A wonderfully quirky, heart-breaking, heart-warming and thought-provoking story of a woman’s dog who not only talks to her, he talks to God. Recently widowed Mary Fassler has no choice except to believe Rufus, the miniature schnauzer, who claims to speak to the Divine. The question is: Will Mary follow the dog’s advice, and leave everything she knows and loves? Is this at the urging of God? … urging of God? Or is it something else? Will Mary risk it all or ignore the urgings of her own heart?

I learned a lot from my golden retriever, Buddy a lot like this main character in this story who was heart broken after the death of her husband and son. About the only time I wasn’t listening to this audiobook was when I was eating, sleeping, talking to family and friends or watching the news on television. If you love dogs, this audiobook is …
This is a sweet story of how a dog comforts his owner who suffers the lost of her husband and son.
I enjoyed seeing how the talking dog would end. It kept me reading.
I throughly enjoyed this book, it had its sad parts but had a wonderful ending!
Great read!!! It is a story of how God at times uses animals in our lives!!!
What an amazing, thought provoking book. You can look at it in so many ways and probably wouldn’t be wrong. I absolutely loved this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. wish all dogs could talk. we would all be better for it.
Jim Kraus’s books are the only ones I reread for the sheer joy of his writing. I recall phrases from his books and smile. His plotting is excellent, his observations on life astute and entertaining. I don’t delete Kraus’s books when I’m finished with them. When I need a smile, I can browse through them again and feel light-hearted. Thank you, Jim …
More about troubled woman than her dog. Enjoyable but I was bored with narrators angst
Could not stop reading this book. Held my interest and was sorry to see it end
I love it!
After reading this book, I submitted a short review for my continuing education credits for Hospice training.
I just loved this book. It was a sweet book and I hated for it to end. I’d like more books like it.
A fun little book.
The author’s clever idea to illustrate how God is relentless in His persuit to make a positive difference in our lives.
Confusing at the beginning and slow to start. Rufus did not talk enough. Not as good as The at That God Sent.
A bit bizarre but ok read….only did it to know what my sister reads!

Author seemed to babble on about nothing. It was good otherwise.
