⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I read the first three books of this series and I loved each one. I had mixed feelings about purchasing this book because I wasn’t sure I could like the Hero. I fell in love with Beau. I loved Milly and together the two made an amazing couple. There were times I worried if they’d ever get it right. I loved this book. It’s a must read and a new favorite.~ Amazon customer review
Miss Sparrow’s lively letters help Beau through his banishment and when his father dies suddenly and Beau inherits the Dukedom, he seeks out his little bird. To his shock he finds a woman in despair and, moved by pity, he offers her the protection of his name by marriage.
But Milly becomes impossible to overlook, and the more Beau needs his wife, the less interested she seems in her gorgeous husband.
For this rake, getting a woman’s attention has never been so complicated.
Warning: This book is liable to contain mild swearing and descriptive sex scenes!
The Rogues & Gentlemen series can be enjoyed as stand-alone regency romance and historical romance novels, or as part of the wider series. If the full series appeals, the suggested – but by no means essential – reading order would be:
•Book 1: The Rogue
•Book 2: The Earl’s Temptation
•Book 3: Scandal’s Daughter
•Book 4: The Devil May Care
•Book 5: Nearly Ruining Mr Russell
•Book 6: One Wicked Winter
•Book 7: To Tame a Savage Heart
•Book 8: Persuading Patience
•Book 9: The Last Man in London
•Book 10: Flaming June
•Book 11: Charity and The Devil
•Book 12: A Slight Indiscretion
•Book 13: The Corinthian Duke
•Book 14: The Blackest of Hearts
•Book 15: Duke and Duplicity
•Book 16: The Scent of Scandal
Happy reading! And please do leave a review if you can – it would mean the world to hear what you enjoyed most about the book.

It was an interesting story with great characters.
I read this soon after Scandal’s Daughter, and I enjoyed this story even more. It’s a predictable tale of reformed rake making the best husband. I so liked little bird, Millie Sparrow – her spirit and quick mind and the rabbit holes she falls down due to a lack of confidence. Beau is splendidly portrayed, warts and all, and there is justice for the two villainous bad guys. I did weep once at the sense of lost love when it was just found.
P.S. (Note to Author) – Emma, you need a better proofreader. I volunteer.
Emma has a way of bringing the characters of her books right into your life as though you are with them. The feelings that run within this setting will have you leaning all kinds of ways. I highly recommend this Series.
Have you ever noticed that the most handsome man is always the most messed up in the head? The Marquis of Beaumont is in disgrace in France when he learns of his father’s death making him the Duke of Ware. He has been writing to the only person left to speak to him, a mousy little woman, Miss Millicent Sparrow. To find out why he is in France, you’ll have to read “Scandal’s Daughter”. Millicent is a woman who was abused by her uncle. Beau rescues her when he returns to England and marries her. The problem throughout this whole story is these two are never on the same page. It’s not until Millicent gains her freedom through Beau that she learns her own strength and character. Beau learns that one woman like Millicent is worth being faithful and it’s possible to be a good man.
The two of them are so charming together. What a great romantic story. The ending was a bit different and put a twist to the story. But overall a great book.
His Little Bird.
Milly & Beau’s Story was Good, but could have been better.
To many words from today were used in the Story.
I was truly disappointing in the ending, or lack of an ending.
I felt a little cheated. I have read several of Emma’s books that were Good, unfortunately this didn’t hit the mark.
Happy ever after wasn’t guaranteed.
It was a good story lost in tooooo much sex.
I liked this book very much. Great character development and interaction. Read this series in order as the players weave in and out of the books.
I like period stories. I find Emma Leech books a good read. Usually finish her books in a couple of days. Good character development and well written. Not cheesy.
The heroine has a beautiful loyal spirit.
I enjoyed this book. I recommend it.
One may wonder how many convolutions of the wealthy, titled gentlemen discovering spunky, disadvantaged maidens can be imagined. You find yourself pleading “Please communicate honestly!”, wincing at at silly pride, and wondering what new twist can be invented to confuse the issue. I must say, I would have preferred a PG rating rather than the X approach to sex.
These were two characters to root for
Boring
I loved it, an intertaining read.
I love this author and series. While it does have a fairly predictable story line as a romantic novel, the characters are still fun to read about.
A pretty good read
read it before
Enjoyed the characters in this book though I wish they had developed better communications early in the story. But then again if they had there wouldn’t have been a long story.
