And Nova is exactly the kind of woman that could use a
man’s strong hand to soothe out her rough edges.
Work hard, play harder.
Those are the only words I live by.
But the more I try to break down her barriers,
To own her body and soul…
The more I realize that in the end,

I received a free ARC copy of Island of Love series and am giving a honest review.
Astor Christakos is a man who knows nothing but his job. He lives to work but is talked into a vacation by his friend, Galen Dunne. Astor plans to spend the summer at Galen’s resort island in the Caribbean, Paradise. He is very direct but arrogant in his dealing with others.
Nova Blankenship is hired on to be a hostess on the island. She has grown up in the business and loves to serve. She is a determined woman. She plans to study online so she can advance at the resort.
Astor is paired with Astor as his hostess. She is used to dealing with gruff people. She tries very hard not to take him seriously but she does give him a bit of tough love.
He asks her to be his Sub. Initially she turns him down but ultimately she wants him however she can get him. Their relationship would be just for the summer. The one thing they didn’t plan on was falling in love.
Astor is shown as very frank in his comments, not caring what anyone thinks. Nova changes him. She let’s him see what it is like to live and enjoy life. Their sex life does have some light BDSM but you can feel emotion stirring in both of them – love.
Thinking he doesn’t have room for anything but work he leaves her at the end of the summer the same day she finds out she is pregnant.
The friends Nova has at work along with Astor’s friend and island owner, Galen, all put in their advice to their love affair. It was so tough when Astor left but Nova’s feelings were filled with angst. She was certainly emotional and as a reader, we feel it too.
Don’t let the title dissuade you from reading. This Dom can be very tender and he shows his feelings to Nova, even if he can’t say it. She knows his feelings as she watches his personality change for the better. Michelle Love has written a story to draw in the reader, to see the love of Astor and Nova bloom and give us the desire to see them together. I will admit I was almost holding my breath when the couple see each other the next year.
This is book one in Island of Love series. It does end with a satisfying happily ever after. It also sets up the characters for another book in the series. As Astor’s friend Galen can’t take his eyes of a new maid, Ariel Pendragon.
Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of a story.
ONE SENSATIONAL TREAT
Explosive! Michelle unleashes one thrilling delight, igniting sparks hotter than an erupting volcano, riding on wings of euphoria and wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Heated glances and rising temps, baring the adorable quirks and defying bents, disclosing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking in it’s simplicity and rousing in it’s depth, molding our characters in ways they could never have envisioned. Limitations are amplified and exploited, laying out all the fervent facts, feels and fiascos, spinning the high octane passion with such exuberance and precision, keeping you riveted and frozen to your seat. The magnetism, attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity, exposing deep emotions, drawing our characters closer, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that add diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Remarkable job Michelle, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.
