When Alex moved to the big city, she was expecting a lot of things that she couldn’t find in the country: big lights, concerts, maybe a little dancing, a few cute boys, and her best friend Holly. What she got was something much bigger, as she meets an alluring and mysterious stranger at a bar who pulls her into a world much bigger than even New York City. She is now stuck in a fight for the fate … the fate of the universe and she could be the deciding factor.
He is The Demon Maker, a pivotal soldier in this ancient war, a man with a constantly changing face who might be good and might be evil.
A Demon Maker. A country girl. An ancient battle between good and evil.

I have no idea where to start. A young woman, Alexandra, is moving to the city to live with her friend. If I am not mistaken the city is New York but it is never really spelled out for you.
Her friend takes her to a dive bar where she runs into the demon maker. Kinda self explanatory. He makes demons.
So, yes there is a battle between good and evil but truly good and evil, the line between is a gray area. Plus Christianity isn’t necessarily the end all be all of everything. Alexandria is a pawn both sides need and want.
The writing is not necessarily engaging. You don’t really relate, empathize, or sympathize with the characters. In truth there is so much back and forth of behavior you feel the characters are bipolar. And details? There is like no world building. Alex gets to city meets demon maker he starts trying to convert her story ends on cliffhanger.
No world building or character development. Story moves so fast and bounces around it makes your head hurt. The interaction between Alex and Dezze though is funny and probably the best part of the book. BUT…Dezze defects and his allegiance goes from demon maker to Alex and it needs to be explained better than, there is just something about her.
The odd thing…I kinda want to know what happens. Is it my sense of curiosity due to cliffhangers or IS THERE SOMETHING ABOUT HER?
This reader is hyena-happy because two separate minds with similar writing styles came to together to write one captivating and page-turning tale of horror and suspense. It is so good, cannot wait for the next installment.
Alex just moved to the city to be with her BFF. They go out one night only to have something very strange occur. Alex dies…but manages to come back. She meets a strange man in her dreams! The Demon Maker does just that…makes demons from humans. He fulfills their sexual fantasies and then changes them. It is a war between heaven and hell! He is trying to tip the scales in the favor of hell! Alex is a prophet and her friend is someone who can see demons. Heaven, hell and others want Alex and her powers! She befriends a male that instantly becomes her BFF! He devotes himself to her because she broke his bonds to the demon master! Now, as she comes into her power, there are those who set out to seduce her to their whims and get her to choose their sides in the war! But, there are others who will protect her instead…what will happen? Will she choose either side or herself? What kind of powers will she possess? Will the ancient prophecy be fulfilled…and at what cost? This is a new series beginner that gives us a preview of the main characters! I, for one am excited to embark into a new series with a unique storyline thus far! I love the snark in this book! This book ends in a cliffhanger…and I cannot wait until the next book comes out! I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
