Enjoyed
Very well written book. Takes you into the famous dress design houses during their great era. Loved every bit of the story line.
Very interesting, emotional read. Enjoyed!
Really like this book. Layered narrative, well written.
A compelling tale of fashion and fear in pre-Nazi France.
Reading it at present.
I enjoyed this book, primarily because of my interest in fashion design, art, and 20th century political history. A quick read, this enfolding romance/mystery informed me about the highly competitive fashion design industry in pre-World War II Paris. Although I found it predictable, the plot and character descriptions were nonetheless very entertaining. Unfortunately, the story wrapped up too quickly, with a brief summarization of what could have been equally as well parlayed as some other episodes in the book. I will read on, as subsequent books show promise of more of the same setting and historical perspective.
