They arrested me as a witch. And I’ve one night left to live. At least, I thought I did, until the nobleman turned up.He calls himself Meridas, and he thinks my magic will be of use. Also, he’s a dragon.A sky-cursing handsome dragon person, if I’m being honest here.I don’t like the idea of being used, but it’s not like I have a choice. Not unless I want to survive the next day. It helps that he … want to survive the next day. It helps that he lives in the floating cities, though.
I always wanted to get out of the slums. Maybe not quite in this manner… but a girl’s gotta take every opportunity presented, right?
It does help that he’s everything a girl looks for in a man. Kind. Attentive. Strong and determined to save his sister, and save me. Things I’m definitely not used to.
Things I wouldn’t mind exploring further, if I get the chance…

This story had some good scenes. Unfortunately, not a lot of action. It seems to end in a cliffhanger on different issues. Would like to read more about Alex and Meridas and see more action.
The story was extremely interesting and different. It is a tale that has some mystery and suspense throughout it. There is sweet chemistry between Evelyn and Janus. The book is well written however the ending didn’t feel complete and made me feel like there should be just a bit more. Otherwise it was very good.

I really like this book. We have a life which which is a really a healer, living in the slums beneath the surface and currently in jail being put to death the next morning, and you have the dragon shifter who needs a life witch to save his sister, from the floating cities above.

So the concept of the book is that this world has a really clear division between the haves and the have nots: you either live on magical floating islands in privilege or you live in squalor on the ground. Meridas is a dragon who lives on a floating island. His one problem is that his sister is dying from a disease that attacks magic. He miraculously finds a witch in a jail that can fix it named Alex. Alex realizes that she has just been dragged into a much bigger problem than healing one sick girl when she realizes than an entire island is infected with the magic killing disease. It was a pretty interesting concept. The dialogue could use a little polishing especially since the division of the two groups of people is so prominent in the book. The islanders and the land dwellers have almost no distinction in how they speak, and that seems a little incongruous. Not a bad first book though!
What an amazing beginning to the Six Isles Witches and Dragon series. The Dragon’s Life Witch starts it off with a bang.
Alex is a Life Witch who has been arrested for healing people, all of sudden Meridas, a handsome man who’s a dragon shows up needing her help. Alex is stubborn, beautiful, kind and spunky and Meridas… So hot and sexy and bound to protect those he loves and cares about. The chemistry between the two is hot and sizzling. What a great plot. There’s plenty of action, suspense, humor and of course hot romances. I really enjoyed reading this book and couldn’t put it down. A definite must read! I can’t wait to see what’s next in the series.

This is a fast paced dragon shifter romance that made for some awesome reading. Alex is a girl from the slums with a powerful healing ability that gets her thrown in to jail, only to be rescued by a wealthy nobleman who needs her to heal his sister. This quick read is romantic, and ends in a happy ending.

I loved this story so much! The plot was something completely unique, and the world building was incredible. I can’t wait to read more in the series. Meridas and Alex were great characters, were well written, and had great chemistry even though they were different as night and day. I couldn’t put the book down, and I’m waiting on pins and needles for the next book to come out.

Alex has grit! She maintains her dignity in the most disgusting circumstances and uses humor as her stabilizer. Meridas finds Alex on the sheer determination of hope! He is looking for a rarity, a life witch to heal his sister. He sees to her basic needs in exchange for her healing services. This is a new parnormal paradigm that is totally class based but these characters are change agents. Alex and Meridas are strong likeable characters. They are well developed and their story is fun and exciting. This is an excellent start to a new series and the author has done an excellent job pulling us in and leaving us wanting more. Nice job! Alex is in prison for healing people, accused of being a witch. When a stranger from the floating islands comes to take her away, she doens’t trust her good fortune. But healing the Dragon’s sister may be just the beginning of solving the bigger problem. Alex and Meridas will find surprising answers along the way. They will also find love that will hit hard and fast. A wonderful beginning to a new world being opened up by Ms.Daniels. I really like the interplay between Alex and Meridas, but also Alex and the other people she encounters. Alex is without guile, now in a world filled with it. I am looking forward to this new series! This is the first book in a new series paranormal series. Alex is about to be executed as a witch when Meridas, a shifter dragon comes to her rescue and brings her to his home in the clouds. Alex saves Meridas’ sister and she stays with him as a servant. He wants to discover where she came from as life witches are rare. As the spend time together, sparks begin to fly but will they find out the truth about Alex? This is a fast-paced read with plenty of drama and great world building, I liked the characters and look forward to learning more. A good read.
This seems to be the start of an exciting new series. The world of floating islands and gritty under city reminds me more of a steampunk fantasy than the usual paranormal romance. That’s not saying the story isn’t worth reading , please don’t misunderstand me.The characters are interesting and I look forward to finding out more about the creeping rot problem and the race of people that give half breed Alex her gifts. Hopefully we get to read more about Alex and Meridas in the next book since this book seems to be more about setting the stage for what’s to come.

This is just awesome! A well written, fast paced read this has two of my favourites- dragons and witches! Full of action, adventure, danger, suspense, romance, magic and family this story has it all and is off to a great start in this series!
Love the writing style of the author. Great story. Can’t wait to read more from this author. The story has many twists and turns. The author makes you feel as though you are standing next to the character. Great use of words and descriptions.
This is a very engaging, sexy, emotional and thrilling adventure filled with danger, intrigue, exciting twists and undeniable passion….. this magical shifter world was exciting to read and left me wanting to return for more. Looking forward to the next journey to this amazing world.
This was a great story where we had a life witch named Alex. Although she was from a poor background she was a rare gift of being able to heal. Meridas was also a great character and a dragon shifter. Lots of action and some steam with a great plot. Loved it
This has a different twist on what is a fated mate. The characters are engaging and well developed. The plot has some twist and turns that keep you turning the pages. I look forward to the next book.
