Destiny. Now, living with the harsh consequences of their choices, is there hope to mend what fall has left broken?Find out as the story continues.
I love how the whole storyline has been portrayed. The story makes sure you stay on the edge of your seat. Such a gripping, nail-biting read that will leave you wanting to turn those pages till you have devoured the entire book. It will definitely leave you wanting to one click all of this authors books. I’m going to be keeping my eye on this one for sure. I hope you all love the book as much as I did. Good read
“I never thought I’d love the dead of winter, until this girl brought me back to life, right in the middle of it.”
The Dead of Winter is the second book in the Seasons of Jefferson Series by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice. I would NOT read this book before you devour the first book in the series, When Fall Breaks. You will be lost as it ends in a drastic cliff hanger, literally, that will pick up right away in this installment.
Centered around a group of teenagers that are close, Kaitlyn, Caden, Brody, Mason, Jenna, Peyton, and Marissa. They find themselves in the middle of a fight to survive one of the worst situations that one can find themselves in. It is so hard to write a review on this novel without feeling like I am giving away a major part of the story. I can promise that you will be engrossed in the journey that these teens are facing.
The book does touch on some very important and impacting life situations that often plague the teen world. We see underage drinking, stalking, PTSD, and all the consequences that accompany each one of these things. Each thing is tackled with an elegance and captivating story line that is sure to entertain and make you think as well.
I found myself reading well into the night with this one because I could not put it down until I knew where this journey would go and how it would finish in this book. There isn’t as big of a cliffhanger in this book. Rather more of a hook to read on and see where the teens will go from here. I look forward to reading the next installment in this series, and can’t wait to devour it. I have a feeling this will be a series that sticks out as one of my favorite captivating reads of the year that I have read!
As soon as I finished When Fall Breaks I immediately dove right into The Dead of Winter because I couldn’t wait a second longer to see what happened next, especially after that cliffhanger ending. The characters are now trying to deal with their consequences from the first book along with a ton of new twists and turns thrown in for good measure.
Julie Solano and Tracy Justice once again take readers on an amazing journey with the second book in the Seasons of Jefferson series. Once again I enjoyed the storyline and character development from beginning to end. The authors did an awesome job making me crave the conclusion to this series! I couldn’t wait to get started on Secrets of Spring and luckily I didn’t have to! One good thing about not discovering a series until it’s complete is the fact that you don’t have to wait to binge read them and oh boy did I do just that!
The Dead of Winter (Seasons of Jefferson Book 2) Julie Solano and Tracy Justice continues where When Fall Breaks. I highly suggest you read book 1 because there are references made from the first story. This book is about a group of teenagers that we got to meet in the first story. One of the many things I like about these authors is the fact that they have built and are continuing to build with this installment. The authors have hit home with several situations that are plaguing our teens and do it in a way that is real and it could happen to you or your friends. I would consider to leave enough time to read through the book to the next cliffhanger that will lead into book 3.
This is the second novel of the seasons of Jefferson series and i highly recommend reading the first book of the series so you can get a better understanding. Wowzer this story kept me on my toes and my eyes glued to the pages it was beautifully written you could really visualise everything. Once again it has many twists and turns enough to keep you captivated right til the very end and left wanting more once again! The story cover some tough issues but are done in a incredible way i really couldn’t get enough of this novel and don’t worry it doesn’t end on a huge cliffhamger just like last time haha this is why you need to read book one so much happens and you will get a better understanding.
The Dead of Winter (Seasons of Jefferson: Book 2 by JT Authors was just everything. I would highly recommend reading the first book in the series. This book is written from Caden’s point of view. He’s still recovering from the horrific accident and trying to figure out what’s wrong with his girlfriend Peyton. Plus, whoever caused the accident is still out there.
The characters in this book have such a great bond and are so realistic it could be any group of teenagers I know. I read through this book so fast because it is just that good. Their friendships are still the same but have evolved some. I love how they all are trying to move on with their lives while keeping up their guard against the evil that is still out there. I laughed, cried, and was a tad angry at times, so if a book gives you all the feels then it is a must read.
In this book Caden discovers that he has a fear that he’s never had before. How will he be able to get over it? Will his life ever be the same again? As usual his friends rally around him and the authors throw in some surprising characters to add another element to the story. I must read the next book in this series and you must read the series
5 Star
The Dead Of Winter( Seasons of Jefferson Book 2 )by JT Suthors,Julie Solano, and Tracy Justice. This is the second Book in the Season’s of Jefferson Series. I recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already as this book picks up after rhe cliffhanger in the first book.Thia story and the characters took me on a emotional rollercoaster ride with a few twists and turns. My emotions were all over the place. This has just become my favorite from these author’s and I’ve read other books by them.Grab some Kleenex and get ready to be wowed by how great this story is. I highly recommend reading this Book especially if you want to know what happens. I can’t wait to read more.
This is going to be a very vague review so I don’t give anything away.
Please read WHEN FALL BREAKS first. Seriously, it’s super important that you read in order. THE DEAD OF WINTER picks up right where W.F.B ends. This book took me on a journey that I was not expecting. It grabbed me from the first sentence to the very last. The authors bring to light PTSD which is not often talked about unless it’s in regards to the military. I think they handled it with amazing grace, not sugar coating it.
I absolutely recommend this series.
The Dead of Winter was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning of the book, the prologue was great and helped me catch up to speed on where book one ended. We continue from the end of book one with Kaitlyn, Caden, Jenna and Brody’s story. This book is told in Caden’s POV this time and I enjoyed getting his reaction and feelings as he learned about some of the things his sister went through with Pistol.
My head was spinning the whole time trying to figure out what was going to happen next. And I couldn’t help but think about where Pistol was? There is so much that goes on and I don’t want to spoil it for the reader.
All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. All of the situations that these teens encounter really opens your eyes to what today’s teens could be facing as well. I really enjoy reading these authors, they do a great job of pulling you in with their writing, you feel so connected with the characters. Each book so far has dealt with some serious topics and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. You can read as a stand alone, however I feel you would connect better with the story and characters if you start with book one.
The Dead of Winter by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice is book two of the Seasons of Jefferson series. Though this story is told from Caden’s point of view, you should absolutely read book one before reading this book otherwise you miss important parts of the story.
Caden tries to come to terms with everything that has happened to him, his sister and his closest friends. There’s so much on his plate, he’s not sure he’ll ever be able to deal with it all. In the midst of the chaos that is Caden’s life, he meets Avery. He is so drawn to her but there’s something about Avery that Caden doesn’t know and he might just screw up his chance with her.
Will Caden be able to put the recent past behind him and allow himself to get to know Avery or will the secrets that are revealed get between them?
I loved this book as much as I loved the first book. I enjoyed learning some of the details as the story progressed but I liked that we as readers are able to do that and read from the point of view of another character as well. I like when I’m able to learn more about different characters without losing parts of the story and this series is a perfect example of that so far! This book is so emotionally charged, I had to take a break before reading anything else. There’s enough thrill and mystery to keep you on the edge of your seat with just the right amou t of romance as well. Everyone should read this series!!

What can I say about this book and its amazingness that I didn’t already say about book 1?!
In this book we follow Caden and his life after the events of book 1. I fell in love with Caden and his hardships he faced broke my heart.
We all need someone to speak for us at one point in our lives and im so glad he has Jenna and his sister to do that for him.
Then we meet Avery, amd what a spitfire she was. And man what a plot twist that was when learning about her.
I CANNOT wait to get my hands on the next book as I have a feeling it will be a wild wild ride!
The Dead of Winter (Seasons of Jefferson: Book 2) by JT Authors is a gripping drama that leads directly from the first book into this one. If you haven’t read book one in this series I highly suggest you do before reading this one. The characters were written so convincingly that they honestly felt alive and you completely feel every emotion written into the story as if you are living through it all. The plot was tight and filled with twists and turns that kept me reading long into the night. This series is a wonderful take on real life situations people all over the world have to deal with. I highly recommend this book and the others to everyone. I can’t wait to read the third book in this emotional series and I am definitely giving this one a five star rating.
The Dead of Winter by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice (written under JT Authors) is the second book in their Seasons of Jefferson Series, and WOW! JUST WOW! I could not get enough of this story. Picking up right where book one left off, this one is written from three different perspectives, and this just pulled me right into the story. I couldn’t read this one fast enough. Dealing with real world issues like PTSD, heartbreak, love and revenge, this book gives all readers something different. I feel if two different people read this book they would each take something different away from this story. Watching the story unravel for each of the characters was like watching it happen right in front of myself. I couldn’t look away and wanted to be a part of the story. It’s hard to write a review for this book without giving any of the story line away. Just suffice it to say that this is one that you need to read, it won’t be a bad choice for anyone!! Solano and Justice are newer to me authors and I am so happy that I found them for their individual works as well as their collaborative efforts in this series. I cannot give this book and series enough praise. I do caution though that this series is one that needs to be read in order to get the full effect of how amazing this series is. From the characters to the background story were so well written that I got sucked in from the first page of book one and couldn’t wait for this one to be released so I could get the next dose. If you are looking for an amazing series that will gut you from beginning to end than this is the series for you!
The Dead Of Winter by JT Authors is the second book in the Seasons of Jefferson series. This series really needs to be read in order as it follows the same characters and follows on from where the previous story ends.
The group of friends are all still trying to recover from the events in the first book and the cliffhanger that left us all completely aghast. This book follows their journey through the recovery, trying to find themselves and find a way to move past all that has happened.
This book is such an emotional book. Like in the first one you could almost feel the emotions of each character just pouring off the page. The writing was as well done as the first – if I didn’t know it to be true then I would never have guessed this to be two different authors. This is a great addition to the series and I cannot wait for the rest.
The Dead of Winter is book two in The Seasons of Jefferson by JT Authors. In this story, the dramatic and twisting story continues for the group of young adults. An energetic and suspenseful continuation of this very eventful series.
A riveting and suspenseful story that was hard to put down. There was never a drop in tension or intrigue, and many times I was stunned at the clever way this story was delivered. It captivated me and I could not look away from the pages. The characters were a constant marvel and the story a never ending mystery. Cloaked in shadows, The Dead of Winter will draw readers in like moths to flame. 4 stars

‘The Dead of Winter’ is the second book in the Seasons of Jefferson Series by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice. This book continues on from the events in ‘When Fall Breaks’ (Book #1) and really needs to be read after the first book to really get all the relevant details, character information and an understanding of the storyline, so you can have the best possible reading experience of this book. The story has drama, heartache, intrigue, difficult circumstances, tested relationship/s, and more. I enjoyed the first book and dived right into this one as soon as I had finished it. I had some expectations for this story and I am pleased to say that this book is every bit as good as the first.
This story takes a look at true to life characters dealing with real issues and situations- which makes the story realistic, believable and entirely relatable. This is definitely not a fluffy, hearts and flowers read- this story is raw and intense in parts. These characters were all really well developed and interesting. There was edge of my seat moments, emotional scenes, highs and lows, twists and surprising developments. It is told from several points of view, which added an extra element of interest for me. The story has a great pace and is a smooth and easy read. A great second instalment in the series- now for book #3.
Thank You, Ms. Solano and Ms. Justice!

“~Like a snowflake on the wind, fate has a way of picking you up and setting you down right where you belong. Though you may not know where you’re headed, sometimes it’s best to enjoy the ride. Trusting that you are part of a larger plan.”
As much as I’ve enjoyed this series and getting to know these characters this book went a little slower for me…but once it picked up the mystery continued until the final pages. Lots of twist and turns! Constantly wondering who to trust. Who is going to survive. Who is doing the chasing and who are they hunting. New friendships. Recovery. Regret. Who will get a new beginning. Hang tight…your questions will get answered.
“Thank you for being exactly what I needed. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to. A reason not to give up on myself. On life.”

Really?! These two authors must get a lot of joy when they finish a book and sit there giggling knowing what they are doing to their readers. I literally had to read the last 3 pages twice, I sat staring at my kindle thinking whoa..wait a minute..what just happened?!
I can’t say enough about how much I loved the first book and now I’m in the same place with this book..They are both awesome and I love that the POV’s are different between the two and I haven’t looked yet but I’m thinking book 3 will have yet another voice and if it’s who I think it is I can not wait…but truth is I dont care whose voice it is I still cant wait.
The writing style of these two authors is simply spot on, every word, every page is needed, no added fluff just 100% pure storytelling at its finest.
I can’t recommend these books enough, and please don’t rob yourself of the whole story, starting on this book will just not work in my opinion…Read them in order and you’ll see what I mean..
This book deserves way more than 5 stars and I’m chomping at the bit to dive into book 3.
The Dead of Winter (Seasons of Jefferson Book 2) by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice
I am absolutely, irrevocably in love with this series. It is my advise that you read book 1, When Fall Breaks, before reading this one, because you will need to know what has happened to understand what Caden is going through. This book is told by the POV of Caden. This is book will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. The author did and amazing job with the storyline in both of these books. As soon as I started reading this story I couldn’t put it down, I needed to know how things were going to play out and then of course I get to the end and it left me hanging!! Needless to say I will be reading book 3 as soon as possible. I feel like I can’t convey the emotion and I felt and the investment I felt in these characters and the outcome of their story. This book and this series is nothing short of an amazing story that I will not soon forget. This book is one that I will read over again because I truly enjoyed it that much!! I highly recommend this book!! Great job authors!! This is a 5 star read for me!!
The Dead of Winter: (Seasons of Jefferson: Book 2) by: Julie Solano and Tracy Justice is the second book in the series. After I read the first book, I couldn’t wait to read the rest. Just like the first I was hooked from the beginning. I really enjoy young adult novels and this was no exception. I really recommend reading book 1 before this one. These characters make me really miss my small group of friends from high school. The character development and writing style amazed me just as much this book as it did the first time, I really really enjoy reading these authors an cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I would definitely read anything they wrote together or separate in the future. I give this book a solid 5 stars.
