The third and final instalment of Jake & Dean Investigations—a kick-ass Urban Fantasy tale with plenty of magic, mayhem, and an established MM relationship.
Some characters from Dylan Rivers Chronicles appear in this book (the two series share the same universe)

I’ve loved this series since book 1, so while I’m sad to see Jake and Dean’s series ending, I thought this book was wonderfully satisfying conclusion. These stories are a great mix of action, drama, romance, and snark.
Jake and Dean are fabulous characters, and quite different to each other, although they both have their own demons and not so great pasts. I love their scenes together, whether fighting off bad guys, or just being together. The scenes with their daughter, Lou, are very sweet, especially when they get the time to just be a family.
The supporting cast are a well rounded out mix of good, bad, and shades of grey. I haven’t read any of the Dylan Rivers books and enjoyed his POV chapters. He’s an interesting character, as are the guys with him. The bad guys are totally insane, and I thought that came across very well. I was glad they got what they deserved, and I thought the way the pod problem was resolved was brilliant. I liked how everyone came together to help. The truth about Elijah and Parker was a very clever plot twist.
Whenever I pick up a book by this author I know I’m going to get fantastic, and original, world building. I love the mix of almost our world, yet not. The setting is one of my favourite things about the story – after Jake and Dean of course. The Netherlands setting gives it a different feel, and I like the way the culture and language blends into the plot.
I’ll have to catch up on the author’s series I haven’t read now.
Divine Roses by Richard Amos is the third and final instalment of Jake & Dean Investigations series. This series is an amazing journey through Urban Fantasy, with Kick-@$$ action, edge of the seat suspense, and take your breath away love. This book does not fail to live up to that. Its spectacular. I was glued to these pages and needed to know what was going to happen to these characters and their world. I had that anxious feeling in my gut, and those emotions building in my heart… I was fully engrossed in Jake and Dean’s adventures. There are some surprises, and answers to questions, and a fantastic conclusion. I highly recommend!
I am always upset when a series I like ends, and this series is not an exception. I’ve come to love Dean and Jake, and I’m hoping maybe we’ll see them in other books. If not, that’s OK because this series-ender was an excellent sendoff. We get to meet Jake’s father and an old flame which leads to trouble of all different types. Add in murders, revelations, and steam, and you have a book that is filled with the romance, action, and interesting characters we’ve come to expect. I’ll miss the series, but I know the author will write more series to love. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
No spoilers of any kind included.
The Divine Roses was a really good read.
I always enjoy the stories that Richard Amos creates.
He just has this great talent of weaving a story that you can get completely lost in.
So yes I do recommend The Divine Roses.
