On my eighteenth birthday my father, the senator, gives me the gift he thinks every little girl dreams of. The man of my dreams, and the wedding to match. Stefan Zoric is heir to an elite worldwide modeling agency. Practically a prince. My arrangement is simple, as far as sham marriages go. I give him my virginity, behave as the perfect wife and he’ll pay for the college degree my father found … wife and he’ll pay for the college degree my father found irrelevant.
But I don’t want to be the perfect wife.
I want him to want me the way I want him.
I want him to confide in me.
But Stefan has secrets that he holds close, dangerous secrets.
And soon I’m wondering what kind of devil have I made a deal with?
Book One in the Arranged Series.
more
It’s her eighteenth birthday and she’s hoping the surprise her dad got her is the acceptance to go to college. However, she didn’t get the birthday present she was wishing for, instead she was gifted the deal of an arranged marriage.
Stefan works for his father at KZ Modeling. His father needs this deal with the congressman. Stefan wants control of KZM so he’s willing to take on a bride to make that happen.
Tori has been groomed as the congressman’s daughter for years. She’s willing to accept the deal since Stefan promised she can study linguistics. This way she can focus on school and he can focus on work. He never expected his little kitty cat to become thirsty for his attention. While he pushed aside distractions of intimacy he couldn’t control the urges or temptations of his virginal wife.
Usually in these types of situations the bride to be isn’t too happy with whom her father arranged for her to marry. In this case she already had her eyes on Stefan. She’s surprised by her husbands ability to ignore every attempt she’s made to seduce him. That’s what makes this concept unique. It’s rare to find storylines where both characters are actually attracted to each other.
They play games of push n’ pull with each other until Tori finds the solution to her problem. Meanwhile Tori is a smart and intelligent young woman who uses her words to get what she desires. Men like Stefan don’t stand a chance against strong willed woman like Tori. This isn’t the type of arranged marriage they were anxious to get through.
Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York are a romantic duo who are on the top of my favorite narrator list. When I see either of there names listed as audio performers it’s always a sure bet I’m going to enjoy the audiobook. I listened using the audible app. This is an unabridged version. I followed along with my ebook.
When I discovered that Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York were both narrators in The Deal I knew I had to revisit this book. I also had just finished listening to The Sham because the same two narrators performed that series as well. I realized after listening to The Sham and The Deal that these books about arranged marriages follow a formulaic pattern between the two brothers. I found that with narrators I tend to identify the voice with the character so imagine my surprise when both narrators are invited back to perform new characters for the same series. While the trilogy falls within different names it’s essentially the same family. Having listened to The Sham before The Deal I already identified Sebastian’s voice with Luka’s and Elena’s with Brooklyn’s. That was an unexpected disappointment.
Can’t wait for next book
Bought the other two in the series
Enjoyed this read
2.5 Maybe
Not well executed. Not a bad story line but not in today’s time.
I do not know any 18y/o who would go along with the arranged marriage in America today.
Heroine was supposed to be poised and sophisticated but She wasn’t always written that way. Inconsistent. She is definitely immature, but the story is also immature.
I’m a little interested to see if she matures with time but not sure if I want to put more time or money into the series.
Couldn’t put it down
Great book with steamy scenes and a good plot line
Read this one, then bought the 2nd one and was disappointed that it didn’t end and the next book cost so much more (of course). Didn’t buy it.
Interesting story wanted to read the other books in the series but they were out of my price range
This is not a complete book! It leaves you hanging and then they expect you to buy another book and it’s expensive. I hate books like this!
A story with so many twists and underlying actions that it keeps you intrigued. Just started the third and last book of the series. It always keeps me thinking.
Wish I could read more free.
This book along with the 2nd was good. However, it’s slow to get anywhere. Talks a lot about feelings… and feelings… and more feelings, but the hot sex makes up for it. With that said, couldn’t justify purchasing the 3rd book although it may be the best since it wraps up on a cliffhanger.
The story was interesting, as far as it went. Once again, I chose a book that doesn’t end until you buy 2 or 3 more!! Don’t like that.
It kept me interested in what would happen next. I really enjoyed it.
Great but I hate to read a book for free then continue to buy the next 2. Not a fan of these cliffhanger sagas
I did not like this book! It should come with trigger warnings!!!
Great story but ends with a cliffhanger. Must purchase the next book to find out what happens next.
BEWARE – THIS IS BOOK 1 IN A TRILOGY & leaves you on a cliffhanger
I have to say despite the leading lady having very little spine & annoying at times, the book was enjoyable I couldnt put it down, however it does leave you on a cliffhanger (I get annoyed when I’m not told this before I start reading) and whilst this book I was lucky enough to get for free, the follow up books are way out of my budget for Kindle Books
Great read but a cliff hanger
