An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

5he best of Dan Brown’s books!!!
I couldn’t put it down.
Great book. I love anything that is an intellectual clue hunt and/or a conspiracy theoryand this did not disappoint.
Fantastic!
Dan Brown at his best!
The Dá Vinci Code took me on the ride of my life through mysteries upon mysteries. It takes mastery to pull this through. Thumbs up to Dan Brown.
good story, very poorly written. Brown stories are excellent, but he needs a ghost writer.
A page turner from page 1 in the spirit of John Grisham. It was the first Dan Brown book I read and spurred to read 5 other books by him. But this was the best one barely beating out Angels and Demons (probably because I read it first). This is a book you can easily read in one sitting. Historical parts of the book are very informative as are the …
My recommendation is that it is a book I read and I recommend it to others who havenot!
I read this book while sitting in a chair at Borders (I hope the loss of that sale didn’t help put that store under! I used to like them). It was a quick read, wonderful fiction and caught my attention since the premise is so conspiratorial
A page turner. And fun to read about a race through places you’ve visited as a tourist
Makes you want to know what is the truth in the book and how much is fiction. Is the truth greater than the fiction?
Rereads are just as much fun
Better than the movie!
This is not my usual type of reading but I definitely enjoyed the twists and turns. The suspense was adequate but not overdone.
This is a book that keeps one up at night reading to see what happens next. Yes there are parts that seem a little far fetched but so worth the read.
I DON’T RECCOMEND THIS BOOK.BROWN DOESN’T KNOW WHAT HE’S TALKING ABOUT.HAS SO MUCH DISINFORMATION IN HIS BOOK.
Loved the twists and turns. Love all his books
A great book. The first and the best of the historical / mystery / ancient cult / conspiracy genre.
A terrific read for those who have been living under a rock for the last 15 years and missed it earlier.
One of those books I can’ put down, very interesting and challenging. Highly recommend.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve read this, but it is a very good book.
