A Box with three books.
Three brothers, with stories that are happening in France, full of comedy, mystery, lies and truths coming to the fore and much romance.
Sebastian, the eldest of the d’Arcy brothers (Darcy) is the president of the company.
He is hunted by the media as a successful businessman, but also has dangerous enemies.
Raphael, takes care of one of the parties of the company and is the womanizer, until he finds himself entangled by a temporary employee and, later, discovers that she was a woman full of secrets.
Noah spends most of his life away from older siblings because of stories told by his mother. He tries to lead his life as best he can, without taking advantage of the family’s fortune.
But when he discovers the truth, a lot of things start to make sense, and so the Darcy brothers can get back together.

Totally enjoyed this series. Being a huge fan of Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’, I was pleased that this inspried Book One of the series was just as entertaining. Sebastian and Diane are a great enemies to lovers couple. The serious and brooding Sebastian enlists Diane, the fiesty and brutally honest woman of a lower social class who despises him, to uncover who is out to sabotage his life. Their dialogue and interactions are fun, witty, and full of sexual tension. Perfect!
Book Two is about Raphael and Mia. In this story, I admit that I did not like Mia. She’s exceptionaly smart, obviously, going for her PhD but, her thoughts and actions seem whiny and not confident especially while engaging in a clandestine affair with Raphael. I also, wanted to hit Mia upside the head for all of her lies. Lies never work, as smart as she is, you would think that it would be a no brainer. And, don’t get me wrong, Raphael seems clueless to Mia’s feelings and reactions either because he is completely clueless or, he just doesn’t care. In the end, there is a happy ever after but, it felt too long coming.
Noah and Sophie’s story in Book Three is charming. Noah is a sweetheart. He is exceptional with Sophie as their friendship grows into an intimate relationship. The only problem is all of Noah’s lies. Once again…lies catch up to you and at the least opportune moment, as in the case with Noah and Sophie. It also doesn’t help when your mother (Noah’s) and father (Sophie’s) manipulate the situation in their favor and not in the best interests of Noah and Sophie. I love their story and it is a great conclusion to the series.
Some authors annoy us. The Darcy Brothers series annoyed me. Nichols seemed to have one idea for a book, and she repeated it in a series. She knew one good sex scene, and she managed to repeat it ad nauseam in the series. I resented being taken in by high ratings. Because of this series, I am not interested in reading other books by this author.
Alix Nichols is a new discovery of mine. Little by little I have been trying her books and it looks like I’ve found a winner. A good read to me has three main characteristics: the main characters have to entrance me, the story has to captivate me and it has to be a feast for the senses. Seduction is a good start but it needs to offer more emotion than heat. I am voluntarily reviewing an Advance Reader Copy of The Darcy Brothers series. The Darcy Brothers series gave me exactly what I needed to fall in love. A tempting hero, a spirited heroine all held together by heart. Ms. Nichols sets out to charm and that is a temptation in itself. The Darcy Men are mysterious, mischievous and masterful at controlling their own destiny. It takes women of strength to show them that vulnerability is not a weakness but an aphrodisiac. Anytime I start reading and finish a novel in one sitting, it has to be good.
