I loved this story. I felt the characters were well developed and the plot was unusual. It was not a predictable story. The pace was just right and the Gothic elements were spot on. I recommend highly
The Red Knight has a secret! Should have seen it coming but didn’t put the clues together until after the reveal. Really enjoyed the heroine’s personality and book had a most satisfactory conclusion.
This whole series is wondethem even thoughrful. I had to read every one. and go back sometimes to often to back to reread them.
I read this book over a weekend getaway with my husband. I’m an early riser and let’s just say that my husband is not. But I didn’t mind. I had this lovely gem of a story to keep me occupied.
I love medieval romance, but I consider myself very finicky and I find that I have a hair-trigger DNF threshold for this type of story. Luckily, I managed to hold out until after the second chapter. The heroine (at first) seemed like a typical spoiled/head-strong brat. I couldn’t have been more wrong. She’s a force to be reckoned with, but she also carries a well of strength and dignity that I found myself deeply admiring more and more until the very end when I was completely sold out for Miss Aisely. As for the hero, I typically don’t care for men with hot tempers, but this guy won me over.
Overall, I can’t recommend this story highly enough. Just be warned, the first couple of chapters don’t seem like anything special. You’ve got to give this one time to get going.
Definitely a good read that takes a couple twists. Neither predictable nor usual.
Wonderful example of the genre. Enjoyed all the twists and turns of the plot. Great relaxing read.
Loved it and will read it again
A good read. An, I’ve got to finish it tonight!, book. Best medieval historical I’ve read in a long time.
Loved it.
Loved this story. It was fast moving and I loved the story.
This book was well written and was a page turner to the very end. Every twist and turn made is a unique historical romance that I would read over again.
Loved it! Loved the characters, the heroine is smart and loving. The hero is a compassionate, loving person too. They help each other, learn to love each other. Just a great story about injuries, secrets and overcoming problems. Very good, well written story!
Great story. Loved it!
Typical romance entertaining enough to finish
Competently written formula romance. Not my cup of tea.
A bit ordinary and predictable.
This was a well paced and well written work. I did have to suspend credulity a bit, but overall, the book satisfied.
I liked the unexpected twists in this book.
So fun, intriguing and loved the characters!
Loved the story and the buildup of the characters. Very romantic. Only complaint would be that I wasn’t sure in which medieval time frame it was set (reference to King Edward forcing the heroine to pick who she would wed but it wasn’t stated which King Edward). Otherwise a good read and it was HEA.
