700 pages and hours of reading in one collection — books 1-3 of The Daughters of Allamont Hall, a series of traditional Regency romances, drawing room rather than bedroom.Amy is a shy, timid soul, browbeaten by her domineering father until she’s terrified to do or say anything without his approval. When he dies suddenly, his will leaves large dowries for his six daughters, but only if they marry … his six daughters, but only if they marry in the proper order, the eldest first. Amy must now find herself a husband, and soon, so her younger sisters can marry in their turn. There are several possible suitors, but will any of them come up to scratch? And how will Amy choose without her father to guide her?
Belle is the plain one of the six Allamont sisters, happy with her books. With Amy betrothed, now Belle must find a husband. Reluctant to parade herself at balls and card parties, she intends to accept the offer of her cousin, James, a pragmatic but loveless choice on both sides. But fate and poetry and the gentle tendrils of friendship combine to overturn her careful plans.
Connie’s older sisters have managed to find husbands, but now it’s her turn and she’s not sure she wants to marry at all. Having only just escaped her late father’s restrictive regime, she’s reluctant to surrender her freedom to another man just yet. If only she could find one who would fall so adoringly in love that he would do anything for her.

Couldn’t get into it at all
Truly predictable and tiresome. If you read one you can miss the rest.
Good Series. Worth the time it took to read these.
Nice romantic stories….a little unbelievable but I guess that is being in a fictional story…
Relaxing place to be.
easy and light reading.
I enjoyed the series
not well written
These are very interesting & each sister’s story is unique & true to character. I ended up buying the rest of this series & all the published ones of the next series and joining a mailing list.
I really enjoyed these first three books. Look forward to readin the other three
The books must be read in order. The chapters are very long. There are a lot of unlikeable characters.
enjoyed this book and all the sisters stories
The first book almost made me put it down. Amy turns out to be the least likable sister. She is a doormat. She wants to be a doormat. She wants someone to replace her father, but just someone nicer. I’m glad I slogged through because the rest of the series is much better.
I thought it was too wordy.
The first story almost stopped me from reading further as the heroine almost seemed developmentally delayed as all it seemed she wanted was to never have to make a decision. Luckily I kept reading and the other 3 stories were pretty good. Especially Belle.
I love easy to read books. However, this book had enough twist and turns In the lives of the sisters to keep it very interesting.
A little repetitive, but nice clean little group of stories.
The ladies were unique for their time … what a time to live in….
I will have to say this set of books got better the longer you went into it. I rated it lower because Amy was such a weak character and her mother was just not there. I am not sure why the mother was even in the books.
I enjoyed the writing, and The character development of all the central characters was excellent. Belle’s and Connie’s stories were much more likable because they had stronger personalities and had obstacles to overcome. The story flows really well from book to book, and you wouldn’t know that it was a new book if there wasn’t a bridge telling you so.
Forced myself to finish the first story but was sorely disappointed at its slow process. Who cares what is worn, what fabric is used, etc.? Began the second book but decided to stop before it grew as torturous as the first. Sorry but I really appreciate a story which gets into the meat of it rather than all the superfluous add on details.
Regency romance without the steam, but with fresh characters full of flaws. Light, but amusing.
