Such a beautifully written story that portrays the never ending circle of life. I lived every moment of it. I cried, I smiled, and I found a new sense of hope and reassurance that love never dies, it simply changes over and over again.
This story was very heartwarming. It was really heartbreaking to read about how Miley and Ebony passed away. The children were so heartbroken, sad and distraught with grief. Their mother explained that their beloved dogs would return soon, reincarnated into a new body. It reminded me of A Dog’s Purpose – another beautiful story about the dog’s soul returning and reincarnated. It brings so much hope that love endures forever in our immortal souls and that separation is only temporary.
I love the quotes at the end and the lovely photographs of the dogs. It is a true story based on the author’s personal experience which makes it authentic and real. Death and grief are very important topics we need to discuss with our children and loved ones but they are not always easy to talk about. This book does it beautifully with sensitivity and wisdom and will be helpful guide to those who may be going through this difficult period.
It’s a beautiful and profound story that is sure to bring hope and comfort to those who have lost a beloved pet.
A great reincarnation story about pets for all reading ages. This story made me think about my nephew, who has his first beloved dog. Losing something you love is one of the hardest parts about living, but the gift of what love brings to our lives makes it all worth it. Miley, a feisty little Terrier, and Ebony, a black and tan dachshund will steal your heart as you learn about Annie and Stewart’s love for their small pets. Like most loving canines, they get into all kinds of mischief, but the final stroke of bad luck is a misfortune of grief and misery for the entire family. I loved the warmth of the story, the loving characters and the explanation of the gift of life. Because of my own beliefs in reincarnation and the stories I write, I was drawn to, The Dogs Who Came Back From Heaven. I wanted to see what path the author would take in explaining the exit and re-entrance to our lives. Helene Minto does an amazing job of weaving a warm tale full of heart and hope. Don’t miss the collection of quotes at the end of the book. There are many enlightening sources to discover on the subject. Well written and well received, I hope to see more life adventures from this author!
This is the perfect read for pet lovers, young and old. Helene Minto’s story will bring comfort to any child or adult that experiences the loss of their beloved pet. The heartwarming story leaves the reader with a sense of peace and hope that all is not lost when their pet dies. Kudos to the author for addressing an inevitable reality of life.
