I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Alexander and Hannah. She’s a young woman who is heard to her mom’s house to clean it up since she passed. On the way there she passes a monument for the unknown rider. She’s feels for the poor soul since she feels the same type of loss, her great uncle’s remains are still missing. Later an unexpected visitor offers to help her with the repairs. This leads to Hannah and Alexander spending time together.

The Dark Rider by Lisa Freed is an awesome story to read. This is an awesome story that I have had the privilege to read and I loved it can not wait to read another book of hers. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about dark and paranormal romances in their stories.

Can you stretch out your home repairs forever?
The Dark Rider is definitely an interesting and enjoyable short story. It contains a paranormal element but it is not central to the entire story, as you just get a hint of it throughout most of the story but then it comes out towards the end.
Hannah is an elementary school teacher who is fixing up her mothers house during her summer break so she can sell it. He mother passed a few months ago and this is not the house or the town that she grew up in so there is no sentimental attachment.
One day on her way home from town she passes the local statue to the nameless rider. Later that afternoon a man shows up at the house with the flyer she had posted that morning at the hardware store looking for a handyman to help her. Alexander is a handsome man but there is something else about him that Hannah cannot just get. Let’s just say that there are some strange things happening around town since Alexander showed up.
This is a really fun story with many twists to the story line, which is solid. Lisa Freed’s writing is firm and the characters of Hannah and Alexander are wonderful. You can tell that these two care about each other even if they do not take it further than barely even touching each other and sharing a kiss or two. That is until later when the story takes a very interesting turn.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Hannah Crane cries over The Unknown Rider’s gravestone and goes home where she starts working in the yard of the house she is trying to get ready to sell. She has placed an ad looking for a handyman when it starts to rain a hand reaches out to help her collect her items up,it is Alexander Wells he says he has come to answer the ad. Who is Alexander Wells? I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
