It’s complicated.
What’s complicated?
My life!
Six kids, two stepchildren, a dead husband, a nanny with multiple personalities, and a crazy wig-wearing, drug-selling, sex addict mother is only half the story.
Just when I decide to get my act together by putting down the bottle, my daughter decides to throw a party.
This is bad, very bad.
Our parties never go as planned. I can feel the … bad, very bad.
Our parties never go as planned. I can feel the mayhem brewing.
Just when I’m ready to throw in the towel when it comes to men, in walks a hot cowboy that kicks my libido in the nuts!
How can I possibly turn my life around with all this going on?

4 Star review of Dare To Enter (The Crazy Rich Davenports #1) by Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore
This was a laugh out loud hilarious read that had me receiving many funny looks as I read this on the train today. It was non stop fun and all I can say is please write more stories with these amazing characters. I laughed so much that I nearly wet myself; I know too much information but honestly, it is the truth.
Lucy wants to add some normalcy to her family but she has an uphill battle on her hands. Throw in her deceased husband Mark’s family and chaos reigns.
The authors state that this is a story about a dysfunctional family and yet it was so much more.; it was a cracker of a story. So much drama and so many generations of family are throughout this story that at times I had no idea what was going to happen or in fact was happening since I was laughing so much.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Davenports are a crazy bunch but they are also loveable and reading Dare To Enter was like riding a roller coaster which was out of control, but in a good way.
Talk about drama and craziness! This book was so fun to listen to with some crazy and funny charaters that kept me listening until it was done, and already wanting more. Yaya is my favorite character by far but the is definitely many fighting for second. Such fun writing and the narration is great!
Fabulous Story & Narration Bizarrely Entertaining!
The Davenports: Season One, Episode One
The CRD Series, Book 1
By: Shannyn Leah, Kelly Moore
Narrated by: Sebastian Reynolds, Kae Denino
Holy moly, this book lives up to its name, “The Crazy Rich Davenports”. It is a bizarrely entertaining book of a dysfunctional family like no other, they are over the top each one having their own issues. Lucy lost her husband Mark, she is barely coping with that loss. She has six children of various ages and a nanny, Daisy, who is supposed to help, but is not much of a she has multiple personalities and each one comes with their own challenge. Adding to the mix is Yaya, Lucy’s Mom an eccentric over the top senior. When Lucy’s mother-in-law comes to visit, they stay unusually long and bring news that is not music to Lucy’s ear. A lot goes on in this book, it is quite an original story and continues on in the next book, like episodes in in a television series. This is a brilliantly written story, it holds your attention for the entire time and leaves you wanting to know more and what is going to happen next. Thank you Shannyn Leah & Kelly Moore for the wild ride!
I listened to the Audiobook edition, Sebastian Reynolds and Kae Denino are fabulous narrators and voice performers. They were perfectly casted to bring the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They did a great job portraying the characters, superbly performing each role, capturing their uniqueness as well as their emotions. They handled the witty dialogue and banter with perfection, never missing a beat. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen

Audiobook Review:
4 of 5 stars
This is a seriously hilarious story featuring one hilarious and oh so dysfunctional family. My jaw dropped as much as I burst out laughing and I really enjoyed the story. Each member of the family brought their own separate brand of crazy and I couldn’t predict what would come next.
The narrators for the story were both new to me but I was so very impressed with them. There were so many voices and different characters and yet each one sounded different. I never felt like I didn’t know who was speaking despite who’s point of view the chapter was from.
I can’t wait for more of this series to come to audio and while I appreciate (and laughed at) the warning, I do believe this story isn’t for those who are easily offended. But for those who like to listen and laugh at crazy, often inappropriate antics, this is one to check out.

OMG! What I have just listened to? This is the first book in The Crazy Rich Davenports, a great introduction to this new Series. This story, written by Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore, is nothing like I have listened to before. I applaud the originality of the story. The Season 1 Episode 1 is absolutely hilarious!! The Davenports are rich, really rich. This family is totally screwed up. The cast of characters is wonderful. I need a family picture! The storyline is filled with family drama, and non-stop twists and turns. I laughed a lot throughout the story. It’s great to have the different POV. The story ends with an intrigue, and I need to know what will happen next. Sebastian Reynold and Kae Denino did an outstanding job with the narration. All the characters were easy to distinguish, and their personality was well personified. The team, authors/narrators, is amazing. Bravo! Now, I need more of this crazy world! Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Lucy.
First of all, this story is fun, crude, laugh out loud crazy. It’s about how a family, trying to survive after the fathers death. It seems everything is falling apart. Add in Yaya who is a hoot, selling Viagra at the nursing home. A nanny with multiple personalities that take over at the worst opportune moments. Each character has their own little quirks.
Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore, show the family at their at their strongest, weakest most vulnerable, embarrassing and funniest moments. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Sebastian Reynolds and Kae Denino are phenomenal in their narration. The voices and personalities for each character were spot on! Their ability to transition from one character to the other is flawless. It was a joy to listen to this story. Thanks for a great listen. audiobookobsessionreviewer

The Davenports: Season One, Episode One (The CRD Series, Book 1) is a hilarious soaked up with drama about a dysfunctional family and chaotic relationships that plays like a tv series. Told in multi-pov with relateable characters. The writing style is avant garde and artistic. With so many different personalities vying for attention, I enjoyed slutty Pepper’s personality the best. Grandma Yaya’s idiosyncrasy over-and-above a tier of uproariously. However, all characters and personalities brought something of their own. The anecdote is highly addictive and entertaining to listen..
Narators Sebastian Reynolds, Kae Denino dual narration was splendiferous. With so many multiple personalities in the mix Kae created an array of voices to articulate in an amazing way. Sebastian Reynolds embodies what I expect in this type of character. I loved his voice. His inflection is perfect for this role. A entertaining creation.
I cannot wait to get a chance to listen to episode two in this over-the-top-series
The Flock – Pink Famingo
The Davenports: Season One, Episode One by Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore is a romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Sebastian Reynolds and Kae Denino.
This is the first book of Shannyn and Kelly’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. This book was hilarious and kept me on the edge of my seat. I had to know what was going to happen next. I loved that the book switched between all the characters different points of view’s. I cannot wait for the next book in the series Lucy: Season One, Episode Two to be released on audible.
Sebastian and Kae did an amazing job on the narration! They really brought the story to life. I have to give extra props to Kae for all her different voices she had to use for so many characters. Amazing!!!
I would highly recommend this book if you need a good laugh!

The Davenports: Season One, Episode One
The CRD Series, Book 1
By: Shannyn Leah, Kelly Moore
Narrated by: Sebastian Reynolds, Kae Denino
If you want a good laugh and just an all around fun listen, this is the book for you! Written by Shannyn Leah and Kelly Moore, this talented team holds nothing back. Language, political incorrectness, mental health, addiction, sex, it’s all in there and written so superbly that the time flies by. The Davenports are crazy rich, and with so many family dysfunctional family members that there is at least one character you can relate to. Lucy lost her husband, and has 6 children. Yaya and all her quirkiness adds a layer of hilarity, along with the multiple personality nanny, a frisky gardener and more that just keep the story flowing. It’s funny, quirky and had me laughing out loud. I am anxiously awaiting the next episode!
Sebastian Reynolds and Kae Denino are the narrators that bring this lively story to life. It’s my first time with both and I enjoyed their style. Reynolds came through as the calming effect of Ford. He wants to make the family better, and Reynolds keys into his personality and finds the niche that is Ford. Denino had her hands full with the women, and she was amazing. Both have great comedic timing and made this a joy of a listen.

This is a totally crazy serie, that everybody should read.
The characters are so well described that you think you know them all. I’m not sure that I would like to have them all around me – some of them are a bit scary – but they all want the best for each other.
This is a must read.
There is foul language, split personalities, (Daisy, Slutty Pepper and Tommy?) Ford has his hands full.
There is so much crazy, Daisy is the nanny for Fords younger siblings and their “dating”
You’ve got Lucy the mother, who is doing the Gardener Rye.
Gemma the virgin who is some what normal.
There are a lot if innuendos, inner musings, devious plans from the children from the first marriage. This story has to be read in bits and pieces slowly to catch on know who is who and who us a couple.
There are family members that are trying to control Lucy and the Davenport holdings, Cash the brother of Lucys deceased husband is offering to help if she will marry him, the grandparents are conniving and manipulative.
Underage drinking, maybe drugs and this is their every day life. Ford is trying to better the family dynamics but dating someone with multiple personalities and dealing with an alcoholic sexual active mother and young siblings things get out of hand. The book ends on a cliffhanger with Cash occupying a guest room after Ford through him and the grandparents out.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was different and I liked that, you sometimes get tired of the same scenarious and we didn’t have that. What we did have was some of the craziest things you will ever read. It was hilarious and I caught myself shaking my head a lot. I dont want to give to much away to encourage you to not take my word for it, but for you to grab a copy. If you are a prude or dont like things spelled out then dont read. If you want to get out of boredom then definately grab a copy. Enjoy! because I sure did.
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to authors and have given my voluntary opinions.
Clever, hilarious, hot, and irreverent in the absolute best of ways. Do yourself a favor and grab this one. Crazy, indeed! I’m on to read the next one…
This is hands down, one of the best books I’ve read all year! And I’ve not read another like it! It was so much fun to read, and I can’t wait for the next installment! The cast of characters are as colorful as any I’ve ever “met”, and their story, I’ve never read anything like it! I laughed out loud more than once, and you will too! The Davenports are the craziest family you’ll ever meet, and you’ll be hooked straight out of the gate. If you never read another series this year, make sure this is the one you read!
This is a fun read as the warning in the front of the book says the family is dysfunctional and there is a lot of inappropriate language and behaviour. There are lots of characters that you will either love or hate. Daisy, the Nanny with multiple personalities, Yaya with her bag of tricks and uptight Gemma are just of few. Look forward to more of this series.
Wow! How do I even describe this book!?!? The authors warned us before we ever received the book that it was different than their normal writing. That was an understatement! But it is a good different that I am so glad I read the book. The Davenport family is so dysfunctional it is funny! There is one side of the Davenport family that is rich, stuffy, rude and controlling. That was what Lucy married into, but her husband died unexpectedly a year ago. That was the downward slide for the other side of the Davenports. The crazy, happy grandma YaYa is a hoot that doesn’t surprise you with the crazy things she comes up with once you get to know her. The nanny that has at least three different personalities that we meet is something else. I think every child had some form of “different” to them. If you are like me, you will not be able to stand the old money, rich side of the family. The others definitely grow on you. This isn’t a book that ends, it is a series that continues. I for one can’t wait for the next book. If you are ready for a change and want to laugh out loud, the. I strongly encourage you to read this book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
I honestly don’t know how to explain how hilarious this story is without giving away spoilers! However, I will say that this is the first installment and it takes place over a two-day time period while they are planning a party for one of the children from Lucy’s husband’s first marriage, and the two families don’t exactly get along. During the party planning and the party itself, we get to see all of the crazy goodness which is Yaya. She is probably one of the funniest characters I have ever read and frighteningly enough, I can totally imagine myself behaving like her at when I am that age! Gemma is trying to bring all of the family together, Lucy decides that maybe she should stop drinking and take better care of her family, Ford is trying to survive the many sides of Daisy – and it is all chaos.
Prior to reading The Crazy Rich Davenports, I already knew what talented authors Shannyn and Kelly are, but this joint creation is absolutely wonderful. They have both stepped out of their comfort zones and their “normal” genre, amazing me with their creativity, fast-paced action, and amazing characterization. This is a novel that feels like you’re watching a t.v. show or movie. You are right there in the action, rather than sitting back slowly allowing the author to unwrap the characters, setting, and plot.
I will say that yes, there are some comments, topics, actions, etc. that are included in this book that could possibly offend some readers. However, if you enjoy comedy and do not mind some dirty humor, then I promise that you will love this novel. The Crazy Rich Davenports is a novel that is fresh, unique, and will evoke so much laughter your abs will think you have been to the gym. Kelly Moore Shannyn Leah
The Davenports are more than crazy. They’re certifiable. Every single one of them. Think of the Gallaghe’s in Shameless. The only difference is the Davenport’s are rich. Having money doesn’t mean having class.
But that’s what I love about this family. If you took away the money, they would almost be just like any other family struggling with the dynamics after a loss. There were times when Yaya had me in stitches. Crazy old bat was a genuine delight. Her thought process left me in awe. Now I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this family. Hopefully more craziness and laughter.
It had too much going on for my taste but others may enjoy the book
This was a quick, entertaining read. The book describes the antics of a wacky, dysfunctional family. It was fast paced, funny and raunchy. I would recommend this story to others.
