Five full-length Regency romance stories about the Duke of Westbrook’s four daughters. Pushed into marrying to secure their future, each daughter’s path to love and marriage is filled with obstacles, misunderstanding, and sometimes, danger! The fifth book is the prequel to the series and follows the future Duke of Westbrook and future wife, and shows how love is powerful motivator for change.A … motivator for change.
A Rogue for a Lady – The story of Amelia, the eldest daughter, as she navigates her way through the London marriage mart and finds that the man she wants has secrets he is too ashamed to tell. A scheming cousin, blackmail and family responsibilities push Amelia into a spiral of confusion and a sense of betrayal. When all is finally revealed, she must decide what to do with the man who holds her heart – and choose whether love can forget the sins and mistakes of the past.

But George, a military man, catches her eye, and love starts to creep into their hearts. A dastardly betrayal put her life in danger. Can she and George manage to save her and find true love?
Rescued by an Earl – Jacintha is a beautiful woman who prefers to to sit out from the dances and watch other people. She knows she must marry but she still remembers the close friendship she had with her childhood friend, Harry. But Harry is a rake and thus she allows Lord Slate to court her. Can Harry reform in time to save her from a disastrous marriage or worse?
In the Arms of an Earl – The youngest daughter, Harmonia, is sweet and sensible. She thought she would take care of her father as he grew old but he insists she must marry as well! Perhaps she will marry her distant cousin, Luke? When she meets blue-eye Phillip, a newly-instated earl, she falls for him quickly. But is Phillip a gentleman or a rake? What about her father’s wish for her to marry Luke? Harmonia can’t avoid a tricky path to a love-filled future, just like her sisters!
The Reluctant Marquess – Marquess Hugh Seaworth is far too busy enjoying himself in London to think about matrimony. The future duke is quite put out by his father’s request to sponsor the daughter of an old friend, Miss Molly Newton, for a London season and help her find a husband. The more he becomes involved with Miss Newton, the more he discovers that it is not only his mind that is caught up with her – it is his heart. Miss Newton, however, shows no inclination towards him and, when one of her suitors proposes, Hugh finds himself caught between his duty and his heart. Which one will win out in the end?

Can a leopard change his spots? I must say
I don’t believe Amelia deserved the ending she got. She was quite foolish in her assumptions when time after time she had been proved wrong. That said, I did enjoy these characters and the storyline and look forward to seeing the rest of the girls find marriage.
My Restless Earl:
Holy moly what an adventure! I think my heart had to work double time almost this entire book! There be scoundrels about and such a tangled mess of things you wonder if they’ll ever make it out. I thoroughly enjoyed this regency. It was most inspired.
Rescued by an Earl:
Another heart racing adventure. A love triangle going on here. I don’t want to give away spoilers but, oh my, this may be the best book of the series yet! Wonderful characters and such unexpected twists in the storyline!
In the Arms of an Earl:
Wow. Pearson outdid herself on this one! Who knew what this character would become when we met him throughout the series?! An incredible and tense novel. I most thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Reluctant Marquess:
I might have expected this book at the beginning but it doesn’t really have much to do with the others.
I enjoyed these characters. The juxtaposition of innocence against a rogues freedom. It was wonderful to see them both develop and work through their emotions and thoughts.
This 5 box set is one to put on your TBR. Rose Pearson makes each one of these novels stand-alones, but it’s great to see all of them together. They each have their own story that does intertwine. All of the characters are wonderfully written and I love the storylines. 4 of these are centered around The Duke of Westbrook’s four daughters and how they find their HEA. I would highly recommend this box set. I received as an ARC for an honest review and was thankful I was.
Review for “The Reluctant Marquess”:
If you love historical romances, especially Regency romances, this is a wonderful book! Full of everything that makes me continue to read and love Regency: a reluctant playboy who falls hard for a lady; misunderstandings between characters; and all of the great details of the period. Of course there are plenty of the ton, balls galore, and beautiful fashions for us all to enjoy.
Hugh Seaworth is not in the market for a wife, just a good time during the London season. When his father becomes ill, he is tasked to give Miss Marjory Newton her season. The story develops from there and while it is not a surprise at how it ends, it is a greatly entertaining read.
Can a true playboy, selfish and only interested in the fun he can have on a nightly basis, really change his ways? When true love is involved, the answer is a resounding YES! There are plenty of humorous scenes, which is another reason I love this genre.
This book is well-written, fun to read and just what I have come to expect from a Regency romance. If you are looking for a clean, Regency romance with a HEA, look no further! I look forward to reading more by this author!
A beautiful bookset with sweet stories, strong characters and adventures.
These stories are well developed and kept you reading until the end.
I recommend this book set to all that love regency.
A great set of feel good stories which you call in love with. Follow them to see if they Can find the one for them
I received an advanced copy and I enjoyed it so much that I want to review
At the time of my review, I had only read the last book in this series, The Reluctant Marquess, as an ARC in exchange for a review of that one book. This one is a story about the parents of the daughters in the first four books in the series, but it is completely a standalone story you do not need to have read the previous ones for. All of Rose Pearson’s books so far have been standalones, even in a series, so you never have to worry about getting to the end and finding some huge cliffhanger, and they all have happily ever after endings that leave you feeling so good inside. Her books are good for a rainy or gloomy day when you need something to cheer you up, and they’re the types you will want to read again and again. I tend to read the endings over and over a few times because they just catch you up so much and leave you thinking about them for days.
Regarding The Reluctant Marquess, I tore through this book much faster than I expected, but I was quickly drawn into the story and had to find out what would happen between our hero and heroine. Seaworth has grown accustomed to living a carefree life, enjoying all the pleasures possible, before entering into Dukedom once his father passes on. But after a brief illness, his father forces him to a task of taking a deceased friend’s daughter, Molly, back with him to London so that he may help her find her future husband during the Season, much to his chagrin as that will take away from the fun he had planned for himself. I had so much fun with this book. Seaworth’s eyes are opened wide to life thanks to Molly, and seeing the way their relationship developed was such a delight. The book left me with such a warm feeling, which, again, is the way all of Rose Pearson’s books tend to do.
This set is well worth the money, and I have grabbed it up so I can finish reading the series.
The Duke’s Daughters Series Boxset by Rose Pearson. This box set had everything romance, mystery and happy endings, and strong heroines. Delighted by the humor, intrigue and overall interest. Has something for everyone.
My free opinion. Thanks.
I love books on families and how each character approaches relationships in different ways based on their individual dynamics. I have read each book and while each can stand alone it is interesting to see how they all merge. I particularly like that the family’s head also gets a HEA. You can’t go wrong with reading Rose’s books. I anticipate each new one!
