An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

Excellent read!
What’s good about the book is that the way Dan Brown writes, leads the reader to believe that his narrative is very close to the truth in historical accuracy. The sad fact is that much of the book is far from credible. There is way too much speculation, innuendo and outright falsehoods. Whether intentional or not, is not the point. The issue …
bought the paperback and then the hardback with all the pictures!!!!
Just when you think you have it figured out, it hits you with a completely different angle.
Fabulous read. I purchased the hard back edition with loads of pictures. Even though I later went to e-books with my Kindle, I have kept this hard back copy. I was deeply moved by the story.
Loved, loved this book.
In my learning process, I love learning from different writers. I also recommend his Masterclass
I would love to see a complete series of this type of novel, European unique. Just the right amount of intrigue to keep the pages turning quickly. Only brilliantly written captivating novels are made into movies, as this one was. Very pleased I chose it to read.
Great story.
Great read. Had me wanting to read it all of the time.
one of the best books i’ve read. will keep you rivited to the very end.
Just read it. Thank me later.
Loved this book!!!!!
Cliches but entertaining.
It’s a very suspenseful and intriguing book. If you like historical mysteries then this one is a must read.
It was a good romp many years ago. I read more by Dan Brown because I liked this one.
Disappointingly the same as the first one.
Mysterious societies and codes. Symbols give clues that, in turn, move to more symbols and clues. In real life, most symbols can mean more than one thing, so one can’t take the Da Vinci Code as gospel truth. But, it’s interesting reading nonetheless.
Great book. Fast action from start to finish with great characters. Loved it.
Love alternate history and Dan Brown delivered!
