I read this book series back in 2015 when I found it in 6 separate short books. I enjoyed it so much that when they combined all the books into one collection for my kindle I bought it again to have for my kindle collection. Below is my original review of this book series.
Loved reading this series!! Very well written. Catches you from the beginning and has you wanting to read more just to see how everything is going to turn out. First books I have read by this author and can’t wait to read more!
This saga kept my attention from the first page to the last. It was not predictable, making me want to keep the pages turning. I loved these characters and found myself feeling bad for them at times and rooting for them at others. The Discovery Saga is a great read!
It’s been quite a while since I read this series, but I remember enjoying it. The amnesia part of it reminded me of my book, Amish by Accident. It’s always fun, in my opinion, to read a book involving a character with amnesia, because it makes you think about what you might do if you’re ever in that situation.
An interesting story that is sure to satisfy Amish fiction lovers and one that will keep you turning the pages.
I originally read this series when it was a 6-part “mini-book” set; a gift from my husband one Christmas. I love it! The books are each a story in their own, but they’re a continuation of the one before it and all build upon one another. Now it’s available in a 1-book option, too. Either way you read it, the story is amazing and the threads of God’s grace that are woven into each part of the story are truly heartwarming. Many young married couples have some rocky times when they first start off, and Luke and Meredith are no exception. Their rocky times seem to have moments of brokenness, but the way this story unfolds and concludes makes all the pieces fit back together again. The characters are captivating, the plot is page-turning, and the resolution makes the reader’s heart soar. This series is a wonderful addition to any Christian fiction lover’s bookshelf! It’s also a great set to give as a gift. I highly recommend it!
This story is one that I just couldn’t close the book and put it down. From the beginning to the last page Mrs. Wanda E Brunstetter held my attention with these characters. My husband surprised me with this book and I have to say that is one of my most favorite stories that I have read. I felt sad has I turned the last page of the book. This is the story of a young newly wed couple Meredith and Luke. In the beginning they have many disagreements because Luke lost his job and he felt like he was not being a good husband because he had no work. But after an accident on his way to get a job for his family he is found unconscious and no memory after he awakens. Meanwhile Meredith after hearing of his death has found a New Friendship in a friend from when they were young. Knowing she needed a father for her son and a financial helper; after many incidents that happened and getting to know Jonah more she agrees to marry him. But Luke finally starts to remember his past life and Meredith holds dear the love she has for Luke with the help of a little voice that speaks to her. Is a story that any review in me personally would do no justice. Indeed if you love Amish stories this is the one to get. It will captivate you with detail how Love and Faith in God can bring you through all. And shares with us how the Amish do things. Is a book with it all. But this story is a MUST. I loved it and is now my #1 favorite. With God we can get through anything. Definitely a great addition to your library as a new Amish reader or not. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Mrs Wanda for this great story.
The Discovery Saga Collection contains the six books that were originally released in six separate books. I first read these books, when they were first released in 2103 and I enjoyed the book and characters now as much as I did then. The six books are : Goodbye to Yesterday, The Silence of Winter, The Hope of Spring, The Pieces of Summer, A Revelation in Autumn, and a Vow for Always.
The story centers around a young married Amish couple, Luke and Meredith Stolzus who live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Like all young married couples, Luke and Meredith are struggling with fiances, and the occasional fights.
Luke’s uncle in Middlebury Indiana offers to sell and teach Luke his headstone engraving business. Meredith pleads with Luke not to go on the bus trip, bur Luke goes anyway. While at a bus stop in the Philadelphia area, Luke is mugged and beaten badly by a drug addict, who takes his money and his seat on the bus to Indiana. When the bus is in a horrific accident and everyone on the bus is burned , Meredith believes that Luke has died, and she is left to face carrying her unborn child and the birth of their unborn child without him. Unknown to Meredith, Luke is lying in a hospital and later in rehab recovery from his injuries and with no memory of who he is and where he is from.
As the seasons,, past Meredith goes on with her life, giving birth to their child, and maybe a new relationship with newcomer, Jonah Miller.
Read the Discovery Saga to find out what miracle happen that brings them together again
