One tragic night changed sensible, proper Lady Edith Pelton’s life: when her best friend fell to her death, pushed down a flight of stairs by a nefarious lord. Now, Edith dedicates her time to watching the man she thinks is responsible, while gathering information to expose other scoundrels posing as gentlemen of honor about London. When her spying is noticed by a perfect stranger, Edith finds … finds herself with two mysteries—what happened to her friend, and how to win the heart of this brilliantly handsome lord.

Lady Edith and her two friends are looking for their beloved friends killer. The characters are well written. The book has no violence, sex or language. It flows well. The lady Edith is sitting on a tree branch looking into a gentlemans bedroom. Does she find the killer or something else? I think this is a great book. Enjoy!
Lady Edith and her friends Luci and Ophelia witness their best friend being pushed down the stairs on her wedding night by her groom the Duke of Abercorn. But being young debutantes no one was taking their word against the Dukes. So they set out to prove he is as dastardly as they say.
Edith is watching or should I say spying on Abercorn from a tree across the way when Triston the Viscount Terrington surprises her and she falls out of the tree with her skirts over her head. Triston’s curiosity of why she was in the tree is put off by the beauty he uncovers on the ground.
Now Edith has two problems, how to prove Abercorn killed her friend and how to catch the handsome man who caught her.
When Lady Edith disappears no one knows who is behind the disappearance. It could be Abercorn or something from Triston’s past who ever it is certainly doesn’t have Edith’s well being in mind. The search is on.
I am looking forward to each book in this series. I want to know why Abercorn would kill his new bride and in such a brutal way on their wedding night. Also what the other Debutantes will be able to find out.
