As a female, some of this was hard to read but the thought processes of the characters and the choices they made were believable and gritty. I would recommend.
This is a great exciting story. The characters are larger than life. This is page turning action at its best. I love to read and pirates were a nice change of scenery.
Will not read another one in this series for certain. Obscene book.
Pretty much a standard pirate romance with a slightly feminist twist at the end.
Not much plot
I gave it a 3, and that’s being generous. Can you spell ‘trite’ or ‘hackneyed’? In the heyday of piracy, a wealthy English lady with flaming red hair is captured by baddies … Author’s grasp of English prose and “big” words is tenuous. I should have kept a list of the mouth-filling words used inappropriately. Sheesh.
And yet, I may read the …
It showed the brutal life of pirates. They disregard the rights of any person, however the Captain seemed to have more tolerance for a certain level of persons
But they are all totally self centered
The writer made it gripping n real
Like the book series. Great plot. Didn’t like the language!!
NOT a romantic or romance story. It was a good story but definitely more violently graphic than anticipated. Towards the end of the book, the pace and anticipation increased dramatically. I never could anticipate where the story was going…which was good and made for an exciting tale.
I hated the book and felt like I needed a mind bath after reading it. It was violent and sick and sad.
The compete series is must read.
Actually stopped reading this book, not worth my time. Plot line is weak and writing kid redundant.
It was good enough to purchase the next one in the series…
Not my type of book.
I enjoy books that have a “believable” plot involving historical events/people. This was July first time to try this author. I found the plot credible and easy to follow.
I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys mysteries of this type.
The author was very graphic in the description of the unfortunate people and pirates that died. The ending was unexpected.
Some gruesome, bloody scenes. Good story. Didn’t like the ending.
Great book . Great read. I’m on the second installment
Not my usual choice of books but was looking for something different. It was just OK…the ending left you hanging. I didn’t realize it was part of a series. I’m not going to read any more of the series.
Loved it. I couldn’t put it down. Bought all four in the series. No more life outside book. Lol too engrossed!
