I ENJOYED THIS SERIES OF COLD CASE MYSTERIES
Love the two main characters – not exactly romantic but real – a real relationship in a real world. The crimes they investigate are secondary to the characters’ relationship. Now I’m reading the next set.
Four novels that read like one long novel.
Just plain old fashioned detective work. Predictable throughout and over simplified. On the other hand pleasant reading that does not tax the brain .
Got hooked on the first John Stone book and quickly added three more to the e-library. Each one was action-packed and much like the opener. Good lead character and lots of action and intrigue. A good series to enjoy; you’re always looking for more.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this series. I now have a new author that I like. I love the characters in this series. They work well together and I want more of them. The mystery is well written and surprising. I cannot wait to read more.
Good detective stories
Excellent light reading (e.g. a beach read).
Couldn’t put these books down.
I enjoyed the stories and the characters. Sometimes there were some holes in the narrative, but overall they were good.
I enjoyed all of the books – might not have rated it more than 3 1/2 but did like the characters. The twists and turns kept me reading. At price is well worth reading
Slow story
Well written and interesting
I thought the books were a great read. I liked the interactions between the Stone and Dehan. I like the old school detective teaching the new detective with an attitude how to control that attitude and learn to detect in the process.
Loved the pairing of detectives
Outstanding
Highly recommended
It kept my attention, I love a mystery I cannot see the ending coming after the third of fourth chapter. This one takes a few more chapters to know!
