For fans of John Connolly, Nevada Barr, and dogs of all shape and size, the first novel in the new Flint K-9 Search and Rescue Mysteries, from the author of the USA Today-bestselling Erin Solomon Mysteries.Meet Jamie Flint — a no-nonsense veteran K-9 trainer and handler with a ‘gift’ she’d be happy to return: like her dogs, Jamie can sense things the rest of the world is blind to.When teenage … world is blind to.
When teenage sisters go missing in the mysterious ‘Bennington Triangle’ of Vermont, an area renowned for its disappearances, and strange occurrences over the past hundred years, FBI agent Jack Juarez brings Jamie and her dog Phantom in to assist with the search. When Jack learns that the case shares haunting similarities with the murders of the missing girls’ aunts ten years before, he realizes they’re dealing with much more than two girls who simply wandered off the beaten path. And when a young girl appears in the shadows, visible to Jamie alone, it becomes clear that something is desperately wrong here.

this was a fun book to read. was able to pick up w/out having to have read any prior books….it seemed like there were
This book held my attention from the beginning. Has mystery and a bit of paranormal with just a touch of romance. Good book for animal lovers. This is a series and I would definitely read the other books in the series.
This is my first book by Jen Blood but it won’t be my last. The characters felt real from the beginning of the story (and several wonderful tidbits about their pasts were revealed slowly, with more to come, I’m sure.) I was on the edge of my seat, never quite knowing if Blood was willing to kill her main characters or not. This is shaping up to be a great series!
I was captured by the characters in the first chapter! I could not put this down with the twists and turns. I showcases what rescue dogs and their partners do to help find those who are lost. Great story and I highly recommend.
Different, engaging an unusual spin on super natural abilities. I want more like this.
Liked this book so much that I immediately ordered the other 2 books in the series! Can’t wait to read them!
This was an interesting read, the first of a new series. I learned things. The characters are well-drawn. I hope this author keeps writing. I suspect there will be growth as she moves forward.
A powerful book. Just want to read on.
Loved tthe dog!
Very heartbreaking.
Sorry just couldn’t get into this book. It was number 1 in a series but there was a backstory that was either in another book or just not explained well.
This is not my first Jen Blood novel. I started with her Erin Solomon mysteries. The Flint K-9 series is a spin-off from that. I loved the main character Jamie Flint and her SAR dog Phantom from the first series. If new to Jen Blood I would start with the Erin Solomon series to truly understand the characters. Jen Blood has a real magical touch when it comes to developing relatable characters. The suspense and mystery she creates in this novel has you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The romance remains very subtle, just an energy that you sense but never truly see that amps up the mystery making the suspense more intense. This book kept me guessing all the way to the end. Another book that I could not put down. I can’t wait to see where Jen goes with this series!
This series has a mysterious back story, which I enjoyed. Very good set of books. I will read Jen Blood again.
Page turner mystery with lots of search dog action and some romance too.
Great book!
If you love dogs and the paranormal, you will likely find this book interesting. It is a promising start to the series.
It’s a fantastic hair raising story. Very detailed but easy to read.
Hard to put this book down. Loved it. Bought the next one.
It was an easy fast moving book. The characters were realistic and genuine. It also had dogs in it, which made it special.
great dog depictions; was looking for extra touches–historic/intriguing…
