I think readers would benefit from reading some of the previous books in the series before reading this one. The book goes between present day and 26 years when Mitch first meets Klempner. As always, it’s really well written and makes it so you want to continue reading till the end.

We are now well along in the series, with well established characters and an evolving plot line with a lot of mystery and intrigue. While the story started as two separate BDSM series, it has now merged into one and developed a life of its own, so to speak. I honestly don’t think a straight BDSM story could continue to be interesting after all this time, but the addition of the mystery allows us to delve into the character’s past, compelling us forward. And it is doing a grand job of it.
The characters, but doms and subs, have grown and are now quite experienced working together. The writing is fantastic, striking an excellent balance between the erotica that we grew to love and the secrets that are slowly being revealed. The result is a hot and sexy story with twists and turns which keep you glued to the page. Fortunately, the author is prolific and the next book is just around the corner!

Great story line and characters, Awesome !! Loved this book. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the story. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!

This series has been so wonderful to read. A story of love and a story of submission. Yet there have been questions remaining that could only be answered from the past. The current volume does in fact answer questions from the rest of the series but yet feels so appropriate in its place in the scheme of the publications. We see Charlotte’s mother and her dealings with Klempner and Connors. These interactions provide some additional questions, most notably which one is Charlotte’s father. Great read.

I love the way Simone has created a wonderful and suspenseful mystery, while not shorting readers on the eroticism and sensuality that brought many readers to her books in the beginning. I love the depth and complexity she gives her characters. There is no shortage of surprises and twists that leave me anticipating what will happen next.

*Sigh* I’m going to say this again. This is one of the most addictive series I’ve ever read. Reading “The Daughter’s Manumission” was exciting and thrilling as always. You can feel the momentum moving within the storyline. More and more information is being revealed. I know I’m going to be in the 1% of readers and reviewers with this opinion, but here goes. For awhile, I really had of had some sympathy for Ben, Michael’s brother since he was so rigidly vanilla I could almost feel his staunchness. But within the last couple books, especially this one, I was REALLY wanting more damage done to him. Just saying. And as for Klempner. I know he’s an evil pile of dung, but somewhere along the way I see an abused boy who grew up to be a disillusioned, hard man who realizes he has a heart and it makes me rather sad to know something is coming that will destroy that and immediately harden his heart more than it was before. We’ve made it this far, don’t miss out on it now!!
This goes back and forth between what happened to Charlotte’s mother 26 years ago and what is happening right now with Charlotte, James, and Michael this minute. It’s very fast moving add rakes place right after Charlotte marries Michael. This gives the reader more insight into Charlotte’s mother.. Of course their group marriage becomes a problem.

I loved reading this book collection, it’s good, hot, sexy and a very good read. I curled up with my hot tea, a warm blanket and couldn’t put it down. It leaves me wanting to read more about the characters in books that characters come from and I plan to as I love a good book. Was a wonderful read throughout. The characters pull you in and make you want to read more. Keep it coming…

Simone is one of my top 10 authors and I love this series. Charlotte’s 1st birthday with James & Michael is here and will it be everything they planned? Ben, Michael’s brother gets underfoot of their birthday plans. Then more on the past with Charlotte’s mother. Where will this all lead, you have to read to find out and anxiously await the next part in the series.
I cannot get enough of this series. I love the additional insight of the Triad with Ben and Kirstie and I absolutely love the untold story of Klempner and Mitch. Klempner was and is a business man but back then a gentleman that showed a soft side for the woman he was falling for? I’m so anxious to find out more of what happened years ago. I know Conners is out of the picture but will we get his POV of what happened? Will Mitch get to tell hers? I can’t wait to find out!!!

This book will draw you in and will not let you go. I cannot wait to see what happens next. It really starts to explain why Klempner is obsessed and makes you really think about who his mole is. This mystery is getting more and more interesting and I cannot wait to figure it out.

Simone keeps on doing it for the 3 LOVE interest of Charlotte, James & Michael. In this episode though we keep jumping from the past of 29-26 yrs ago with (Shelley) Mitch, Larry Klempner & Frank Conners where we first see Shelley seeing her brothers Davey & Stevie (as she used to call them) unexpectedly then moving ahead in the past of when she meets Klampner & Conners.
REALLY CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE PROGRESSION OF HOW THIS WILL PROGRESS….
Finding out about the past in small snippets is so excititng. It’s like a small candy melting in your mouth. You learn to savor what you are given. The choices Mitch has made and how they impact her family. The obsessive desire that Klempner has swirls darkly thru the story. You can see the threads just starting to bind and twist. As always you are left wanting more.

Well, what can I say, it was a brilliant read. Lots of questions are being answered and dare I say I felt little sorry for Klempner, only a little and not for long. I love how we are learning about Charlotte’s mothers history with Klempner and Charlotte’s father. What has been a mystery up till now, is now being answered. I didn’t see it coming how much Klempner was actually involved in Charlotte’s mothers life. I also like how Simone has written Ben and Kirstie into the story.
If you haven’t read any of the story about Charlotte and her two men, James and Michael, you will probably struggle with this one. I can recommend 100% Mastering the Virgin and Charlotte’s Search and these should be read before this book.

I love seeing things come to light in Simone’s series. I highly recommend reading the other series involving these characters first. This can be read as a stand alone series but it is so much better with the knowledge from the others. I really detest Klempner though. Just sayin. And yeah, Ben’s a jackass. I love the backbone of the ladies in this. Sub doesn’t mean wimp or coward. I love Charlotte’s strength and passion. Speaking of which, the passion here is wonderful, powerful. Someone needs to punch Ben….yeah lol.
