An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

Great story, easy read
The great premise was marred by the clunky writing but I still enjoyed this tale of templars and religious fanaticism. A pity the heroine was a bit wimpy.
Oh yes!!
Great read, can’t wait for more from the author
Fascinating book. I loved the adventure. TOTALLY unrealistic, but entertaining!
This book has it all. I love the author and have read many of his books. I saw the movie after I read the book and as usual the movie was not as good. Edge of your seat reading with unusual characters and the twists you would expect. Make sure you have time because it’s hard to put down.
This book was my introduction to Dan Brown. I was captivated by the way he made me see things in a way I never had. Brown’s books set me on a path to the pleasures of the genre.
Amazing. I read the book before the movie came out and enjoyed it much more than the movie, which I still enjoy watching. Great storytelling, many threads that are weaved into a maze and then brought back together to make sense. And, though I am not a conspiratist this has made me question the possibility.
Very good
Great love Dan Brown’s books
Well written. Draws the reader in almost immediately and keeps the suspense building until the very end. I loved it.
This book revitalized a whole genre way back when.
Excellent. Keeps you guessing – Keeps you interested – Keeps you spellbound as it nears the end. Well worth reading. Much better than the movie.
Great novel. Keep in mind it’s fiction and have fun.
Around the world archeological treasure hunt mystery that keeps you guessing as the plot grows deeper. Great character development. A fun ride as you explore history and hidden mysteries of historical possibilities.
Learn some history that is enjoyable … Well written.
Riveting from beginning to end
I liked it, but it isn’t literature. It is a good read.
Entertaining but the but played fast and loose with the Masons and Christianity
Hooked at the first few chapters and couldn’t stop. I is controversial but also makes you look at the premise and makes you take a second look.
