Taz has found the man to give her a happily ever after and now she wants Ivy to get the same so she throws her bouquet to her. When she meets Chris she never thought that he could want someone like her. Her low self esteem had her thinking that no man could be interested in her and when her boss along with Chris made moves, their story is what makes this one stand out. Ivy may not think much about her self but these two men have interest in her for different reasons. Who will she choose? This story draws you in and have you in Ivy’s corner to get a chance for a happily ever after. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I liked Chris and Ivy. I wanted them to get together. This book just felt so brief to me. There wasn’t much to either of their characters. I only got surface information about each of them. The only background information I got about Chris was from Ivy’s father, and it was brief. Ivy had body issues, and sisters that were not so nice.
The sisters seem to interact with the parents, more like the sisters are all teenagers instead of 2 of then being grown women. Only 2 of the 4 sisters are teenagers. Its kind of strange
It wasn’t that I disliked the story, it was more like there wasn’t enough story. It was a very surface kind of experience. I don’t understand all of this instalove. Chris and Ivy develop a relationship over maybe 3 or 4 days. They know NOTHING about one another, decide they are in love and make these major commitments.
I kind of understood why Chris didn’t tell Ivy about the doctor’s intentions, but I don’t understand why her sister, Naomi didn’t tell her. The sisters aren’t even close enough to share what’s going on in their lives with on another.
The narration was ok. The story left me wanting. I am a big fan of this author. Some of her other books seemed to have so much more depth and detail to them.
I listened to this book, and it was only a little over 3.5 hours. The narration was ok. I would recommend you read this book and judge for yourself.
Ivy Parker’s life is about to be turned sideways when two men show interest in her. With her low self-esteem issues, she struggles to determine who she should choose. Once her decision is made, fate intervenes to throw a spanner in the works, leaving nothing looking certain except for Ivy’s newfound faith in herself.
This is a sweet romance with a touch of drama that will hold your interest throughout. The characters and storyline are engaging, and the moments of conflict add depth to the overall entertainment of the story. It’s a very appealing romance.

This is the second book in the ‘Parker Sister Series’ and is Ivy’s story. It opens with the whole Parker family in attendance at Taz and Jerry’s wedding. This is where Ivy meets Chris McDonald, a handsome friend of Jerry’s. She has a hard time understanding what interest Chris could have in her due to her low self confidence and poor self image. Still in search of a relationship, she agrees to a date with her boss, Henry Blackwell, a doctor who is head of obstetrics. Doctor Blackwell seems to have his life together and is ready to settle down but lacks the charm, honesty, and heat of Chris. What happens next has to be read but know that the book keeps the reader’s interest with some mystery, intrigue and romance. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it. I look forward to the next book in the series.
This book is an excellent, enjoyable, entertaining read with great characters and romance.
Highly recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Ivy thought of herself as the overweight Parker sister, not slim like her sisters. And basically everyone made a comment now and again about her weight. She was all alone and living in a cabin on the property owned by her parents. She meets a very hot man at Taz’s wedding and he shows interest in her. Then he shows up in the maternity unit where Ivy works with one very pregnant woman. So he’s not single as she thought and he inferred. Another terrific story in the Parker sisters series. Cannot wait for the next one.
Another sister, another romance! This time it’s Ivy. She’s a nurse and is a little chunkier than her sisters. And intentional or not, they make her feel self-conscious about it. So color her surprised when not one, but two men start vying for her attention. Will Ivy be able to overcome her discomfort and let a man in? And if so, who will it be…the doctor or the stud? It’s always so much fun visiting with these sisters.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This got all of my emotions involved.
This is a review of the audiobook,

The Dating Game is the second book in the Parker Sisters series. You could probably read this without reading book one first, but I think you’ll enjoy them more if you read the series in order.
I’ll start off with the narration. Teri Clark Linden has narrated a few other books by Ms. Eckhart. She really does a wonderful job and made listening to this story very enjoyable. I’m really picky about female narrators and she is one of the good ones.
I really loved this story. Ivy feels like she doesn’t measure up to her sisters – her two older ones are now married – and she’s self-conscious about her weight (she’s – //sarcastic OMG// – a size 12) and hasn’t dated anyone in a while.
She now finds herself being pursued by a doctor at the hospital where she works and a man (Chris) she met at her sister’s wedding. She gets very confused about her feelings for both men and it takes her a while to realize which one is right for her.
Chris is attracted to Ivy and is very disturbed to overhear her sisters saying unkind things about her weight. He wants to date her but he won’t play second chair to the doctor who also wants to date her. Chris has his own business and things aren’t going well. This complicates things between him and Ivy and he decides to step back.
Even though it makes me a bit sad that at a size 12 Ivy is considered to be plump, I love that Chris thinks she is perfect just the way she is and lets her sisters have it when he hears them saying negative things about her size.
Everything doesn’t go smoothly for Ivy and Chris but they get their HEA in the end and this is my favorite book in the series so far.
A copy of this audiobook was provided to me at no cost but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
The second story of the series takes us back to Wyoming and the Parker sisters. This time it’s Ivy’s story. She is a maternity ward nurse, with some self image insecurities due to her weight. At her sister’s Taz wedding she meets Chris, a friend of the groom. Chris is a hard working man, rough around the edges and one with whom attraction is immediate.
Overnight Ivy, who never had dates, ends up with two, one with hard working Chris and another with a very polished doctor. This one with ulterior motives.
It’s a story about family , relationships, life’s ups and downs, and about following one’s heart. Also a reminder that what people say to someone , even in jest, does in fact affect how they see themselves.
Another entertaining story in this series.
I wish to say also, that the narrator of the audiobook, Teri Clark Linden , does a very good job with the different voices in the story.
The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Loved this series
