Nathaniel and Chasan are no ordinary angels. Destiny chose them to be twin flames, fated mates. But Nathaniel has avoided Chasan for nearly a thousand years. When sent to Earth on a mission to live and work together, Nathaniel comes face-to-face with his destiny. Short-tempered, petulant, and grumpy, he hates the idea of being fated to anyone and has chosen an existence of isolation rather than … of isolation rather than spending time with the calm, kind, and serene Chasan. But now he has no choice.
One is fire, the other is air; a true dichotomy of angels. Together they will be ignited, or they will be extinguished. This assignment will seal their fate either way.

I enjoyed this PNR romance set in New York City. Told from dual POVs it featured two angels who could be considered absolute opposites at least at first, a mission that was more than it seemed on the surface, love through the ages that survived impossible odds and a whole lot of forgiveness.
I liked Chasan a lot despite his sometimes too gentle nature that allowed Nathaniel to walk all over him, but in their pairing someone had to be compassionate and understanding or it would have never worked between them. Nathaniel was very irritating at first, and I couldn’t help but think that Chasan got the short end of the stick, but once he finally made the leap of faith, he became someone I could admire. It took him a while, but he got there in the end.
I loved the humor and innocent discovery of the new world that awaited two angels as well as all their friends with their useful and sometimes unsolicited advise. There were moments that made me chuckle and plain laugh out loud, then there were those that made me want to cry. I loved the ending – it was bittersweet and a bit romantic. Good story with well written characters that was a joy to read.
Loved this “angelic” romance by N.R. Walker. Very touching and meaningful, but always with that bit of humour that is one of the authors trademarks!
Chasan and Nathaniel are great characters!
The Dichotomy of Angels is everything I want in an angel romance – wonderful worldbuilding, fascinating characters, intense romance, humor, angst, and incredibly steam moments. The plot, at its core, is simple: Chasan and Nathaniel belong together, but they have some emotional baggage they have to unpack to get there. Nathaniel is stubbornly resistant to joining his soul with Chasan, so their boss, St. Peter, sends them on a “mission” to Earth to figure things out. The balance between humor, fluff, and emotional angst, was incredibly well done. Combine this with N.R. Walker’s lovely writing style, the book was a fantastic read.
tears and laughter.
sometimes at the same time – most of the times
I really enjoyed the audio of this book. Nick J Russo did an excellent job with the characters
Audiobook Review
This was such an action packed, interesting, paranormal page turner!
I love an MM romance with heavenly beings, beautiful angels no less.
The chemistry between Chase and Nathan was magnetic and intense.
The writing style was entertaining as well as engaging and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
I loved the concept of Fated Mates and this was very well written.
Nick J. Russo’s audio delivery was absolutely flawless and he portrayed the characters so well.
5 plus stars for this one!
Oh how I loved this book!
That epilogue!
It started ok but I soon got bored. It was repetitive and a chore to finish. Too bad as I love stories about angels and the premise was good.
An angelic read!
One is fire, the other is air; a true dichotomy of angels…
Together they will be ignited, or they will be extinguished…
This assignment will seal their fate either way. ..
The book was phenomenal and funny and just so amazing and wonderful. My heart! My heart at some points couldn’t take the pain and heartache between these two angels. Gosh, I just wanted to scream at certain times.
Sometimes funny – these angels will make you laugh! A story like no other – a vey unique and touching story of love and trials and tribulations.
Full of angels, destiny, twin flames, attraction, laughter and love.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romances.
This book was unexpected but I love, love, love N R Walker’s books!!!!! Don’t need to say anything more about them. If you love m/m romance, look no further.
This was such a good read from N.R. Walker, funny, heartwarming, and a completely new perspective on the business of being an angel (!) – highly recommended.
Boring beyond words…..Practically unreadable
Wow! I’m so in love with this book! Last read of the year and what an amazing way to end 2019.

Is there a more perfect book for me? N R Walker writes amazing books, and this one is not any different. It made me laugh throughout. Although I’m agnostic, I devoured this book. And I love how creative Nathaniel is with his swearing as he’s banned from swearing.
Chasan and Nathaniel are total opposites. Fire and Air. Oh, Nathaniel! He’s my favourite. I love his growth throughout the book, how he opens up to Chasan more and more. He’s jumpy and scared and so afraid of falling in love.
I highly recommend this book. It made me feel a lot of things- I was sad, happy, angry, hurt. Also I have always been fascinated with angels and all kinds of mythology. This book is a must read!
And Zophiel and Raguel are adorable!
Loved this even though I cried way to much( poor Chasan) I loved him immediately. It took me awhile to love Nathaniel, but I did & my heart hurt for him but mostly for Chasan. I was happy things finally came about even though it took forever… Then an “No Way” moment happens & I slap my Ereader down & say no, this can’t happen & it did. EEK… It was a great read & I enjoyed it even though ugly cries happened. A Must Read!
I loved everything about this book. The depth and dimension given to these characters is outstanding. No one, even angels, is all good or all bad. N.R. Walker shows us such vulnerability with Nathanial and Chasan. How they grow and learn and love is amazing.
The Dichotomy of Angels is a must read. You won’t be sorry!
NR Walker couldn’t write a bad book if she tried and I loved this fated angels story.
