An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

A favorite! Having visited the sites mentioned made this book a great read!
Ok but not worth the hoopla! Good mystery but the Dan needs to get over his bias against the Catholic Church
Loved it.
Trite and ridiculous. Poor writing and he had to resort to cliffhangers at the end of each chapter to try to convince the reader to keep going. Too much deus-ex-machina for me.
what should I say? it’s a masterpiece of Dan brown. Everyone must read this book
It was fun at first but then it dragged on and on and on. I found the ending a let down.
exciting and educational. well worth the read.
This book made me a Dan Brown fan for life
One of my all time favorite books.
It’s by far the best of Dan Brown novels that I’ve read so far.
Breathless pace carries one over the sophomoric writing.
This story kept me on the edge of my seat so to speak. A definet page turner and I had a hard time putting it down.
This book opened a whole new world for me and all the people I know who read it. My sons were caught up in the theories and Jesus. Religion was suddenly interesting and my sons looked for symbolism everywhere. This is the only book either son has read beyond required reading for school and they loved it( a five star for them).

Loved this book, couldn’t stop reading
I enjoyed this book. It’s a story, it’s fiction, don’t over think it. I have a friend who won’t read it because she’s catholic. I’m amazed at the reactions people are having over this book. It’s a fictional story, and I enjoyed it.
Most enjoyable!
