An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

After reading this book I got hooked on all dan browns books!
Love love love an amazing possibility makes so much sense.just saying.
There’s a reason this series became movies…
I liked this novel but not nearly as much as I liked his ANGELS AND DEMONS.
Not much to say considering everyone has already said it! Love thinking outside the box and this is a nice mental ride. Definitely makes me think!
One of my all time favorite audiobooks… I have listened to the series about three times … great imaginative storytelling and a great reader
This is a very good book
This was the first Dan Brown book I read….I read them all. Can’t wait for another one!!
Great beach read and a definite page-turner!
What a great read. Could not put it down.
I love DAN Brown books and his characters. This one was terrific.
It wasn’t deserving of the over-hype it received a couple of years ago. An easy beach or plane read.
Based on historical facts but building a terrific mystery novel around them.
A history lesson of incredible speculation!
I really didn’t see the twists and turns coming when I first read this. And while additional reads don’t hold the same surprises, it still holds up and a great book.
Very entertaining…a page turner
Will always remain a classic. The subtle twists and turns in the story line hold your attention well. Characters are given depth for the most part, making The Da Vinci Code a very good and well worth while read.
What a page turner. Loved the book and the movie. I ama Dan Brown fan..
Excellent writing and very thought provoking. I was quite intrigued by Brown’s perspective in the evolution of religion.
The major premise is faulty. Anyone who has done any genealogical research knows that after 2000 years , if someone has progeny the chances of his line dwindling down to one single individual are nil. He would much more likely have descendants numbered in the millions, if not billions.
