1.Get over my best friend’s brother.2.Remember that I’m over him.3.Prove I can date other people.It should be easy.It’s not.Setting up a dating website with the guy I’ve been in love with since I was five wasn’t my smartest idea.Especially since he’s my best friend’s brother—thankfully, she’s okay with the fact I’m pulling a Sandy and I’m hopelessly devoted to him.Which is why it’s time to get … him.
Which is why it’s time to get over him.
So I do something crazy and ask Dominic Austin to find me a date. He does—if I find him one, too.
Since we own Stupid Cupid, it should be easy, right? And it is.
My date is perfect. His date is perfect. Everything is perfect.
Until he kisses me…
Three dates.
One kiss.
And a big-ass mess…

Finally, all the fighting and tension is coming to a head between Dominic and Chloe! I’ve been waiting for their story since The Upside to Being Single (which you MUST check out)!
Dominic and Chloe have been in love with each other forever. Yet, neither one has acted on it. When Chloe decides to put Dom to the test, and he fails, she’s finally decided to move on. But when Chloe pushes Dom to far one night, all bets are off!
Dom and Chloe have quickly become my favorite couple. Their chemistry in beyond words and the bickering between them had me laughing out loud almost through the entire book! I enjoyed that they both could give as good as they could take. I loved the double POV and waiting for it all to come to blows had me on the edge of my seat! I haven’t been that nervous for a couple to finally get everything out into the open EVER!! And their first kiss…well, I was tingling all the way down to my toes 😉
Rom Coms are my go to read and Emma Hart nails it EVERY single time! The Dating Experiment was a really quick and fun read!
I think Chloe and Dominic have taken over as my favorite couple in the group of books. They are what I would imagine my husband and I to be if we worked with each other. Constantly at each other’s throats, because we have different ways of doing things. Then again like them (once they got to this point) the make-up time would probably make it all worthwhile.
I seriously want to be a part of this group. The women are all amazing but also flawed. It makes them relatable and real. Chloe has been in love with her best friend’s brother for as long as she can remember. It makes her daily life hell because she feels like there is nothing she can do about it. Her frustration with herself and her situation is completely understandable. Her and Dom’s banter is hilarious. I plan on using some of her lines!
Dom has been in love with his sister’s best friend for like 10 years and he feels like there isn’t anything he can do about it. He is stuck with working day in and day out with the one person he feels is perfect for him but she doesn’t know it. Dom is a jack*** but I loved him from the beginning.
The sexual tension is high in this book and come time for it to blow up, it is a volcano. The heat and fore consuming everything around them. I loved the epilogue.
This author has become my go to for Rom-Com books. She knows how to write the funniest characters and make you want to be their best friend.
Been waiting for Chloe’s and Dom’s story since the first book in the series and this gave me plenty of laughs. Was the behavior from both Dom and Chloe mature in the way they constantly argued? Nope. But hell, my grandparents argued like these two in the book and they were married for over 50 years. So clearly, while it might be dysfunctional to an outsider, if each person already knows how the other is and accepts that, who are we to say they shouldn’t be together? Plus, it’s a fictional story, so I just have fun with it. I could certainly understand Chloe’s hesitance on the moving on issue; I would imagine that having had feelings for someone for so long, you’d naturally be a bit resistant to the idea of letting go and moving on. I’m sad this is the end of the series, although I loved the epilogue and how we got mini updates on each couple. Heck, I’m halfway hoping there’s a book about Luca somewhere in the future, I think his story could be a lot of fun!
This was a quick fun read the author. Like most of her other RomCom’s you get the amazing banter, the chemistry between characters and endless amounts of sass and snark from the females.
One of my favorite categories to read is from friends to lovers. I don’t know why I love them so much, but add the twist of “enemies to lovers” and it’s a whole new level of love. The chemistry between Dom and Chloe was amazing and just what I needed and it did not disappoint. They are both so hesitant to admit their feelings together and make the move to admit they want each other. After keeping it a secret from each other for years, Dom finally makes the move and oh does it get funny.The build up between these two was hilarious. Chloe flat out kills me and loved watching all of the sass/snark she’d throw Dom’s way.
You get to see more of Peyton and Mellie, who are introduced in The Upside to Being Single and The Hookup Experiment which was awesome. I can’t wait to get more from the author in the future.
Sexy and Sassy, The Dating Experiment is another great rom-com from Emma Hart. Chloe and Dom are constantly at each others throats. There is a thin line between love and hate, and these two can’t help but toe that line. To put it simply, they are explosive together. Ms. Hart writes fabulous friendships, even better relationships, and The Dating Experiment is no exception.
This book was fast and fun. It was paced quickly and full of wit and humor, along with a great plot that tugged at your heart a few times. It was a great read to get lost in for a couple of hours.
This was a super fun read, filled with hilarious banter, great sexual tension and that classic Hart sass that I absolutely adore.
Friends to lovers is a favorite of mine, as is enemies to lovers. This was a fantastic combination of the two. Dom and Chloe are about as compatible as oil and water, this is only because they are both reluctant to take the first step towards being together. This makes that build up and chemistry all the more entertaining.
Just like in The Upside to being Single and The Hookup Experiment you get that hilarious girl talk in this book as well. It was super fun to get little mentions of Peyton and Mellie. I love the friendship that Emma has created in these books.
You can never go wrong with an Emma Hart rom/com. If you want something to put a smile on your face and make you lol then this is highly recommend.
Another fantastic romantic comedy by Hart. I can always count on her for writing a witty female lead that I would love to be friends with. Chloe is no different. Dom and Chloe have been fighting since The Hook-Up Experiment and readers will not be disappointed for this one. I am truly impressed that Hart keeps the same quality storyline in all of her books.
4 Stars!
The Dating Experiment is a friends-to-lovers romance that showcases Emma Hart’s fun writing style!
The book is shown as book 2 in The Experiment series, but it is really the third book about a trio of lifelong friends finding love. In The Dating Experiment, Chloe, the only remaining single friend is featured. Chloe has been in love with her best friend, Petyon’s, older brother, Dom. But they can only seem to communicate by arguing and yet they own half a matchmaking business together.
The tension between Chloe and Dom is felt on every page. They are combustible goodness. They banter back and forth. Then they go and bet each other they can’t find the other the perfect match. Well, you have to know how that will end. I loved the little push of jealousy between them. I loved the outside interference from their friends/family.
A fun, sexy read!
I was waiting on pins and needles for Dom and Chloe’s book. It did not disappoint! There was the usual fighting, losing stuff, temper flares and of course the sexy times. I wanted to smack Dom a time or two, as well as Chloe for all of their childish behavior holding secrets in and not going for what they wanted. It felt rushed at times, but we already had a history of these two characters from her previous books, so it all played out nicely. Makes me want to start my own dating website, but with a mix of Pick A D**k rules!
FINALLY, Chloe and Dom’s story is HERE and its BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT FANTASTIC! We get the laugh till it hurts humor, the sizzling HOT romance, fabulous banter and a sassy, CRAZY GOOD plot in The Dating Experiment!
Since I read The Hook-Up Experiment, I have been ANXIOUSLY waiting for Dom and Chloe to get their HEA and OH BOY, I was ECSTATIC with their book. I fell in love from the first paragraph and was continually entertained throughout their book. I laughed, I sighed, my feelings got involved right along with my heart and I LOVED IT! This is an ABSOLUTE ONE-CLICK read! Emma Hart does rom-coms right and you won’t be disappointed. Just thinking of The Dating Experiment makes me giddy and smile from ear to ear.
The Dating Experiment gets a CRAZY ENTERTAINING FIVE SHOOTING STARS!
Emma Hart’s books are like pure candy to me – Sweet and addicting. Add to the fact that this was a best friend’s brother story and I was SO HOOKED! And boy was this story fantastic!! I loved The Dating Experiment as I felt Dom and Chloe were perfect for one another. She was feisty and sassy and everything Dom needed to bring him to his knees. I loved the push and pull between them and honestly couldn’t get enough of this story!
Having read The Hook-Up Experiment, I was ready for Dom and Chloe’s story and could not wait to see the fireworks explode between them. This novel was laugh out loud funny, snarky and filled to the brim with antics only Emma Hart can deliver. I love her characters almost as much as her storylines!
Dom and Chloe had chemistry and feelings and once you factored in the old fashion concept of jealousy – it caused all types of explosions. I thought this novel was so sexy and delivered lots of smiles, sighs and swoons that only this author can deliver. Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
This book is right in line with the sassy and sweet romantic comedies that Emma has been filling my kindle with. Chloe and Dom were completely engaging. I couldn’t get enough of their bickering as it seemed to endear them even more to me.
Chloe is tired of watching her friends find happiness while she’s hung up on the one person who doesn’t notice her. So what is a girl to do when you finally make the decision to get over your unrequited love and life throws your one desire right in you lap? Get angry, push him away and then grab him with both hands and don’t let go.
Dom was always loosing things but the one think he couldn’t lose was his feelings for his sister’s best friend and his business partner. Determined to prove that he can move passed his feelings and find Chloe the perfect date that is exactly what he does. Until watching her kiss another man sets his blood boiling. Chloe in turn sets Dom up with the ideal date too but while pushing for information regarding his date she gets a little more information than she bargained for.
I enjoyed watching Dom and Chloe dance around each other and finally fall. I could tell with them that they would be fighting till the end. Chloe’s quick wit and Dom’s ability to rile her up and calm her down was what kept me turning the pages. Let’s not forget the secondary characters that we have come to love. Mellie, Peyton, Elliot and Jake all have a hand in helping Chloe and Dom find their way. Catching up with them was entertaining in itself and was sure to put a few smiles on my face and make me laugh.
Chloe and Dom are co-owners of a dating site called Stupid Cupid. Chloe has been in love with Dom since they were both little and growing up together. Dom is also the brother to one of Chloe’s best friends.
Unfortunately, Chloe has finally realized that there’s no way that Dom will ever want to be with her and that she needs to move on. She needs to get over him. In order to do that, she needs to go on dates. So, what does she do? She gets Dom to set her up on a date. But, she also agrees to set up Dom on a date as well. Each one has to go on three dates with the person the other one sets them up with. Sounds simple? Yes, except, Dom is in love with Chloe too!
On the first date, they both end up at the same restaurant and are watching the other person on their date. By the time they’re going on the second date, they’re fighting. Of course, when you love someone that much there’s a very fine line between love and hate and before you know it, Dom is crossing it and kissing Chloe. She’s so shocked, she runs away! How could he do that to her when she’s trying to get over him?
What happens next? Will Chloe walk away or will she go back for more? Get the book to find out more. You won’t be disappointed in the ending!
Chloe Collins has been in love with her best friends older brother for as long as she can remember. Complicated doesn’t begin to describe their relationship. Co-owners of the dating site Stupid Cupid and barely getting along at the best of times, Chloe decides she is finally ready to give up her lifelong crush on Dominic Austin.
Dominic Austin had no idea how Chloe felt about him, and when she suddenly decides that it’s time for her to be set up on a date of her own, everything they thought they knew about each other is going to change.
And now Dom realizes that its up to him to take their non-relationship into his own hands…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chloe has been hiding her crush on Dom for a very long time. With all of their fighting and their sharing of a business together, it has never seemed like a good idea to come clean. With her two best friends rooting for her, she decides if she really wants to move on then she needs to start seriously dating, and she knows just the person to find her a match…
Dominic is forever losing things and constantly driving Chloe crazy. Completely clueless about the kind of attention he attracts from women, he is flabbergasted when Chloe admits she once had feelings for him. And then, Dom is further thrown for a loop when Chloe asks him to find her a date… but if they are really doing this, then she should have to do the same for him.
This book was a fun and sexy read, with two characters whose bickering can only lead to something hot and heavy… if they would only ever let that happen.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Loved the frenemies to lovers story.
Once again, Emma Hart has outdone herself. The Dating Experiment, the second half of ‘The Experiment’ duet was an absolutely funny, endearingly entertaining and steamy sexy rom/com of a standalone. Yeah, I know I said it was part of a duet, but not in the traditional sense. Book 2 focuses on a different couple from book 1, The Hook-Up Experiment.
This is Chloe and Dom’s story. It’s a best friends to lovers tale and it’s deliciously amusing, sexy as sin and just a plain, good old fashioned romp. The characters were spot on, as usual for Emma, the writing had me in tears of laughter more than once and of course the ending was in my mind, flipping awesome.
Dom and Chloe were perfect for each other. They’d both harboured feelings for the other for a long time, but they both thought they were meant for someone else, but when the green-eyed giant reared its ugly head things soon took a different tack and set them on a completely new track. When they are finally brought together it had a lot of emotions raging under the surface and then bubbling over. Not all was sunshine and roses though, these two had a lot to work through to get to where they belonged.
The dual POV let us inside their heads and gave us the perspective we may have missed from one if it had been a single POV. The chemistry between them was hard to hide, even with their snarly bantering and pretending to hate each other. I loved the push and pull they had going and was rooting for them the whole time.
Hearing from Peyton and Mellie was a nice bonus too.
The Dating Experiment is Emma Hart’s new laugh out loud romance. I always know Emma is going to entertain me, make me laugh, cry, swoon and laugh some more. We have met Chloe and Dominic before and they are effing hilarious! They bicker, fight and bicker some more. It’s the best kind of foreplay! Dom is funny, sexy and loses everything! Chloe is stubborn, beautiful and crazy pants! But in the best way. She’s been in love with Dom since she was a kid. He’s in love with her too, but neither of them is going tell the other. It’s frustrating at times, but hilarious! The way to get over each other. Set the other up on a date. Sure, that will work! Until they kiss. Then everything is different! Better. Crazy. Can they make it work? They already fight, what else is there? Can they admit their feelings before they drive each other off a figurative cliff? I loved Dom and Chloe! They made me laugh out loud and swoon. They made me mad, but I loved them anyway! Dom is seriously sexy as sin and so funny! He’s nothing like I thought he would be. Thank you, Emma!
None of the people she could ever match me with would be good enough. None of them would ever be her.
“God, next time you’re tell me that wine isn’t really grape juice.”
“It’s not pure grape juice.”
“Watch your filthy mouth.”
“If you think that’s filthy, you should hear me during football.”
“I’m not hesitating because I don’t want to, I’m hesitating because I want you so much that if I kiss you, I don’t know if I’ll be able to stop.”
Fantastic book! I do love me some rom-com and Emma Hart is queen. I was ready for Dom and Chloe. and I wasn’t disappointed. This book was greatness, it was funny, and sexy hot. These two play off each other so well, and it was entertaining to read. The pacing was amazing, and the author certainly knows how to keep the reader interested.
These two are the epitome of sexual tension. There has been build up from other books and I have been dying to get my hands on these two. I absolutely love their bickering and how much they get under each other’s skin. The book was packed with fun and hilarious. They are magnets to each other and they don’t know how to navigate any of it. I was hooked and kept reading and reading and read it in less than a day. I absolutely loved it!
“I could never regret” reading this book!
I knew going into this book that it wouldn’t be an easy ride for Dominic and Chloe. They have a long history and they bicker worse than siblings. This is a sweet, funny, and hot enemies to lovers romance. There were plenty of moments where I was frustrated and wanted to reach in between the words and slam the characters together so they would just realize that they loved each other. However, the sweet moments, the ones that came after the back and forth, where things finally fell into place were my favorite.
After meeting Dom and Chloe in the previous books, I was ready for their interactions to explode. They bicker and argue about anything and everything. They push each other to limits no one else would even dare to approach because they have known each other for so long. Their chemistry and emotions were everything. I was laughing and swooning as this book left a huge smile on my face.
You could read this book as a stand-alone but my advice is to not! Don’t miss out on Mellie falling for Jake, and Peyton and Elliot finding each other. You won’t’ regret the laughs you’ll get from every character in this world. I love getting glimpses of these other characters in this story and seeing where they are after their own stories ended.
I’m off to buy some donuts. The same thing happened to me after reading the previous books set in this world. The characters enjoy some hot, fresh, donuts and now my cravings for them are through the roof.
Hot damn! I get completely tickled when an Emma Hart book hits my kindle and I’ve been waiting on Dom and Chloe’s story for ages! They’ve been killing me with their slow teases and the humorous taunting. I knew this story was going to knock me back and it did! Something comes over me when I read Emma Hart… it’s a compulsion… I can’t put it down! So, I finished this book within a few hours. I devoured every single word! I’m incredibly sad that I’m finished with Mellie, Peyton, and Chloe… these ladies, they’ve slayed me a million times and all I wanted to do is go on a shopping trip and hang with these three! I can’t handle that our friendship is over… leave me and my insanity alone… you don’t understand my introvertedness!
Anyway, back to the main book. This was a super sexy and fun read. I spent most of this book with a smile on my face or tsking Dom. I loved the way they had this cut-throat banter… they didn’t know whether to murder each other or head to the bedroom! Emma Hart perfected this trio of books, I’m honestly not sure if I could have loved this book more than I do! I laughed out loud at least every other page… it was jam-packed full of snark and this glorious banter that was just too fun! If Ms. Emma Hart writes it, I’ll read it… and LOVE every single word!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
