Murder with a French flair!
When Daisy McDare was hired to redecorate the Filet restaurant she had no idea the job was going to be a recipe for murder. There was no shortage of suspects, in fact, it seemed like almost everyone wanted Adam Dunning dead.
The suspects were coming so hot and heavy it made my head spin. Detective Crumple’s new attitude was a surprising twist. I really enjoy the Daisy McDare mystery series. This was a fun cozy read.
This is the second book in this series I have read–out of order as usual. But don’t worry this can really be read as a stand alone,
Although Daisy is an interior decorator she seems to be a really good detective as well! Even the police chief asks for her help in solving the current murder. Actually it was her client who was murdered-oh well-there went that money down the drain!
This client was a really miserable human being with a lot of enemies! It was difficult for Daisy to figure it all out–but she does! Of course she eats lots and lots of donuts and ends up asking her boyfriend for a bit of help—-
This book will have you laughing that is for sure–in between trying to figure out what Daisy will do next!
The Deadly Restaurant Affair
Daisy McDare Cozy Creek Mystery Series, Book 6
By: K.M. Morgan
Narrated by: Donna G. Soto
Cozy Creek is a quiet town, except when it’s not! Daisy McDare is the interior decorator there and is taking on a project at the local French restaurant. She is excited for the job, but the owner, Adam, is quite arrogant. When he shows up stabbed in the back, Daisy makes it her mission to find out who had a reason to kill him and actually committed the crime. I love these shorts. They are easy to read, have such fun, quirky characters and leave me satisfied. Just enough to make me think, and help solve the case. Donna G Soto brings it all alive with her continued narration of the series.

4 Star review Daisy McDare and The Deadly Restaurant Affair (Daisy McDare #6) by KM Morgan
Audio Review:
I really enjoyed this one and was pleased that the narration was better than previous books.
Daisy McDare finds herself up to her neck in ,under when the owner of the French restaurant she is latest decorating urns up dead.
Daisy finds there are lots of people who would want Adam Dunning dead, the question is can she solve the mystery before she puts herself in danger ?
Daisy’s love of cupcakes, determination and a boyfriend who keeps her feet on the ground all add to the story.
Another good one in the Daisy McDare series. Daisy had a strong sense of loyalty to friends, quick to investigate, and catches the culprit every time. Her relationship with her boyfriend keeps her a little grounded. The clues to the suspect were there to follow if one pays attention. The narration by Donna G Soto, as with the others in this series, was wonderful. The voices are different enough to know when characters change, and she adds excitement, regret, love when appropriate.
I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
cozy-mystery, small-town, private-investigators, amateur-sleuth, law-enforcement, murder-investigation
I really appreciate the way the motivation of all the suspects is made clear while making the identity of the murder victim crystal clear! Along with that there is the subtle background info on the other important characters that makes it easy to hop right in whether you’ve read others in the series recently or not. Add in a good and twisty plot in a book length that is conducive to multi tasking and that makes it a real winner.
Especially if you have the audio narrated by Donna G Soto who nails it!
Daisy McDare and the Deadly Restaurant Affair (Daisy McDare #5), my sixth read/listen from author K.M. Morgan, although I own sixteen of her books I’d never gotten around to reading one until I read The Deadly Floral Affair. Each book has been better than the one before, a well-written clean cozy mystery. Since I own both the Kindle & Audible editions I was able to read along while listening. Narrator Caroline Shively talented narration added to the book’s enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
