Nothing serious. Just another fling, just another challenge to win. That was what I signed up for when I agreed to the blind date. But I never thought I would be hooked on her. Personality, beauty, curves and all.But I cannot have a serious relationship … especially not with her.I have lied to her. She does not know who I am and that I am just playing a game. When she finds out the truth, there will … game.
When she finds out the truth, there will no longer be any us.
But wasn’t that what I wanted … before meeting her.

Good read…nice characters. I can understand why Alex held back information, but I can also understand Muffy’s POV. Definitely worth the read!

An enjoyable fun romance story. This engaging storyline had me addicted page after page. It included humor, romance, angst, secrets, friendship, and chemistry. The characters were well developed interesting, and had and instant attraction. I voluntarily reviewed this great romance ARC that ends with an awesome HEA and fantastic epilogue.
This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.
Well that didn’t work. I’ll start again.
Alex is a young and jaded wealthy tech guy that created software with his BFF Jay.
Both are FRUSTRATED with women that are more interested in their wallets than them. Jay is still going through the motions. Alex mocks him…so Jay challenges him to a bet…find a woman who like him minus any awareness of his incredible wealth.
Enter some online dating.
Muffy is a nice lady but constantly under appreciated. She has a cynical BFF named Carla. Carla gets Muffy into some online dating sites.
This was a cute story. It would be very hard to find a partner if you were extremely wealthy. Yes, I could relate to both Alex and Muffy.
I volunteered to read this book for an honest review.
The story was covered by the blurb & in even more detail by previous reviewers so I wont comment further on it. This ticked all the boxes for me. The relationship started out on a lie but could the hot hero come clean about his deception once he found the heroine to be the girl he wanted & needed in his life. I note one reviewer didn’t like the characters but to me that adds to the story & let’s face it, more realistic, we’re all flawed after all. Highly recommended.
I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
This is my favorite Lindsey Hart book to date! If you’re a fan, you will love it. If you’re new to her books, this is the one to try. Muffy is down on herself after dating the wrong men who make her feel less due to her name. This in turn causes her to feel inadequate about everything else in her life. Her roommate/best friend, Carla sets up an online profile for her and convinces her to try dating again. This is where she meets Alex – a billionaire who is tired of dating women who only want him for his money. His best friend, Jay, bets him that he can’t find a normal girl, not interested in his money via online dating. The terms of the bet and the ensuing outcomes will make you smile. The conversations between Carla and Muffy are a riot. I actually gave this book 4 1/2 stars!
This is a fun read – no heavy angst, no cliffhanger, just enjoyable reading.

Emotional rollercoaster!! A bet between two old friends leads to the discovery that true love does exist and not all women only want a man for his money. Sizzling physical chemistry, truly believable characters and a great storyline.

Disenchanted with the dating scene!
by sewsummore
What happens when two people find themselves totally disenchanted with the dating scene, they decide never to try again. This is what happened to Muffy and Alex. Their friends try to cheer them up and eventually they cave in and agree to try online dating. Having bad experiences in the past the last thing they expected was to form a connection with each other. Alex was a wealthy man sick for being dated for his money. Muffy was a woman confident in her self, she just wanted a man who wanted the same things as she did. He did not have to be rich or look like a “Greek God”, he just had to love her for herself. This was an amusing romance with a deeper meaning. Your significant other does not have to be perfect, just perfect for you. Alex made a mistake for lying to her, but his regard for her was honest and true. Does she forgive him, read the book and you will find out.

If you are looking for a funny and sexy read, this is the book for you! I love this author’s humor and witty writing. I would definitely recommend this book.
I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a seriously funny ADULT story about a bet that goes tragically wrong (or horribly right-no spoilers here) and takes less than a day to read.

Muffy is dumped by her 40 year old boyfriend because her name is an embarrassment to him. Her flatmate Carla talks her into having an online dating identity so that she can experience a relationship with a man who wont be offended by her name. She has made a deal after the first dud she goes out with to try three more dates. Then she meets Alex, he seems to good to be true. She is involved in a comedy of errors on her first date and doesn’t believe he will go out with her again, but is then surprised when he wants to see her again.
Alex is a billionaire and is tired of women wanting to go out with him for his money. His business partner Jay convinces him to create an online profile on a dating app with him being an ordinary man and not the successful business man he is. Jay makes a bet with Alex that he cant get a woman to care about him after he has a credit card that is declined on their date and he appears as though he is struggling like normal people.
After having to pay for their first dinner, Muffy goes with Alex to a field to watch stars and when Alex goes to kiss her, she bashes him on the nose and nearly sends him to the emergency room. They go out again and this time the date is a success and Alex takes Muffy back to his house which is a rented apartment in the wrong part of town. Alex bought a beat up truck to use to drive around while dating Muffy. Things progress in their dates and they start a relationship until Jay tells Carla that Alex was only dating Muffy on a bet. Feelings are hurt and Muffy breaks up with Alex and they are both miserable. Things work out in the end and they have a HEA ending.

Muffy and the broke guy, or Alex takes in an elaborate bet.
Alex is wealthy and jaded. He wants his friend and business partner to make better dating choices so he agrees to a bet with Jay (who is an utter idiot). For twenty bucks, he creates an elaborate ruse that he’s broke and finds a date online.
Muffy has been burned more times than she can count but she’s great bravely agrees to three blind dates. Alex is blind date number three. She’s kind, pays for their dinner and helps a woman getting mugged in the park.
But after nine days, she painfully learns the truth (through her roommate Carla and Jay). Alex lied to her about everything.
Can he man up and win her back?

Muffy and Alexs story is funny, hearth warming and delightful! I laughed, felt sorry for the caracters, angry at things they did and just really enjoyed the story! The supporting caracters of their best friends really added a dimention to the story as well, so all in all I recommend reading this book!

Muffy and alex had both had bad relationships. so they both didn’t trust the opposite sex. When they do online dating and find each other will it work out for them or will it come crashing down. This is romantic, funny, and engaging story.

This book was okay. Muffy was done with men after her boyfriend, Steven, dumped because of her name but her best friend Carla gets her to give it one more try. Alex was trying to convince his best friend Jay that women were interested in more than just the balance in their accounts so when Jay proposed a bet Alex gladly rose to the challenge. When Alex met Muffy he could not believe it, she was too good to be true. Will Muffy let the bet end what could possibly be best thing to happen to her?
Although this story line is not original the author presents it in an original way. My one critique would be that the characters were too immature to say they were in their 30s.

Alex and Jay are business partners for a billion dollar company that develops apps for online counseling. Neither man has been successful with getting and keeping dates with women who aren’t looking at the dollar signs attached to their names. The time has come for them to do something drastic. Jay is a jaded whiner who doesn’t think that women can like a guy that doesn’t have money. They want flowers and spa dates and won’t settle for halfway. Alex refuses to accept those feelings as fact and Jay challenges him to find out if it’s true or not by going online to a dating app and filing a fake profile. Alex really wants to prove to him that he can find a girl who is willing to look past the glitz and the glamour of a billionaire’s life. Bet is on! Muffy is an accountant who just got dumped by a man named Steve who had no redeeming value as a boyfriend. He did nothing but tear her down and make her doubt herself. Muffy’s roommate and dear friend, Carla, convinced her that she should give a dating app a try. I mean, what can it hurt, right? There’s a reason why there’s the phrase “you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince” and Muffy found out with her first date with Pat. I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard during a date and envisioning Pat made me want to cringe! Thankfully, she promised Carla that she would give it 3 tries and a man named Alex was her third date. From the moment they met in the restaurant, there was something special between the two of them. She was beautiful, secure and could even make a joke at her own expense. When Alex’s credit card was “denied,” she didn’t hesitate to pick up the bill herself. Alex is so impressed with everything about her and their witty banter is so much fun! As time progresses, however, this no longer feels like a bet for Alex and he’s a bit uneasy that he ever made the bet in the first place. It’s true that he’s a liar in one sense, but he is really starting to like everything about her. His fear is well-founded because Jay just can’t keep his mouth shut. Muffy is never going to forgive him if she finds out he’s a billionaire who has been lying to her all along. If she does learn the truth, how could he ever regain her trust? The ending is really well-written in how it touches the reader and brings the story full circle. Lovely epilogue!
This plot is fantastic.
I found the plot of this book had quite a few interesting
twist to it.
Most of the time while reading this book I was laughing out loud.
The chemistry between the characters is interesting.

The Dating Game by Lindsey Hart is my second foray into her Alphalicious Billionaire series (all standalone novels). I am so happy that is was just as good…no, it was better than her last book in this series. The main characters, Alex and Muffy, were incredibly likeable characters. I hated the name Muffy and so did the character! The supporting characters Carla and Jax were excellent as well. The four of them together added a lot of depth to the story and made for some hilarious dialogue (internal musings as well). I read this book in one sitting and just absolutely loved it. So far I have not been let down by Lindsey Hart’s books yet and plan to read more! Highly recommend this one!

Alex is a Billionaire that is tired of dating women after his money. His best friend Jay makes a bet that he can’t find a woman to go out with him and not know about him being a billionaire. Muffy is tired of old boyfriends making fun of her name and decides to find a date online. Alex and her go on a blind date and hit it off. On the second date her best friend Carla is there and so is Jay and she thinks she knows who they are. She goes home with Jay and makes him tell her what’s going on. Before she can warn Muffy she and Alex have slept together that night. What will happen when Muffy finds out the next day that she was a bet?
Dating on False Pretenses
A fun novel to read. Muffy gets out of a long-term relationship & her BFF convinces her to go on an on-line dating service. Alex, a billionaire, wants to meet someone who doesn’t see dollar signs or is a shallow, fake woman. He, too, is on the dating service but he pretends to be average to poor. When the truth comes out that he is lying about his true identity, Muffy has to decide on whether she should give him a second chance or not.
