It’s complicated.
What’s complicated?
My life!
Six kids, two stepchildren, a dead husband, a nanny with multiple personalities, and a crazy wig-wearing, drug-selling, sex addict mother is only half the story.
Just when I decide to get my act together by putting down the bottle, my daughter decides to throw a party.
This is bad, very bad.
Our parties never go as planned. I can feel the … bad, very bad.
Our parties never go as planned. I can feel the mayhem brewing.
Just when I’m ready to throw in the towel when it comes to men, in walks a hot cowboy that kicks my libido in the nuts!
How can I possibly turn my life around with all this going on?

Couldn’t I read it in public…….howling with laughter on a full train gets you some really strange looks.
This is the best book I have read for years…….well written, great characters, fantastic plot lines and I really really wish I knew this family.
Can’t wait to read the whole series.
I recommend that if you are having a bad day, think your family is strange or just want to see how others deal with the ‘little’ bumps in the road you know the things….split personalities (sex addict, a guy trapped in a girls body and a nice person), viagra for those over 80 and some one just trying to be normal in a household of ‘individuals’…..this is the book for you.

What a wild read.
This was not as expected.
I liked the characters and the plot were hilarious.
All I have to say is that this book will have you on the floor cracking up. It’s about a dysfunctional family. You have a grandmother that is selling pills to pay for their education for her grandchildren. You have one of the kids that thinks they are a villain. The other is concern about there imaginary friend. One trying to through a birthday party. The mother is left a widow and is trying to stop drinking. One of the kids are dating a girl that has multiple personality. This was a great read. I loved the storyline and plot. A amazing book with plenty of humor.
Its about family and their quirky different ways they do things.
I love the characters, especially yaya.
I highly recommend this book to read
I couldnt put it down.

We were warned beforehand. Thankfully so because this family it CRAZY. It still was an enjoyable read. However, I would never want to have to deal with a family like this. The ending being the way it is I will have to read the next book and see how this is all going to play out. I just hope I’m ready for it.
Crazy and hilarious! Loved this book. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I want to be Yaya when I grow up!
…and I totally identified with her. Well, apart from the sexual addiction bit that is. She’s all metal, Bogan and smoking those tyres up when she’s not giving some of her Grandchildren a run for their money, and despite everything, her husband, Pops, still loves her.
Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore have tag teamed and created a hilarious and chaotic story about the antics and coping (or not) strategies of the Miller/Davenport family after the too soon death of their much loved father and husband, Mark Davenport. There are a multitude POV in this book – and it works. I loved hearing the voices of the different characters because they all have something to contribute.
There is so much to this book, the over the top humour of Yaya and her street cred kept me entertained, then suddenly, there is the poignant sadness of loss, and Lucy’s admission to her young son that Mommy doesn’t do as good a job at some things that Daddy did. She misses Mark with all of her heart, and her life is spiralling out of control.
There is only one thing that I couldn’t find any humour in, and that is my personal aversion to cheating even when under the guise of addiction or the split personalities that belonged to Daisy, the younger kids’ Nanny. Even then, our authors still put a life lesson out there, shrouded in the light hearted banter – unconditional love. Pops still loved Yaya in spite of everything, and Ford, one of Lucy’s boys, saw that, and knew he still loved Daisy, even if one of her personalities had an errant slutty side!
They’ve even managed to sneak in a touch of intrigue, because we find out that apparently Mark had hidden depths, and his family isn’t left as secure as they should have been. The sharks are circling.
If you’re after masses of humour that doesn’t include a side of sweet romance, then this is the book for you. I’m thinking that Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore won’t admit it, but underneath the skin of the humours over-the-top plot, I found a depth of feeling that made this a well rounded pilot for their new series. 4 Stars.
The Davenports (and Daisy) are one hell of a cray cray family and an absolute hoot! This book gives you an intro to the family members and you get to know most of them pretty well although we still haven’t really got to know the 2 Tweedles as much. I really loved how the book set the scene of the family and all their quirks that can leave you either cringing or lol or really glad they aren’t your family but wish you knew someone like them ie I lurve Yaya she is an absolute hoot but there is no way I would want her as a family member or I would be forever on high alert around her!!! 😀 I can not wait to read the next edition of this series and see what happens next as the ending was like “Whaaat?!?!”

This is a laugh out loud till your sides hurt book! Not your sweet, sexy romance but you will never miss it. We get to peek inside the crazy, dysfunctional Davenport family and fall in love with each and every one of them. I can’t wait to read the next edition of this fun family.
I can honestly say that I have NEVER read a book like The Crazy Rich Davenports. This book is indescribable. For starters, you have a family who understands that each member is nuts, the nanny has multiple personalities, and one sibling has an imaginary friend. If I were to say much more than the book’s cover provides, I would be disclosing spoilers.
I laughed throughout the book. The characters are absolutely outrageous! Example: Yaya’s pharmaceutical business keeps the elderly up and running (pun intended). Lol
However, in some ways I found the book sad. Each character has serious issues. How a person copes with real life trauma varies according to the individual. Coping mechanisms may vary widely, but the authors shed light on some of the circumstances which may cause such dysfunction in a person’s psyche. Kelly Moore and Shannyn Leah strike the right balance in the descriptions of “nuts for a reason” and just plain “nuts”!
A book that you can’t put down!

A wild, hilarious and crazy ride of a O so crazy family that will end on a cliffhanger for Lucy and her crazy clan but it a introduction per say to this wild family. The family includes one widow, Lucy’s parents, six kids, and a nanny with multiple personalities. It is told in multiple POV’s and kept me turning the pages. It includes ots of drama, but under it all is a family that loves and as crazy as things maybe, when times are tough they bond together. Rough times are expected… can’t wait for the next installment. Wowza! I adored this laugh out loud story! IT was crazy but really good and very funny!
I can not wait for the next book!
I thoughly enjoyed this book and the writing style. I liked the introduction of the characters with their description, this made it easier to follow the story since there are so many characters. I HATE the story ends with a cliffhanger!!!!! That aside, Kelly Moore did a fantastic job of keeping the story lines straight while delving into the characters personalities and the story development.

This is definitely an appropriate title for this crazy soap opera! Full of hilarious drama and characters that has you rolling.
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.*
I have hazy fond memories of the TV show ‘Soap’, and this book brings to mind all of those fond hazy memories. I was too young to actually be allowed to watch it, so most of what I remember are stolen moments of shocking things that shouldn’t have been funny but made me laugh anyway. For me, this story was like that daytime dramedy train wreck that you know you should look away from, but you’re irresistibly drawn to watch it play out. I found that a lot of this book spends time showing us around town and introducing us to the major players before revealing the hook in the end to help entice us into book two. I’m looking forward to seeing what other family secrets are uncovered and where this zany family ends up next.

Okay this book is absolutely hilarious and if you are looking fro a good laugh with some inappropriate humor you so have to read it. Each member of the Davenport family is quite crazy in their own way with each being very very unique. Add in some extras with things like multiple personalities, drug dealing, sex toys, and a few more surprises and you never know what will happen next. I know I need a grandma like Yaya she is awesome! I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
These people are definitely crazy! The story was written wonderfully even with the changing of characters. It is definitely not for the faint of heart but it is hilarious to read the happenings of this crazy family.
