An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

A fast, easy and entertaining read.
Great story, awesome characters.
Brings you back for more.
I have no idea why this book was such a phenomenon. It had basically the same plot as Angels and Demons, felt like I had already read it.
Great.
Loved everything about it.
I read most of it, but it was a struggle through every page. To me, it was boring and long winded. I had heard so many great things, I think I just expected too much.
For a lot of people, it seems to be fascinating. For me, it was not. I have tried to watch the movie to see if that made me more interested in the book, but I couldn’t get into the …
Great story line.
Loved it from front to back. Dan Brown always a good read.
This book allows, one to critically think about ones own beliefs. It can be hard to differentiate between historical fact and good writing.
Great read.
A classic for a reason, truly unreal storytelling, in a great way!
Dan Brown has been a favorite author of mine for many years.

Totally engrossing and thought provoking, is everything we have been taught, covering another truth?
Read this few yrs ago now. Book much better than movie. Enjoyed it SO much more when I purchased a copy with correlating photos!! Definitely thought provoking. Helped me to know some of history behind items throughout book. Worth reading for entertainment.
This book is a fascinating and fast-paced adventure that blend history with the present.

“National Treasure” on steroids. History fact and history fiction get completely wrapped up within each other in Dan Brown’s books to such an extent that you just don’t give a damn. The “Da Vinci Code” is a whirlwind of adventure!
