Money can’t buy a good first impression.
Seventeen-year-old Caymen Meyers learned early that the rich are not to be trusted. And after years of studying them from behind the cash register of her mom’s porcelain-doll shop, she has seen nothing to prove otherwise. Enter Xander Spence — he’s tall, handsome, and oozing rich. Despite his charming ways and the fact that he seems to be one of the first … the first people who actually gets her, she’s smart enough to know his interest won’t last. Because if there’s one thing she’s learned from her mother’s warnings, it’s that the rich have a short attention span. But just when Xander’s loyalty and attentiveness are about to convince Caymen that being rich isn’t a character flaw, she finds out that money is a much bigger part of their relationship than she’d ever realized. With so many obstacles standing in their way, can she close the distance between them?

This is probably my favorite of Kasie West’s contemporary romances – it’s so tightly plotted and just very funny and sweet. It’s the perfect choice as the days get longer and warmer!
The Distance Between Us is a lighthearted coming of age story that is filled with sarcasm and humor. Xander and Caymen are adorable together and a great example of not judging someone without getting to know them first. Even though Xander is rich and Caymen is poor, they both are struggling with the same issues of what to do after high school. The …
I absolutely LOVE Kasie West! She is by far my most favorite author. This book was amazing, in my opinion. It is tragic, and everything a good book can be.
I don’t know what it is about kasie west books but I am always drawn into them and I can’t get out until I finish them. I spent the whole day reading this book and I am completely okay with that. If you love to romanticize love I highly suggest Kasie West’s book.
This was a great story of self discovery, first love, and growing up. So many relationship twists and emotions, and a sweet story at the center of it all.
Another great YA book by West. She really knows how to create believable, true to life conflict and resolution in her books. She pulls you in with great characters and keeps you there with there story. She makes it funny and interesting. I loved all the characters in this one and loved how it is connected to her other book in a interesting way. …
I absolutely love this book, iv’e read it like 5 times and it gets better every time! It’s also hilarious!
Really loved it so much
I love Katie West’s sarcastic banter. That is what keeps me coming back to her books. This particular book had some things that bugged me in it and not a very strong romance. Caymen has a problem with running away and putting up walls to a point that it got old. The boy she likes is great. In fact, I felt like he was a little too perfect without …
It was the first book I read by Kasie and now I don’t want to put her books down.
I don’t now why I have never read this book before! I love Kasie West books so much! She’s one of the most AMAZING authors I have ever known and she’s my absolute favorite! This book is highly recommended by me for anyone who loves teenage romance! She get a 11/10 rating for this book!
Overall Rating: 2/5 Stars
I didn’t like this one as much as I liked By Your Side. I just really feel like it’s for the younger young adults. I think all the characters in this book are extremely childish. And the back and forth between Caymen and Xander was extremely annoying.
Caymen runs a doll shop with her mom, which I thought was really …
Cayman’s deadpan humor and the flame between her and Xander makes this Kasie West’s best book in my opinion.
