Newly minted doctor Jane McGill is in hell.
Not literally, of course. But between her drug addict patients, sleepless nights on call, and battling wits with the sadistic yet charming Sexy Surgeon, Jane can’t imagine an afterlife much worse than her first month of medical internship at County Hospital.
And then there’s the devil herself: Jane’s senior resident Dr. Alyssa Morgan. When Alyssa … Morgan. When Alyssa becomes absolutely hell-bent on making her new interns pay tenfold for the deadly sin of incompetence, Jane starts to worry that she may not make it through the year with her soul or her sanity still intact.

Cute story!
We’ll develop characters. Enjoyable storyline. If you like medical theme books you will enjoy this. This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them both.
VERY PREDICTABLE ENDING. KEPT WAITING FOR IT TO GET BETTER & THEN IT JUST SUDDENLY ENDS. STRANGE READ BUT SOME PARTS WERE FUNNY.
It was okay. Just a book.
Funny, funny and more funny!!
I enjoyed. Easy reading but entertaining.
A great read that is reminscent of a popular hospital show but much better. Less drama more quirky fun.
Brought back memories. For whatever reason, physicians, nurses, tend to “ear their young”.
Good main characters, real people trying to make good lives
I laughed out loud many times…loved this book
Cute fun beach book.
The characters are unrelatable stereotypes. The opening chapter features a very-obese patient whom the author/narrator treats almost viciously. I couldn’t get into it because of these things. It seemed almost anti-feminist, in spite of having three female lead characters who are doctors.
This book was pretty good. A light, fun read with believable characters. I only wish the ending would have been more developed. It felt a bit rushed right at the end. I would gladly read more from this author.
A great read, can’t wait for the sequel!
This was absolutely hysterically funny, and reminded me of stories my grandmother used to tell about working in hospitals (though she was an RN), and the hierarchy, the way doctors treated residents, etc.
The romance felt bittersweet- and by the end, I really wasn’t sure if Sexy Surgeon was the man for the HEA. I guess I just feel like he’s too much of a man-whore to ever change his ways, though by the end I understand his perspective. Hence, again, the questionable HEA. And I need my romances to have a definitive HEA- that’s why I read romances!!
Overall, though, this is a great read, if you go into it without expectations of it being a romance novel. Hence my 4-stars. I thought it was a romance novel.
Loved this book! Fun, easy read! Recomended it to my daughter, and she loved it too!
I really enjoyed this book. As a health care professional, I loved the in depth description of hospital cases and trials of being a medical intern.
The book was good but I didn’t agree with how the nurses were portrayed. I work in a busy ER and i truly hope that’s not what doctors think of us. Another thing is the portrayal of Latino patients… I know is hard to believe but some of us Latinos do speak English and even work in healthcare, who would have thought it possible
Dull
Interesting hospital romance. Made me want to read the sequel.
