My name is Oliver Arsen, but my mates call me Ollie.I live hard and love harder, and it’s love that usually gets me in the most trouble. According to the greater population, I’m the ultimate jerk.My affection tends to be short-lived—a quality I’ve been assured multiple times by the fairer sex isn’t becoming—and the leaving part of loving and leaving has always come natural. At least, it used to.… has always come natural.
At least, it used to.
Until her.
Luciana Wright.
She’s an American bombshell and my sister’s best friend—a woman so wrong for
me, it’s written in the waves.
And she’s the reason we’re all here.
The reason I have to go back to explain how it all went wrong.
To the day the jerk started falling.

That was just what the doctor ordered!
Seriously the swoons, and the eye rolling (need to be absolutely honest here), were real as we got Ollie’s POV on all that went down and then some. And let me tell you, the “and then some” was awesome and had my heart all kinds of twitterpatted throughout the book.
I’m going to keep this review on the short and sweet side because everything I said in my review of The Day I Stopped Falling For Jerks applies here. What I will add on to that is the fact that while Ollie is still a jerk, I fell harder for the man as he laid everything out there. He did certain things he probably shouldn’t have, but everything he did ended up taking him one step closer to where he was always meant to be.
As for Ollie and Lucky’s HEA? Let’s just say everything that they went through would only happen to them and exactly how it was alway meant to be *BSEG*
This was a great duet overall and I loved how the authors chose to tell Lucky and Ollie’s story because it truly gave me all the feels – the good, the bad and the ugly – thankfully there was a lot more good than anything else. The downside (not really though) to this is that I now need to get my hands on the other books by the authors and make to read them all…hopefully I’ll work it out. But outside of all that the only thing left for me to say is that I really, really, REALLY hope Jordy gets his own HEA in future because he really deserves it!

As I suspected Ollie was everything I wanted him to be. Strong, funny, sweet and detriment to make Lucky see how much he wants and needs her. I was a crying mess a few times as well as laughing so hard especially after finding out about his relationship with Amelia…I hit the 51% where he explained and I screamed – (seriously I screamed) I KNEW IT… think my kids think I’m crazy now .
This two books have changed my order in my favorite man written by Max Monroe..sorry Kline, I still love you .
The story was such a fun read and if you haven’t had the chance to “meet” this amazing writing due this is your chance…trust me when I say you won’t regret it!
Man, oh man. Talk about swoon-freaking-worthy! Ollie’s side of the story was just all-around captivating and so utterly addicting. You won’t be able to put this down until you finally hear the whole truth from him. You won’t be able to stop reading until you reach the very end. Because Ollie and Lucky? They’ll definitely take you on one hell of an insanely adorable journey of love with unexpected twists and a crap ton of humor.
“Falling in love isn’t perfect. It never was, and it never will be, and to think it could be is foolish.”
Ohhh yes, I know deep in my gut I laughed harder in this book. It was just too damn hilarious! Hell, I think one bout even lasted for an entire chapter. The thing I like most about Max Monroe’s humor is that it’s not forced at all. It’s so natural that when it falls off of Lucky’s or Ollie’s lips, it will just catch you totally off guard.
“I love you, Lucky Wright. And I’ll do anything for love. Yes, Meatloaf, even that.”
Although I think the one who truly stole the show here was Oliver Arsen. God, Ollie—you sweet, irresistible, lovable Aussie, you! I honestly didn’t think you’d have it in you, but you showed a completely vulnerable and softer side here that just made me fall so much harder for you. I knew you could turn up the charm like no other, but this… this was on a whole other level. Even you admitted and knew it. Luciana Wright can certainly own her nickname with zero doubts now. Because she’s nothing but lucky in love with you.
“I was as deep in you as you were in me, and we were both powerless to stop it.”
Needless to say, I still have this huge goofy grin on my face. I still have the swarm of butterflies fluttering like crazy in my stomach. And I’m still high up on cloud nine after reading this. The Day the Jerk Started Falling is just everything I hoped it would be and more. It wasn’t only the perfect way to end an already entertaining tale to boot, but it also sealed the deal that Max Monroe has found a new fan in me.
I was eagerly anticipating read the second book in this duet from Oliver (Ollie) Arsen’s point of view. If for whatever reason you have not read book one,Luciana (Lucky) Wright’s point of view,The Day I stopped Falling For Jerks, stop right now. I highly recommend you read it first otherwise you will not get the most out of reading The Day The Jerk Started Falling.
Ollie was everything I hoped he would be and oh so much more. Max Monroe had my emotions in a twist, there were times I was crying, times I was laughing but through it all I knew that these two books were something special.Telling the story from a podcast point of view is in my opinion unique. I will say that even though I thought I knew where this story was going to lead, I hadn’t counted on the sheer genius of Max Monroe. They had my head spinning and I was riveted from the first to the last chapter.
Max Monroe tied up all the loose ends and were able to surprise me, which is always a great things when reading.
Ollie is one of those book boyfriends who reels you in and honestly he made me swoon. It was wonderful to see a self confessed ladies man fall for a totally unexpected woman and Lucky, she deserved to get Lucky.
Lucky wanted the truth and she certainly got it, but at what cost? Will Lucky come around and give Ollie a second chance? When Ollie explained everything and bared his soul it was beautiful, even though he really could be a real jerk, he showed his caring and vulnerability and that just made me fall for his more. Never have I wanted a happily ever after more than I did for Ollie and Lucky.
Being Australian it was kind of fun to see how the Aussie would come across in the story and I was pleasantly surprised. I really hope that this duet is released in audio as I think it will be fantastic to listen too.
I am #TeamOllie
The first part of The Day the Jerk Started Falling is told in podcast form from Ollie’s point of view. Getting his take on everything that went down with Lucky is interesting. I often wish I could have my husband’s pov of things that happen between us. It sure looks a lot different when told by two different people. Ollie and Lucky both made some serious mistakes in their relationship, but to hear this strong, sexy, confident man own up to his mistakes for the world to hear is so endearing.
At about the halfway point in the book, the book was told in real time and we got to hear what transpired after Lucky finally hears Ollie’s side of falling. Hilarity that can only be told in true Max Monroe style ensued. The road to happily ever after took some doing, but some bumpy rides are worth it!
The Jerk Duet is one that made me truly smile! I honestly couldn’t put these books down. They are lighthearted, sweet, sexy, easy reads!
It’s Ollie’s turn and he’s bringing the woo. Hands down, I could listen to Ollie podcast all day long. I was imagining Chris Hemsworth talking into my ear holes and I’m all yes Ollie/Chris…speak to meeeee. I’m all ears, sir. I started this one and read it all in one sitting. I devoured it in a couple of hours because I was 110% invested in these two. I really liked the first one, but I looovvvveeeedddd this one. Love is hard, y’all. It’s not perfect and it can be extremely messy at times. But it comes down to what will you do to keep it and make it work? Lucky and Ollie certainly had an adventure but it was totally worth the craziness to get there and earn their love for each other. Once I finished, I hugged my iPad and made my husband sit there while I told him a story about a fashionista and her Australian surfer. What a fantastic duet. I highly, highly, highly recommend it!!
