An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

Excellent read. Read in a day cause it grabbed my attention from page one.
Very thought-provoking.
The Da Vinci code got me back into reading after not even picking a book up for a long time. I was recommended it by a friend and it blew me away. I read the book over a weekend and I couldn’t put it down, the world and the characters created by Dan Brown are incredible. His attention to detail is second to none and the history intertwined with …
My favorite librarian and I read this book at the same time. I didn’t picture Tom Hanks as the lead, but that’s Hollywood for you. The thing that is QUITE unbelievable, is that Dr. Landon can do all of this traveling, fighting with bad guys, etc in 24 hrs! And no jet lag. This is not very realistic in my opinion, but Brown does it in the rest …
I love the idea to do book-tourism right from my sofa, reading Dan Brown historical fiction and searching the internet or zapping the smart-tv to check those art monuments, pictures and fountains where Dan Brown’s book takes place.
I just need my Dan Brown’s Book and Wikipedia to do so.
(Book-Online Art-Tourism, or think VR-Video Game Tourism …

Too many “give me a break” moments for me.
Meh. I don’t see what all the fuss was about. Writer tries to make his fantasies real. (Yawn)
Even though the information that this book is based on has been shown to be false, it’s a darn good read.
