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
Couldn’t put it down. Great read with fabulous character development. Really looking forward to the next one.
I enjoyed this action, spy story, Book 2 in the Spy Girl series. I voluntarily chose to review this story and I’ve given it a 4.5* rating. Again, this had a lot of action, a little romance and less bed hopping. Not for the under 18 readers. It did have a little more depth to the main characters. It answered some questions and made more. I didn’t like that the American President was shot and died. However, it also was a little disturbing that the assassin may or may not be dead and is still out there. The main character is very likeable and she may have a twin brother. Again it reminds me a little of a James Bond movie. I’m still not sure how I feel about all of this.
This is the second book in the series. It will leave you on the edge of your seat. The story is full of suspense and action and will make you laugh and cry and feel what the characters are going through. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
The Eagle is amazing . Love the mystery, action and the storyline. Huntley is badass spy. Can’t Wait for book 3. Jillian Dodds books rock.
This second book in the Spy Girl series finds heroine Huntley Von Allister, a covert agent for a black ops organization, meaning to track her mother’s killer. But the information she’s been given isn’t necessarily the truth, nor can she trust the people who trained her. There’s a bigger conspiracy that she only begins to unravel in this sequel to THE PRINCE. The Eagle is a fun YA fantasy that provides for a pleasant escape.
So much eye rolling and this one was even worse than the first.
