An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

If you don’t take this book too seriously, it’s a great suspense, mystery thriller.
A classic
The plot was great, but I didn’t like the writing style.
Different
Hard to put the book down. Got a little unrealistic at the end, but first 90% of the book was great!
I really loved this book because I love the whole idea that maybe the Bible got it wrong where Jesus is concerned in certain aspects of his life. And I couldn’t solve any of the puzzles! It’s very action packed, very involved, very intellectually stimulating. It keeps your brain entertained and on its toes.
A great book
Quite an adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed it .
I love historical mysteries. This book was the first of his I read and I really enjoyed it. I think Angels and Demons was the better book. But, I recommend all of them.
If you have watched the movie, the book clears up any holes in the story. Enjoy
I read this book some years ago. A very interesting book. Well written by the author.
Terrific action read.
Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Just didn’t care for it
Great writer. Everyone should read his books!
Dale Brown is a great writer. The book is definitely BETTER THAN THE MOVIE! So much is lost in the movie. Take a few evenings or a rainy weekend and enjoy!
I really liked this book. Having said “informative,” I also want to say that a lot in this book must be taken with rather a lot of poetic license. Still, a very good read.
Dan Brown does an amazing job building His world where you believe in all the conspiracies and even learn a few new ones you never even considered before. The story in engaging and it’ll keep you hooked. You won’t know who to trust and when you think you know something you’ll realize you know nothing.
I love this book!!
Dan Brown is impressive in his knowledge of place (in this case, Rome), and his ability to weave it and Art into the fabric of a story. A great, unputdownable book!
